Though she seems strong as a dps, she has quite a few flaws currently, especially for her subdps/support playstyle, which I hope they fix. elo, just here to add a few things. (as of v1/2- will update if needed)
– First and foremost, as an on field dps, she NEEDS to use her skill first in the rotation. though i mentioned 1 reason why u shouldnt use codex, i just realized the 2nd which is even bigger. Her skill has a 15 second cool down and her on field dps after burst is 7 seconds. so yah, if u want to get her 80 stacks of FS for her next rotation, u gotta skill first.
– I want to talk about her rotation without a natlan teamate a bit further cuz after a comment + more thinking i release it's not the worst for her support
1. going the support playstyle, assuming u got mavuika e, 2 supports stuff, mav burst, into dps. (when it is dps' dps time, IF they do basic attacks, they "in theory would generate FS for mav's next burst". as such, ur rotation actually wouldnt die IF they use basic attacks. if you however play like ganyu who doesnt use basics, it's a bit cooked.
2. now for the dps playstyle. remember, we are still missing 20 FS. in scenario a. IF mavuika can gain FS stacks for the next burst while on field, it actually lets her use basic attacks to lessen the requirement of 14 ba in a team with no natlan support. BUT you are now using BA instead of CA which i believe is a sizeable dmg loss according to stuff ive read. in scenario b. if she cant gain FS during her burst for her next one, yah still cooked ;-;
3. Her nightsoul off field should take 12 seconds to consume. Because many rotations dont take that long, this means for a support playstyle, you likely will not be able to burst in time without a natlan teamate as she likely will have only drained half her NSP which is an issue. as for main dps, this likely will also be an issue as she wouldnt have her full stacks. As of this moment, i do not know if using her burst will consume all her current NSP, which it currently does not explictly state. If it doesnt, that's also a big issue. if it does, then nice
4. something else that is important which i didnt mention but some comments have pointed out. She gains 10 nightsoul when doing her burst. We currently do not know for certain how this plays into her kit, whether it is used for the next burst aka she gets 90 NSP (which greatly eases non natlan rotations), or some other reason.
– lastly, she starts with 200 FS on the first floor of the spiral abyss. just something to note 🙂
the thing is her dps animations are absolute trash
I was really hoping to replace Xiangling and Bennet for a 5* version, kinda disappointed on her being a main dps, specially after Arlechino was released a few patches ago and now she seems to power creep her 😢

XL is absolutley a 'main dps' cause in most of her teams, she's the one doing most, if not all the dmg. the only distinction is that she's the only off field 'main dps', while the rest of the pyro dps's are on field

Firstly, for ayato, childe and neuvillette they rarely vape anyway and are usually reverse vape drivers when used with xiangling and can occasionally get a foward vape, ayaka doesn't have bennett in her best team and doesn't want xiangling. Secondly there is no reason to use xianglings burst over mavuikas e, she needs A LOT of energy if you don't use bennett (who is getting phased out by hp scaling characters, xilonen and furina), which automatically makes mavuikas do more damage, sure it doesn't last as long but it'll do more than xianglings burst without bennett considering that you can't build her as a good sub dps without him (unless you spend 20 years in the emblem domain ig). As for her burst yes it is kinda just alright at best, but I still think she replaces xiangling easily.

She looks really cool n badass but I have zero room for another pyro dps, Giving my actual pyro dps new melt teams with Citlali seems way more interesting so I guess I will get Mavuika for the collection when she reruns around banners I dont care about.
I want the Pyro Archon as a DPS and very happy shes gonna be a powerful one. Im a person who collecting all Natlan characters and this is my favorite nation. I understand people want a support but I hope its a different character other than the Archon.
I'm just genuinely surprised that we only have one Flat ATK buffer which is Bennett(and a healer as a bonus). We have so many DMG buffers such as Kazuha, Furina and now Natlan characters with Nightsoul can just use Cinder Scroll to get the effect. Mavuika being another Pyro DPS and a DMG buffer(with her passive using the Burst and access to Cinder Scroll) with Bennett as the only main staple for ATK scaling buff and another partner for him is ridiculous.

6:05 I personally use Dehya with my Mualani, as Dehya’s skill is just barely fast enough for Mualani to not miss any vapes. This removes the need to have a battery for anyone in the team, as my flex slot is Mona (who has basically 0 Hydro application) and Mona doesn’t always need to burst on every rotation.

