A few hours ago, we got new info about the changes in the upcoming banner, including new character skin leaks!

Today, we’ll be discussing the updated banner from version 5.3 to 5.4, including all the new characters, reruns, Chronicle Wish, new character skin leaks, and the expected release date.

This video is going to be interesting, so grab something to eat, sit back, and watch until the end!

Without further ado, let’s get started.

First, let’s look at the new character lineup in version 5.3.

As you guys know, we’re getting our Pyro Archon “mommy” in version 5.3 as a playable character, and it’s now confirmed that she’ll be in this update!

Alongside her, we’re also getting Citlali, a new five-star Cryo Catalyst support character. Both are now confirmed by reliable sources to be in version 5.3, with Mavuika in the first phase and Citlali in the second.

Now, on to the reruns.

There’s been so much going on regarding reruns after the recent info we got from hfudisjdji. According to them, we’ll be getting Xianyun and Shenhe reruns. Looking at both of them, these leaks seem reliable, even if the banner might not be exactly as described.

For Xianyun, I’ve been telling you guys that she’d get her rerun in version 5.3, since it’s a perfect time for her first rerun during Lantern Rite, which is in 5.3. She was released in last year’s Lantern Rite, which was in 4.4, and it’s been so long—she’s still waiting for her first rerun! So it makes sense for her to be featured during Lantern Rite, as we usually get one Liyue character in the normal banner during this event.

As for Shenhe, I can’t confirm her rerun in 5.3 yet. This is because we’ve also been hearing about an Arlecchino rerun prior to these leaks, and her rerun would make sense too. Arlecchino’s banner was released in 4.6, and it’s already been five patches since then (six if she doesn’t get her rerun in 5.3). I don’t think HoYoverse will miss a great opportunity to give Arlecchino her first rerun alongside Mavuika—just imagine! It’s a perfect time for HoYoverse to make our wallets empty and fill theirs.

So, realistically, the chances of two Liyue character reruns at the same time are low. I know Shenhe hasn’t had a rerun for 15 patches, and that’s a big number! It’ll be 16 if she skips 5.3. So, it’s possible we’ll get either Shenhe or Arlecchino in 5.3. I hope they give Shenhe her rerun first, but if Arlecchino comes, the weapon banner could be interesting too.

But these are just my speculations, so don’t take it too seriously!

Other than the Archon rerun, we might see either Shenhe or Arlecchino if one of them isn’t in 5.3. Also, Clorinde is waiting for her rerun, though she might come in 5.5 if she’s not in 5.4.

Lastly, HoYoverse might throw in a random rerun, as they often do. I hope it’s a Wriothesley rerun—my man has been waiting for his first rerun since 4.1! Come on, HoYoverse, give our daddy his rerun already!
