A lot of ppl here believe that Caribert could be Kaeya but I don't think so. This memory was centuries ago and so far, we don't know if there were others from the Alberich bloodline who are pure-blooded & alive apart from Chlothar. Assuming he's the last of his bloodline in that memory, it had to be Caribert to continue it. We have no clear info of what happened to Caribert but I think it's safe to assume that it worked/cured him(?) or else we wouldn't have Kaeya and Kaeya is human.
So something I noticed during this quest, dainslief appears after we wake up. This implies that our sibling was travelling with dain when this happened and his appearance hasn't changed much over the years.
If it were just this I could see someone argue that the memory mixed with real life, but note at 1:33:24 he talks about our "travel companion" who we assume to mean Paimon, but with later information we know it couldn't have been Paimon.

There’s stuff that don’t make sense… so if it was actually aether, did he mean dainslief his travelling companion that he was waiting for in the beginning? Also when clothar said “true identity” did khaenri’ah know aether is going to be the abyss prince? I’m so confused. If he was already the prince why was he calling him traveler and why did aether look like he doesn’t know he’s the prince— I’m soooo confused.

Hi Island! Do u think there's a correlation between the moon sisters and Moirai (Fate – sisters) who spin the loom of fate? I know there's already speculation that paimon is one of the moon sisters. And if that is so, whatt if paimon's role here to ensure that the traveller stays on track with his destiny. So the key to the loom of fate could be paimon.

Last theory. Lol… "the sinner" is Fate. If you go back to the Dialogue where the cryo herald came and stopped them he said, "Fate has not granted you the right to enter this place" and Fate was written like this. As a name not fate with all small caps.
In 1:33:24 he mentioned that he saw our travelling companion. He didnt specify if it was Paimon or Dain, cuz i feel like if it's Paimon he would ask if a white pixie is our companion we talked about. However, this is supposed to be a dream where we actually is our sibling, i wonder if that companion that's supposedly left us to the forest is Dain. And if we part our way there and then since it seems we ally with Chlothar to create Abyss Order abd Dain refused to be part of it.
along the quest after we got waken up by dain and he left i felt alot of sus things like where tf is paimon she wont just wander off the forest with dain, the cave between sumeru and chasm is different and why the traveller is kinda sus too to the herald which is different to current ones, also near the end when i kinda put all the pieces I understood that time why nahida isnt answering since she probably no powers to even hear that prayer.