Looking at the previous archons (Furina/Mavuika), I think it’s safe to assume that the Cryo Arhon will have an unique mechanic complementary to Snezshnaya’s unique mechanic.
Furina works well with most Fontaine characters bcs. of the HP change & Pneuma n Ousia but also allows the battle mechanic to work with older characters (HP drain kit)
Mavuika’s kit works well with Natlan and older characters (Nightsoul point and Battle Points)
Cryo Archon and Snezshnaya characters will have an unique ability (maybe smth like a Follow-up attack or QTE ) and the Tsaristsa will allow that mechanic to work on older characters

This archon is little sus or I should say different from other archons. Her boss ascension materials doesn't give Pyro crystals. Like other archons who have more time in e skill than their CD. Hers e skill time is very low compared to other archons.
Natlan is such a flop region… Honestly I didn't expect that everything in this region would be so disappointing. Character designs that don't match with the environment. Generally uglier designs (yes Chasca is the ugliest 5* we ever had).No interesting plot – everything is just straightforward, there is war with the abyss and that's it. No mysteries, no questions to ask, yeah we got confirmation about the fake sky but that's it. Compare it with Fontaine how people were constantly speculating about the archon quest, about how Fontainians are Ocheanids, about who was the mysterious killer who turned people into water, about the primordial water, about Furina's identity, About Neuvilet's identity, about the prophecy, It was all so immersive and entertaining. Not to mention how Furina brought into meta some of our forgotten units and changed the meta overall. What about Mauvika? questionable design, nothing of her speaks to me as archon of war and her kit is just Raiden pyro edition with more focus in dps. She doesn't change the meta in any way, she just steals the spotlight form our other already good pyro dps units Arle, Hutao, Lyney (I'm higly suspicious that Hutao or Arle mains will drop their beloved pyro dps for a goofy bike archon). Why would I pull for another pyro dps if I can pull for c1 Arle or her signature? Same thing with Citlali, instead of buffing cryo, she buffs already meta elements like pyro and hydro as if Neuvi and Arle weren't already dominating the meta. Why do they intentionally dump cryo down? Why couldn't they make so both Mauvika and Citlali are good sub dps/support for cryo units? How much longer will people be forced to play circle impact or tolerate Xianlings awful energy requirements? it's been 4* years and we still don't have any 5* pyro sub dps. Heck even 4* pyro sub dps are rare, it's only Xianling that is purely focused on damage
every time an archon comes out its always the same wave of hate… and they always end up as a top tier 😂 copers will cope, always.

I'm a relatively new player & don't have a main pyro DPS yet and I'll still pull for Arlecchino. Idc if Mavuika is better there's something called player preference and that bike gameplay looks absolutely goofy af. I don't want to be seen or see anyone doing that on my screen. Also there's the problem of her bike exploration lasting way shorter than other characters like Chasca, Kinich, Mualani, Xilonen. Like it's too short for exploration and it's gonna be even worse outside Natlan. I don't want a character like that. She's trying to be a lot of things all at once and not being good at either. So I would rather take a stable character like Neuvilette and Arlecchino for DPS, Furina and Kazuha etc for Support, Zhongli for Shield, Chasca Wanderer for exploration, Bennett Jean for healing and so on. Don't need a jack of all and master of none.
i have kachina. no mualani, no kinich, no xilonen, no chasca, skipping citlali, skipped ororon. She is completely and utterly useless to me. run her with raiden or yelan? eh no thank you

I honestly fail to see the issue here. I wanted her most of all to be an alternative to XL+Bennet, and that's exactly what she is. She deals decent damage off-field while providing useful pyro application and she also buffs the party, even more so on the scroll set. I never wanted or expected her to match or even power creep the two of them on a single team slot. That'd be crazy considering how busted they are individually, and especially as a duo. If anything she looks to be a pretty decent pyro Furina who doesn't need a healer, but maybe want's another Natlan character instead. And she has an alternative playstyle that might actually end up seeing play, unlike Furina's healing mode.
As a Ganyu lover the thing I wanted the most out of her was for her to have insane levels of pyro application so it is extremely easy to melt everything. What Ganyu needed the most out of a pyro applier is a pyro applier that has enough off field pyro that she can burst without having the pyro gauge removed.
Honestly if they buff her support capabilities and off field dps more then i'm sure people will be happy. Like change how her A1 instead of buffing her 35% atk they can change into buffing the entire team. Just this alone will buff both her dmg and her entire team dmg making her support capability much higher. 2nd they can just make her A2 buff like usual but not restricted to how much fighting spirit she need to consume. The rest is like what u said her skill interval into probably 1.5 per second, and make her ulti can abuse codex. With this instead of being on field dps. She will be off field, support and on field dps. Basically master of all classes.
I love mavuika and i don't give a fakk for those who hate her. Definitely pulling c2 mavuika❤
Im surprised that Mavuika doesn't generate night soul for the team. Imagine if she could allow enable non Natlan characters to effectively use OC and Cinder like Furina does with Marechausse. For Natlan characters she'd give them a bit more Nightsoul for combat but could help battery exploration abilities outside of Natlan. Heres hoping the next revisions make her more universal.
To me it really sucks she depends on Nightsoul and Natlan characters. I started in 1.0 and took a break through the entirety of 4.0 up until 5.2 now. Was hoping she’s have a bigger gain on application and support, but rip. I guess I’ll go for Citlali instead.
Im very happy that she is dps my account lack's dps 210 pulls for nuve , mav, and clorinde , i was considering arle before knowing mav is dps now i skipping her with no regrets
Her kit looks goofy as shit, when she swings her sword it looks like it doesnt have force behind it specially when she is riding her bike
Her only good selling point is her bike🙃 any other than that is ok, not anything out of ordinary, little bit underwhelming after all the hype tho. Also, her playstyle kinda weird considering there's no bike before.
