NEW UPDATE!! EMILIE KIT & SIGNATURE WEAPON CHANGES (MAJOR BUFFS) – Genshin Impact

The 4.8 beta started last week, and yesterday, the testers received the first update. There have been some minor changes to Emilie’s kit, but her signature weapon has received a major buff after this update. So in this video, we will take a look at all the changes to Emilie’s kit, but keep in mind that most of the changes were just text corrections here and there, so they don’t affect the numbers, which is why I’m going to skip them.

Starting with her signature weapon, the Lumidouce Elegy: it is a 5-star weapon and Emilie’s signature polearm that is tailor-made to maximize her damage output. According to information from HomDGCat, her signature weapon has received major changes; its passive effect description has been reworked, and Emilie’s energy restoration in the passive has been buffed as well. After the update, Lumidouce Elegy at level 90 provides a 608 base attack and 33.1% crit rate, which is the same as before, but as I said, its passive has been buffed.

Before this update, the attack of the character using this weapon was increased by 15/19/23/27/31%. When the equipping character triggered Burning on an opponent, the damage dealt was increased by 18/23/28/33/38%. This effect lasted for 8 seconds with a maximum of 2 stacks. When 2 stacks were reached or when the duration of the 2nd stack was refreshed, it restored 8/9/10/11/12 Energy. Energy could be restored this way once every 12 seconds. The 2 aforementioned effects could be triggered even when the character was off-field.

And now, according to HomGDCat’s recent information, when the equipping character triggers Burning on an opponent or deals Dendro damage to Burning opponents, the damage dealt is increased by 18/23/28/33/38%. With this change, Emilie is no longer forced to trigger Burning herself, and it also provides the polearm weapon with more versatility in terms of characters who can use this weapon. Lumidouce Elegy’s passive effect can restore a small amount of energy when you have two stacks or the duration of the 2nd stack is refreshed, and now they have buffed the energy multipliers on the passive. At refinement rank 1, you will now restore 12/13/14/15/16 Energy, instead of 8/9/10/11/12 Energy. So this weapon is now more useful in terms of its efficiency.

Moving on to her Elemental Skill: In case you don’t know, her E creates a case that deals AoE Dendro Damage. It fires Puffs of Puredew at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Dendro damage, and when nearby opponents are affected by Burning, they will give off Scents at intervals. The Lumidouce Case collects nearby Scents, and it will level up after gathering 2 of them, after which it will fire 1 extra Puff of Puredew when firing, while the damage dealt by the above attack will also be increased.

There haven’t been any changes to her Elemental Burst, but her passive talents and constellations have received some adjustments. Her first passive talent is called Lingering Fragrance: Each time it collects 2 Scents, the Level 2 Lumidouce Case will consume Scents and release Cleardew Cologne that deals AoE Dendro damage equal to 500% of Emilie’s Attack to opponents, and this damage is not considered Elemental Skill damage.

Before this, Emilie couldn’t trigger this effect for 30 seconds after triggering the catalyze or spread reactions, but they have removed this restriction in the recent update. The second talent is basically the same as before, as all party members gain 85% Pyro resistance against Burning damage when the Lumidouce Case is on the field.

Other than these, her C1, C2, C4, and C6 have received some minor text adjustments, but again, they don’t affect the numbers, so I’m not going to mention them. According to the testers, Emilie is looking like an average character. She causes relatively high damage, but her mechanism is very ordinary, and due to her talent, she can only use the Burning reaction as the core for team compositions. The characters who will benefit from her are Dehya and Wriothesley.

  1. If we get the pyro equivalent of Fischal either from the first Natlan units or Pyro MC, she’ll look a lot better. Pyro is in desperate need of side grades or upgrades to Bennet and Xiangling. Honestly I’m really liking these niche supports like Chevy. Units that buff one style of play a ridiculous amount. If only overload hit like vaporize and melt, but that would be broken in a lot of ways.

  2. I dunno if I was sleep-deprived or just efffed in the head before, but emilie is gonna synergize well with Natlan Pyro AOE characters, isn't she?
Currently maybe with Klee. So she might become really useful in the new region. Wow. I'm only just realising this now😮

  3. I mentioned elsewhere that beidou’s parry would be automatically triggered by burning and someone told me it wouldn’t have synergy with A4. Now beidou works with Emilie
