I hope genshin has a rival, because we need to be heard by developers. If the developer ignores us, we can still migrate to a similar game, this is a big blow for the developer.
so many people wanting this to be a good competitor to make hoyoverse improve their game, however this game has been out in CN for a while and did poorly. Genshin doesn't even care if they exist and I don't think a global release will help ToF. Sure they will get a fresh player base but my guess is they want to cash grab fast and make money before shutting down the servers.
It looks cool but still not my cup of tea. I saw many people say that it looks more like Honkai than Genshin, and I agree. One of the reasons I got turned off from Honkai is its setting, where it's very futuristic but also has magic. I much prefer the medieval fantasy with magic that Genshin has. Tower of Fantasy follows Honkai in that direction and I'm not a fan of it. Plus I feel like the game lacks soul. It pulls things from many other gacha games and doesn't add many original ideas.
The only real genshin killer other than Genshin 2 will be when a big Western dev house decides its time to make an open world co-op RPG with gatcha elements. Like Id be down for a cell shaded Tales of Azeroth or The Witcher co-op with a full story campaign but the ability to earn heroes from different witcher schools and from the schools of magic.
Hopefully this will be good enough to be entertaining though.
I wonder the graphics are very hard on cpu. I think I have minimum requirements with Geforce GTX 1060 3G. The game doesn't seem to be that much hard on my cpu.
This game is so awesome. What I dislike about Genshin is the character switching, which literally changes the look of the character itself… But this game, is focused on weapons, which means we get to keep what look our characters have (that we customized ourselves), which is so cool
I got bored of genshin, i just do my dalies and resins. This is more of my style since i can customize my own character and feel like it's me and be immersed on the game
This looks really cool ngl and I like the fact that they have a completely different charm than genshin which is nice
The combat looks a lot more action based like character action game such as DMC or Bayonetta and there are a lot of fancy move and attack while Genshin is focused more in character synergy and reaction (combo/combination)
Also Genshin is a lot more polished, it is a game where you will get immersed in the world, characters, and story while this game looks like it is focused a lot more in the gameplay aspect and combat where you don't give much fuck about anything else.
I wish there is an option to bind the skin into the weapon so when you change weapon you also change skin making it similar to Genshin or just Gacha game with multiple character but the character are not locked into specific weapon, that would be cool.
Other than that this looks great, I'm willing to try tho I doubt I will play for long and I hope we get more competition for Genshin cuz outside of Event there is just nothing to do in the game
Is there an engaging storyline? I mean combat and character collecting is cool and all, but if it weren't for the story line and just the immense amount of lore Hoyoverse puts into their games, Iwouldnt have even kept playing Genshin.
I think that graphics in genshin are better and Tower looks a little complex and cuz Impact is more "simple" keeps people in that. This looks a lot like a Oriental game, so it's not a Genshin killer but hope makes a good fight so we can get more content in both games
definitely looks like it needs a lot of polish. i prob wont have time to get into another gacha besides genshin but i hope it does well. hoyoverse needs some competition already
In terms of how f2p TOF is , you can buy constellation pretty easily as long you unlocked the weapon. No bulls*** like what Genshin have to offer. Expect more whale in this game since they have PVP as well. Whaling in Genshin for what? Clearing abyss 12-9 star and thats all? KEKW no endgame contents.
i dont know. i feel like people are inhaling massive copium with this game…..people are so desperate for a genshin competitor at this point, that theyll accept anything….
Graphics aren’t as Good as Genshin, but the combat system looks much much better and it looks to be a lot more immersive with co-op and guilds and leaderboards and pvp hopefully they add a decent endgame and makes it grindy Im looking forward to playing this game like I played Genshin during the early AR days

Bro the switch skill is called qte some ppl know that from honkai impact but it's been in other games too
So it has the post apocalyptic open world like nier, intricate combos of dmc and an easier version of the matrix dodge pgr.

It looks just like every tencent game ever has hype and then it turns into lineage 2 or neteased games or dragon raja

Tower of fantasy = Honkai (30%) + Genshin (40%) + Arknight (20%) + PUBG (10%)
Graphics aren’t as Good as Genshin, but the combat system looks much much better and it looks to be a lot more immersive with co-op and guilds and leaderboards and pvp hopefully they add a decent endgame and makes it grindy Im looking forward to playing this game like I played Genshin during the early AR days
