  1. I have to be honest. I’ve been bothered by things that tectone has said in the past but this video gives a lot of context and where he’s coming from. We have very similar backgrounds though I did not have as traumatic as a time, but I had to deal with constant verbal and physical assault, sexual assault, and being beaten every single day until I was 18. That and toxic friends made it very hard to integrate into polite and compassionate society, let alone for sympathy for other marginalized people or even people in general. Games were my escape and I eventually learned that.

  2. You shouldn't consider a twitter user opinion, everyone knows that place is pure uranium. Actually, i would dare say that place is one of worst places in the entire internet.

  3. I dont use twitter and most of people that I know that play geyshin are okay people good pals B)
So I think genshin comunity from my experience is quite nice. Wholesome!
I like to coop with people and help people open ares like dragonspine and usually I have fun playing genshin. I play genshin for about…hmm 8 months? Maybe little bit more but I dont know for sure and I been playing it daily! I enjoy it a lot 😀 I dont do daily commisions so yeah.
I see why you would think that and your experience is valid! I see why some people might feel like the change is going waay too fast or something like that and thats okay! At the end of the day we all just enjoy anime gilrs and guys in a fighting game with really nice music and graphics B)

Dragonspine and Enkonomya are my fave regions so far 😀 yesss have a nice day!
    (I cant speak english sorry)

  4. I stopped engaging in the genshin impact community, I just can’t take that shit anymore. I just mostly watch teccy, goose, and mtashd and play the game. The community ruins this game. But the teccy community is awesome.

  5. Bruh, Genshin Twitter isn't Genshin community. Also Twitter isn't real world or reflective of it (crazy idea i know).
Woke progressive cultist-like nutcases on Twitter live in their own bubble, alas they are so loud and so agressive that they actually convince people that their opinion is relevant, valid and worst of all held by majority of people which couldn't be further from the truth.
Luckily most people still have at least some shred of common sense, while idiots like majority of Genshin Impact Twitter community have none left.
Don't let them get to you, just be yourself.
I know you are a content creator but seriously, if it bothers you that much, delete Twitter and never look back.
I imagine it won't damage your "brand" much, but you'll have a peace of mind.

  6. Genshin as a game had it's impact on many people, including me. I remember downloading Genshin Impact as a way to cope with the hard times I was going through due to the loss of someone dear to me. As vivid as it is in my memory, Genshin Impact as a game and as a community has really changed a lot. Hopefully it will keep going for the better and bring people closer to each other instead of tearing them away from each other.

  7. Genshin community is kinda like smash community but those who are toxic are even worse than the ones in smash but I do think if ppl who keep quiet speak up more we can slowly change it and make it look more wholesome.

  8. I remember first starting this game a year ago and thinking…."wow, there's so much to do in this game" and now….i find myself logging in, spending my tiny amount of resin, being mad that i can't level up the characters i want to because its to expensive…then logging off. My opinion of the game has changed massively due to realising how greedy Mihoyo really are and how much of a scam this game is….and i think the rest of the community know this as well

  9. Tectone missed a few years worth of progressivism sipping into every single kind of media. It's a real miracle he hasn't seen it till now, considering things like gamergate happened. I hope ya won't get too absorbed by these things or I will be seeing ya do content like Hero Hei and the Quartering (which wouldn't be a bad thing but I'd lose a fun gaming channel…)

  11. i understand, we lived different lives and we have different point of views. but that doesnt mean that we cant see each others views, people just dont want to cuz its too "tedious." tbh i just watch your vids and just play with some friends so i dont know how the community is. but i do hope that they stop or atleast attack u less for no reason. your an awesome person dont forget that. and content differentiation is normal, i dont think its a boomer thing lol. its just that what the community finds fun is creative game play like your co op abyss

  12. Tectone, I am pretty much like you in terms of growing up as a gamer from an early childhood. My online gaming experience started all the back in 2006 until now. From Club Penguin, to World of Warcraft, to COD, to mobile gacha games, and eventually to Genshin now. After all these years of online gaming, I can completely agree that the gaming culture we started out with has completely changed and evolved in recent years. This is mainly due to society and younger generations changing in their own ways and the fact that gaming has become completely mainstream now, but I honestly feel like it's a change for the better. Yes, there will always be teens on the internet who will attack whoever and whatever is popular (before they were categorized as trolls and haters), but there are so many good things that also comes from this culture shift in gaming. I've met so many wonderful people and everyone has a much higher chance of being successful and making money as a gamer than ever before.

