Lord Barbatos is the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt, and one of the two remaining gods of the original Seven Archons. He has played a major role throughout Mondstadt’s history, yet is supposedly the weakest of the Archons. Venti plays dumb and plays everything off like he's just the cheery bard, but there's a whole lot he knows and that he's hiding..
Regarding his relationship with the Tsaritsa, I bet it has a link to the destruction of Khaen'riah. Wherein 6 of the archons were forced to comply through their gnosis, Venti likely saw more value in complying willingly, maybe even acting as an envoy of Celestia. The Tsaritsa probably saw him as a traitor.

Imagine having a bunch of angry witches come up to you, declaring war, but instead you just tell them to join your bard band and they say ok. How did Venti manage that? Was it a gradual thing or did he just suggest it and they sat down for a tea party?
Venti is the best archon
I also suspect Venti isn’t being truthful about his power level. Venti does whatever Venti needs to in order for Venti to not draw much attention to himself. He seems to want to exist under the radar and not set off too many alarm bells all while helping and supporting the people of Tevat
When the Hexen Witches challenged Venti to a fight and he proposed a musical challenge alternative he was showing them, without violence, just how powerful he is and who they’re challenging.
Venti knows every song ever made and every song that will be made.
They had NO chance. They recognized this and never again pursued overthrowing him.
I got 2 questions
1. Whose sword at Andrius domain
2. Only 2 original archons while other 5 got replaced, is this meant there a god before the Tsaritsa. I wonder who attended the gathering in Liyue, the old cryo archon or Tsaritsa.
What if Venti has abyssal corruption, he sleep too much for that? Just something that came to my mind, while watching the video.

Also, I always thought it was strange how such a prideful being such as Andrius was willingly sacrificing his divine body to let the tiny wisp becomes a God. Whether or not if he dislikes humanity and doesn't see himself to be a God, it just seem too "easy".
So much history yet so many questions, a tantalising existence this bard has. Wonder what will be in-store for us in his second story quest, whenever that is….
Also a little side story, i was a venti simp when i start playing and boy i was absolutely livid with rage when that whole scene with signora happened. I was praying to high heavens we would exact vengeance on her one day. When that day eventually came you better believe me when i say i put everything i got to beat her and man, when the shogun cremated her i was giggling like an idiot I couldn't have asked for a better revenge arc against her.
Of course all of this was before I pay attention to her tragic backstory, however although i understood her motivation now for doing what she did i still have zero regrets for enjoying her death as much as i did. Sorry not sorry signora simps ☺️

Thank you so much. Mondstat is my favorite region as I love Ventis love for his people and the idea freedom. The lore is hard for me to find in-game so it's great to see a vid like this. Ty❤
I got so excited seeing the notification for this video!
Venti is my favorite character in the whole game. He's such an interesting character and I'm super curious to see what his role will be in the later points of the game, since I'm convinced he's got a larger role still to play in the story

Venti is such an interesting character that not even the fandom appreciates at more than face value in my opinion. He lives amongst his people incognito (which is ironic, as that title goes to Morax which ALSO makes them quite similar despite their ideologies. It would make sense they are friends, no?) and watches over Mondstadt ensuring there are no dangers. You know, Venti's attempts to save Dvalin even before we meet him tells us that he was willing to solve the problems himself, but a story must begin.
He is literally everywhere. Remember the letter in The Chasm? That one still gets me. He's been on the sidelines, yet it's quite obvious there's so much more to the Anemo Archon that remains to be seen. In game, if you talk to any of the NPC's that mention him, you will find that they revere him, despite as we know (paraphrased) "Barbatos has not been seen in centuries and the only thing that shows him as the Archon is the Statues of the Seven in Mondstadt."
Venti remains a mystery and not even the game itself wants to unravel him. Hell, most of the time he's present is for comedy relief (Lantern Rite) and during Mondstadt-related events, he's not the main focus. In due time, I hope this changes and we get to learn more about him. He's the only Archon that doesn't have a second story quest and that is very deliberate. I speculate that something has to happen when we reach Fontaine in order for his second story quest to unlock, but that's just me.
Who knows how much power he's hiding, if at all? He may be powerful, but doesn't like to fight unless he really has to. One shouldn't take him saying he is the weakest as the truth, because there's so many things he's done which disprove that.
Anyway, great video as always. Looking forward to the future videos for Ei and Nahida.
I am very much looking forward to the day we get a Venti story quest 2.

Venti is such an intricate puzzle to decipher, he shares so much to us yet so little. Here are the things that im perplexed about him:
1) Celestial
– he says he knows nothing about this place and yet in his voice line he mentions (iirc)
“Celestia? Oh i don’t know about the plce …etc…… but the APPLE there TASTED bland and unsavoury “
– like how can he describe so well to a place he’s never been before? Why r u lying??
2) Archon’s Power
– Nahida said that the archon’s power relies heavily upon his/her worshippers. Meaning more ppl worship then the more powerful they’ll get.
– Venti out of nowhere told us he’s the weakest archon… without us asking him. Was he trying to lower our guards around him? Because! :
– To use a wind glider one must give prayer to the anemo archon so he can give them his blessing –
( in sumeru a researcher had tried to rebel against the anemo archon by creating her own wind glider, to her demise no matter how many prototypes she cannot fly the wind glider without the anemo archon blessing ) I randomly stumbled upon this info when talking to npc. And There’s even an old man in sumeru who’s always praying to barbatos because of his dead friend (?) i cant remember but he wanted his friend to be free like the wind.
– this makes me thinks, 😅 the majority of teyvat FLIES on the damn wind glider. EVERY NATION ACROSS.
– Weakest archon my arse, almost everyone pray blessings to the anemo archon, not to mention he have a damn church and a cult group outside of mondst ( they are a group in sumeru desert area iirc, they pray to barbatis because they like the idea of freedom )
3. His songs
– listen, venti knows the song of the Past, Present and FUTURE. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEANS?!!
– after scara quest, we know how important allegory is in the game, in order to restore the truth after being wiped in the irminsul.
– the only ppl who rmbers are only those who r not from teyvat (eg traveller, and maybe zhongli)
– and in one of mondst event ( Razor’s parent ) we saw how venti can even bring memories of the past to visial themselves using his wind 🤨 Like broo?? HOW STRONG ARE YOU. IS THIS THE THING THAT YOU MEANT BY WIND BRING MEMORIES??!

My theory is that he is either Istaroth child (since in Genshin, the creation refer their creator as parent) or he is similar to Lilopar and Nabu Malikata relationship (retainer)
