Is Genshin Impact RUINING Your Life!?

I understand some people may be shy, or identify as Otaku… but hiding away and using Anime characters as “idols” to simulate love and companionship seems like a terrible life long decision.
Genshin Impact players need to be careful how attached they get before they ruin their lives

  1. I got to say that every nation has its own way of life- for example I live in Eastern Europe where even playing these types of games, or watching anime is frowned upon and you will be deemed as a moron or incompetent person who will probably never have bf/gf in your life. Also, tbh, despite that I play Genshin because a lot of games I looked up to failed me so hard to the point that I would rather play gatcha game and enjoy its story than feckin PS5 exclusives..My excuse for time i put into Genshin is amazing story and lore (also I am uni student who works in a marketing department so..yeah i am not a shut in even tho I wish i could stay at home all day and just enjoy genshin ngl)

  2. I think you blew up because your American and maybe alot if American were excited for genshin but they realized it was getting boring. Genshin could be the best game in the world if they actually were smart and didn't give into that weird Otaku thing

  3. You are prob over thinking / reading into this, also cos you yourself can’t relate much to asian geeks / nerds culturally.

This is normal for asians, as most asian guys are nerds & geeks.

Also the chinese ‘otaku’s; which is where this company is from, is a bit different from the really shut in japanese otakus.

TLDR, mtashed’s over reaction from cultural differences.

  4. Lowkey wanted to explain to my friends that I play genshin for the combat and being able to have something to put my time into, well wanted, after this tho I better keep my opinion to myself. Even the games CEO not tryna have me justify my actions. And its his game!

  5. You might be able to play other games that are awesome and great but that's not an issue, with new game streaming you need an audience or community that are interested
Why do you think Genshin impact grown well
Becoz they made the whole community, they consider and control this community for the game

You can't make a community in one day or two
    It takes months
People don't care about the game, if the developers don't fulfill their opinions and desire
Genshin knows how to handle everything
Even if they loose one game they have another in line to throw at you

  6. even if I do agree that u should not use video games to replace real relationships, u are taking it too far.
there is nothing embarrassing in playing gatcha/ otome games if that is what makes you happy. and u should be the last person trying to shame genshin players considering the fact that this game literally gave u a career and money. if u don’t enjoy this game anymore then do as all a favor and quit, nobody enjoys the constant bitching u do over here. it’s pathetic.

  7. …i donte ven know what to say
    makes me feel sick lmao
like i get it now why most of the community is the way it is now
the defending of "their" characters and being super defensive over a 3d model and like just being super happy go lucky casual about the game and story
    like i get it now

  8. i think its hard for people with social lives to understand how hard it is for those of us that dont and are socially awkward/anxiety, to start going out and socialize – I wouldnt even know where to go or what to do

  9. to those somebody who dont wanna google, these are the classification of those who are a disgrace on Japanese society.

Otakus are those people who are very knowledgable and OBSESS on a very particular subject. there are a different types of otakus: Military, guns, tanks, swords, anime, figurines, and so on. most Otakus have jobs ino rder to sustain their hobbies/obsessions. most Otakus hide the fact that they are otakus because of the society.

then, there's a group called "shut-ins", or "hikikomori". those are people who shut their doors from the outside world. those people dont want to interact on any other people except for their parents/relative, or sometimes not at all.

then there's NEET, Not on Employment, Education or Training. those are the ones who dont have jobs at all. but they can still socialize outside the world.

then there's WEABOOs. just a bandwagons who are a wanna-be-a-boo otakus. mostly, they are not a japanese. they only knew animes, and still less knowledgable about it. they are just obsess on japanese anime culture.

  10. I really don’t like Genshin impact. It’s so dumb it’s for literally children on twitter to have something to bound over. If this is gaming I don’t want it. Gacha is really killing brain cells.
