Im not pulling for alhaitham on currently. I want Xiao more, especially for my own challenge account where im only using men. He'll definitely be a big upgrade and i can run dendro or geo traveler instead (especially since theyre my 2 favorite traveler elements to run) my challenge account is still early so i might have enough to get c0 of them both but i have 2 5 star weps on there already and one is one of Xiaos better ones (skyward spine) and the engulfing because it was 11 pity before the next banners were announced and its a lot more forgiving early game to pull on weapon banners.
i think characters like yunjin and tighnari are fine because they’re the only characters of their element you could use at the moment. i think it’s more important for content that you can actually complete stuff in the game (while still keeping some challenge). id say if one day hoyoverse releases another geo character with blue hair you don’t use yunjin anymore.
i don’t think raiden should count since each archon is very clearly based on the color of their element hence id say she counts as purple more than blue (not that it matters atm cause her banner is almost gone). id say if you don’t get ayato and end up pulling for a 5* in the next patch definitely do yelan over xiao not only is she more flexible and doesn’t require specific supports (as a xiao main xiao definitely benefits heavily from having zhongli and usually bennett) but she’s also more blue. i don’t know if you ever addressed this but i’m curious if you’d want to consider kokomi? her hair has blue tips so i’m wondering if people think that counts or not. also for character trails and the reaction domains i think it’s fine to use characters that aren’t blue because it doesn’t actually affect the rest of the game at all and especially the primos from character trails will add up to lot over time.

Looking on the in game models Mona, Xiao and Tighnari are definitely not blue. Yunjin's braids don't connect to her hat and are her hair And Raiden's hair is blue on top
Yun Jin is fiine and i say you should save for Yelan, but then Lantern Rite = free Xingqiu and Xingqiu = 4 star Yelan sooo idk just which one you prefer. I still personally prefer Yelan though
i was also stuck in the dilemma of ayato or yelan, i personally decided to get yelan instead, since I got lucky on my alt account and got ayato, and i (personally) prefer yelan more as for your issue with dendro in sumeru, there are tons of dendrogranum around the place, so all you need is a bow character to shoot stuff and you won't have to worry about dendro a lot of the time ^^
I hate inazuma so much 😭 I was able to get raiden and had no idea her boss was locked behind a quest. I literally spent like 20 trying to figure out which way to turn the things to reach the thunder Manifestation.
I'm really debating if I should pulling for Xiao or save up for zhongli like I was originally planning
Also I think you should be allowed to use non blue hair characters for trials since that's not technically gameplay.
please dont use yunjin the point of challenge accounts is that youre not able to do some certain things and its your job to get around it, and if using yunjin would be cheating and you still let yourself use it, that would be unacceptable. just wait for a blue-haired geo char or theres no other way around
take java's spells only for example hes hasnt had a cryo char since forever but he still managed
so please dont let yourself use yunjin or the challenge is ruined
I think ayato is probably the better of the two. He enables comps like vaporise and freeze with him on field main dps or you can do a hyper carry with yunjin. Yelan is nice and does off field dps but water boy does a very simialr thing. I just think maybe a main dps might be really nice.

what would you do with skins? ninguang and fischl's skins are blue, even tho their og outfits are yellow and purple
