Itās so sad to see Shuyu say goodbye to her last family member š¢. Like the path of cultivation is very long. By the time Yuandai can become human again, Shuyu would probably be an adult with her family of her own. Or at worst Shuyu would be an old grandmother by then. I kind of hoped that we can see Yuandai as a crane around Mt. Aocang sometimes. Though I am glad Cloud Retainer took Shuyu as a disciple like I was wondering how a little girl is going to survive on her own.

sure, xianyun may think comforting words aren't her strong suit, but the words she said starting 1:36:05 are downright comforting to me as someone whose main love language is words of affirmation. some people need to hear that they're doing all they can, and the affirmation is more than enough for some to try again. i absolutely love how her motherly nature perfectly shined through the story cutscene <3
