I am not surprised about the rerun X3. We have new players, they need to have chances to get the characters they want too. Plus it gives us a chance to get some constellations OvO. It is a good thing.
I am skipping both. I want to get Albedo and it almost been a year since we got a chance to have him.
hay man .can u do me a favor. remember the video u made on wishing in the weapon banner ,can u make a shorter one for charecters .i know it was included in the weapon wishing gueide but it would be a lot helpfull if we could get a quick,shorter and charecter only video for futere banners.i used your guide after getting the shoguun and used songle pulls to try and get kokomi and your guide helped ,i got a jean c1 butr im happy bec now i can fully commite on a charecter i rerally want in the future like childe
if they really want more Money put Ganyu, Xiao and Hutao banner. Guess Mihoyo really likes to gamble after all! Making Kokomi the anniversary banner is a BIG miss for them!
The reason is obvious lol. Childe will be part of the main story again and he is finally getting his signature bow, Polar Star. There is no reason for a ganyu rerun here.
Also we are getting a spooky island and halloween at the end of the month, perfect for Hu Tao's character.
Tbh I think mihoyo is circling back. I think they are now targeting new players instead of late game players because now it will the period of reruns instead of inazuma characters and those that are released were not as powercreeped as ganyu or hutao.Over the next few months the power lvl of characters will gradually rise up to the point that it will match hutao/ganyu or overpower them.(till then the newcomers would have completed all stuff and might roll for inazuma powercreeped characters)
The Genshin branch of mihoyo are greedy money grabbers. I’ve been waiting for Albedo for the longest time and to wait for another 2-3 months!?!?!, not cool genshin not cool.

I.m.o., this is the most stupid choice by mihoyo. Childe is the least favorite character by everyone I know but, Mihoyo messed again. They let Shogun banner before anniversary and let all the players down with their sequel of bad choices. Why ? Do they know anything about planning and/or listening to the players community ?

I agree it could be an experiment. Was leaning on the possibility they were testing if fatui future characters would do well in future banners. They could also make a forshadowing for future harbinger content so it would all make sense lol
Much better if they put him on Standard Banner instead of another rerun, I agree Ganyu or Xiao is much better for a rerun.

Childe is in the story and there are new players that didn't get him yet that might be interested. I think it makes sense to tie the banner to the storyline to let newer players a chance to get old units when they are featured in the story they might be annoyed if they can't get them. There are always more hype on a character when people get to know them… They even mentioned that the title of the patch is based on the event story as well…

As a F2P player I would rather have more reruns over the amount of new character banners we get. I don't have Tartaglia or Hu Tao and I wished on both Tartaglia banners before..

childe rerun did not so bad because it was together with release of Rosaria. ( i'm remembering some videos where Whales that already had childe c6, still spent 500+ wishes just to get rosaria c6) but there is nothing like this right now.. so for sure it will be even worst than keqing banner. and its very clear for me that it is intended just to be a filler banner (to have some rest before more important/interesting banners) with no intentions to make money from it,otherwise they would release Thoma on Childe banner. since hu tao is clearly prepared for halloween, imagine if mihoyo would make a Venti rerun instead of childe, and this just after people spent all their money on raiden… people would be very mad of such decision.
since i'm relatively new to the game, i actually want more to summon for childe than for hu tao… since hu tao requires more investing in for her to be actually better(c1+homa + needs xingqiu) , on the other hand childe C0 actually can replace my xingqiu in national team in order to be able to use him to improve my second team ( a taser/freeze team maybe with Raiden) and i already have skyward harp waiting for, to be used by somebody. so childe for me is actually the best and cheaper opportunity to improve my teams right now.
the only problem is that there is no really good 4* in queue to be in the same banner with childe… all very good 4* already appeared recently. the only good 4* star can be just Bennett, but once you already have him at C2, there is no serious motivation to raise his constellations, and childe is not actually good enough to sommon a lot just for him… so i'm 20 summons away from 5050..(with no prepared primos) if i will loose than thats it… i will better save for other possibilities to improve my second team, (when there will be also some very good 4* on the banner).

Childe is really popular in the JP community from what I hear. I feel they also chose him because we haven’t had a male 5 Star banner since Kazuha 4 whole banners ago, and Childe’s banner was far more successful than Albedo’s, plus the event story having Childe make another appearance brings him back into relevancy.
Also Hu Tao and Childe together sounds nice on paper, but they don’t really have very good synergy in practice. You can only vaporize just 1-2 hits when you switch. Not really worth it as opposed to running Hu Tao + Xingqiu or Childe + Xiangling which is far more consistent and offers WAY more damage. An argument could be made for running all 4 together, but you’d likely run into energy issues and that’s another topic in of itself.
This a free month. I dont have either and don't want either. I will wait for Ganyu rerun. Also rumored Ayaka brother is Hydro.
I think mihoyo is putting up child cause kokomi failed.

Is earning amount just from banners or it also includes weapon banners? It may seem like it but Childe was 3rd 5* to be released (with Beidou and Ning) and many people who got in Genshin bandwagon were spending more before they realised it's unending pit and quit game for another. The amount of whales must have considerably decreased but amount of BP/Welkin has increased due to increased playerbase. Childe probably has arc which is why he is coming back. HuTao isn't story related which is why she fills up a spot. Ganyu and Xiao might have something to do with some future story with Adepti, which is why I think they are delayed.
I don't give a flying f if Childe won't work with my team (but he can actually work lol) cause I just like him and want him¯_(ツ)_/¯ so if anyone is conflicted about which character to pull just follow ur heart and make sure u won't regret it! I know for a fact I'll definitely gonna regret getting Hu tao and skip Childe

I'm pretty sure hes coming back because of the release of his own 5 star weapon.
Either way, I think many people in the community try to predict too much mihoyo's Marketing perspective when to me at least, it seems they just do stuff how they feel like it, without caring for how much money it does. Look at the 4 stars they sometimes pair with 5 stars. Yoimiya's banner for example, could have had ningguang to compensate for the fact that she was seen as "bad 5 star" instead they put ningguang on a much awaited 5 star, that being ayaka for seemingly no reason. Then they put Xinyan and Diona with Yoimiya. Kokomi's banner could have had Sara as well, to boost sales, but they decided to put it with raiden because of her loyalty to the shogun, which indicates they are more inclined to make banners somewhat related to the lore contents in the version, rather than purely boosting sales.
All of this indicates the opposite of what most would expect if they were purely thinking of marketing and money making. This isnt to say money isnt an interest but i feel like they make characters how they want as their main objective (characters they feel are fun and different, see Kokomi's lack of Crit for example). And same with reruns. Rather than thinking of the potential money, they make reruns based on holidays and story related content, weapons and what not.
I've got 3080 primos and will have 10 more wishes thanks for daily rewards ;-; idk what to do I really want Childe but idk if I'll get him, but I still wanna give it a shot though..
We just had Childe a few months back, so a rerun is very surprising. He is the popular charismatic pretty boy in the series, so I'm sure people like him but I was very much looking forward to reruns that haven't happened in a long time like Ganyu and Xiao. Getting neither of them anytime soon is a bummer but then again, we're probably up for many reruns over the next 8 months or so until the fire nation or another one comes out for release in the story. The game has a ten year plan, so I'm not worried whatsoever but I think we're entering the primogem save time over the next couple of months while people selectively pull on what they're looking for.
May be opportune times to pull on weapon banners as well. If they rerun Homa, Gravestone, the Earth spear and some others I never got, I might not need the character banner but rather have a chance to pull on some needed weapons! Overall, I'm just patiently waiting for what I need to pull to the moon on it lol.