I'd say Teccy, I see your new generation of "haters" on social media and I feel like the best thing you should do is don't feed into it and let them live in your head rent-free. Keep creating content for your fans and let that be your passion to keep moving forward even during the hardest parts of your career as a streamer/youtuber.

  13. Ive played tons of games, mainly shooters, im pretty good at shooter games,after 10 years of playing mostly shooter games I got bored and got good aim on almost any aim;

I too played mmos and mobas but mostly shooters.

Then I started genshin, out of boredom because I was tired of the shitty shooters and tired of shooters overall, just because im good enought to stomp pubs but I not insanely tryhard to get into the trash competitive scene so i started to get tired of it, genshin let me experience a new type of gameplay were my time was rewarded for a while, were I could fight super tryhard and stomp or just chill and take 5 minutes in any fight and still be ok.

Then we hit the part were I have 0 content and 0 HARD content, so im here taking breaks every month till new content drops and instead of fighting without aim I started getting more into the lore, because the game isnt going to get hard or get replayability any time soon.

  14. You had a very rough life.

I mean, I live in a third world country and I didn't have it anywhere as rough as you did, so kudos for staying sane and positive enough.

As for Genshin….game's going in a good direction so far, slowly and stumbling sometimes, but not too many complaints.

The community tho….it seems to be getting weirdly toxic and I'm not sure if there's any hope fixing that.

  15. First time I started playing Genshin Impact, I never thought I’d get these strange feelings of nostalgia and memories of playing past games with some of my friends. It’s a very RNG + pretty neat lore/story that really caught my interest from them and till now.

As for the community, I don’t really look into that sort of stuff. Mainly playing by myself or just hanging out in Discord with some of my friends that play the game. The only time I ever check the community is when there’s updates on every update or checking on some tutorials to try and do some research in regards to game mechanics. I don’t pay attention to stuff like drama around the Genshin Community—unless it’s something that’s pretty unfair or bullshit; to which I’d spread awareness to some friends who would want to listen or not.

As for your videos, your videos are pretty amazing, you always have this radiance around you, and with the addition of chill vibes. It’s difficult to try new methods, or trying to look into what should be changed or removed from your content. But, in the end you should do what you think is fun, for yourself and perhaps a tiny bit for your community. As long as you’re having fun, and spreading that joy/entertainment to others; you’ll do just fine.

  16. 1:48 wat, your house burned down?
with no people to go? I dont even want to imagine.
i mean our house also burned down in 2019 but i mean – no body got hurt and we had each other as a family. i mean financial it got very rough but after some time we were able to get over it one after the other. (somehow at least)

but i dont want to imagine if you have neither a close family, close friends or a home. (have no persons or a place to go)

  17. Got alot of my friends who are new to genshin playing and it's fun teaching them how to play and seeing them enjoy the game 🙂 I mention about the gacha system and help them understand spend wisely but we do like exploring.

  18. I think in terms of development Genshin is doing ok. Like he said the quality of life changes over time have been good and despite the garchando system continuing to be… well a pain, the game could have been developed a lot worse than it has been. There’s not an amazing amount of care for it, evidence being the characters like amber, qiqi, aloy, and xinyan who’s kits are either broken in a bad way or borderline useless, as well as all the terrible clipping that still happens when you move wrong on a cliff or something (happens to me a lot)… but the game has been handled with enough care to still be enjoyable so we can’t always just shit in mihoyo and call it a day.

Now the community… is what’s a little overly fucked up, mainly due to the minority of loud cancel culture people in there who make the whole community, and by extension the game itself and it’s content creators, look bad. Idk if there’s any budget for this but I feel like mihoyo should do something about it because the streamers alone are not enough. At the end of the day they are just a handful of individuals who have no real authority in the overall community. Their view base could give them some kind of leverage but as things are now I can’t think of any solution other than mihoyo getting a community team together to go case by case on all the major issues in the community.

If your opinion is different or you think you have an idea that might benefit the community feel free to reply it:)

  19. there’s a certain community of always online twitter leftists that got attracted by the genshin community they are more performative than anything sometimes even siding with nazis as long as they keep up a leftist aesthetic
the problem is that we probably will never really get rid of these people others have tried and failed over and over again we can only hope that twitter will change the way they generate engagement on their platform (witch they won’t)

also if you genuinely believe tectone is in some way categorically bad even if that where true your harassment won’t change shit remember criticize systems not people
