well my latest batch of archons of genshin impact videos are done, we did venti, ei, nahida and focalors all back to back I think. didnt get around to zhongli though lol. did this samsara cycle theory cause someone asked for it, and im nothing if not a man of the people. except I chose to focus a bit more on how the descenders tie into the whole thing.

  1. Considering genshit is apart of the imaginary tree from honkai impact 3rd that would actually instantly confirm its in a cycle due to the herrscher of the end

The herrscher of the end is in all hoyoverse games and tests civilizations, if they fail they have to repeat a 50 thousand year cycle again then the herrscher of the end comes back

Its already confirmed genshin is in the imaginary tree due to the fact we literally see davalin in honkai impact as otto was searching through worlds

  2. The 4 Descenders are as follows: 1st The Primordial One, 2nd Asmoday “The Sustainer”, 3rd Dainsleif (currently a husk waiting to be revived to his full original power and form) 4th The Twins. As for the Sibling’s presence in Irminsul, we already have a model to work off of; the Akasha System was modeled after Irminsul meaning that one can use a Divine Knowledge Capsule to enter information into Irminsul the same way that one can enter information into The Akasha System, which is exactly what the Sibling did, as for why; to throw off the Sinner so it cannot read their mind, because that would compromise what the Sibling is actually doing in the Abyss, which is think is to investigate and distract the Abyss while the latter 3 Descenders do what actually needs to be done: Capture the Primordial One and retrieve the Genesis Pearl, and then destroy the Sinner and the Saints of the Abyss all to set the stage for the return of the true creator(s) of Humanity.

  4. __I think the Abyss Sibling is a Descender.
Maybe someone I don't know who Login into Irminsul, change something and when Nahida Login after 500 years she finds that Lumine is from Teyvat.

The only thing I do not understand yet in Genshin is= The realm of consciousness.

  5. My view on the root race stuff is that canonically, it's bullshit. We are told that René tries to convince people to his cause and he gets no buyers because – I don't know maybe he's bad at explaining stuff. So he decides to get funding and support he needs to play the role of a cultist leader and put on a great big show of being esoteric and stuff. He makes up a lot of crap based on old Remurian esoteric crap. And it works. He gets followers and funding. His pretense to be a messiah saving the world when in reality he is actually trying to save the world, mirrors Furina's pretense at being the Hydro Archon when in reality she is the Hydro Archon. They both act the role of themselves but in a super hammed up, over the top way to satisfy the crowds.

So the root race stuff is part of that act. While in the tower we see a lot of messages about so and so has reached tier X of the cult because of service Y. Repeatedly we're told in these short messages something like "they don't really understand the scripture but they bring in money" or similar. It's a fake cult for money. But the irony is René and Jakob really are trying to save the world scientifically.

The root race stuff and the fake samsaras which don't make sense or relate to anything else are fake cultist lore. The real science stuff, the useful stuff that relates to concepts we know from existing lore is the stuff about "will" and absorbing people and how it relates to Descenders, Visions, neohumans, Oceanids and the nature of prophecy in Teyvat.

Samsara is an important concept in the game but not because of the root race crap which isn't a samsara in the way it's used elsewhere. Elsewhere in lore the samsaras are loops the begin from the same point and continue through a similar set of history / events. Like the Sabzeruz festival for example which I believe was the first use of the word in game though we've had references to cycles from v1.0 The root race stuff is (if I understand the theory from Theosophy and how people have applied it in game in their theories) made of sequential history and each "loop" comes one after the other. There's no memory wipe between these loops either. They just aren't samsaras. They're more like eras. In what sense does anything loop here? I guess the eras have common elements in the understanding of the theory such as that human evolution of the soul or bullshit bullshit is going on in each era. All the eras begin, go on for a while and then end. That's not really anything in common though. In no sense does time or history repeat itself. They're just not samsaras. Even the game text calls them "era" sometimes.

Plus the concept is just nonsense isn't it? How can a single human spirit be continuously refined across thousands of years unless the human spirit exists that long? But humans don't live that long. And you could wave your hands and say incarnation but all the humans of Fontaine got wiped out and replaced by Oceanids. it also contradicts what René says in his notes about the ancients use of the world formula predicting endless cycles but that has changed and his calculations predict we're in the last cycle / an end to the cycles. Aren't their 7 root races in Theosophy? A number Genshin likes a whole lot of course. sucks about the last three then. And there were more than 3 prior cycles. it just doesn't add up. Neither does trying to associate them with Descenders (which René didn't even do by the way – and couldn't have done since the whole point is he doesn't realize there's a 4th descender so he couldn't possibly have believed each root race era begins with a new descender or he'd say we are still in the 3rd era). The connection to the tiara sets also fails because the whole point of them is they are cyclic in a true samsara sense because the last tiara joins up to the first and round and round you go. That's not true of root races.

Btw we have real chimeras in game text so you don't have to say Rifthounds are chimeras. If your theory needs chimeras we already had them. For real chimeras. But only during the cataclysm (same for Rifthounds of course) which is too late in the day for your theory because it's only 500 years ago. Well as you say in the video all this stuff doesn't quite fit. And that's because it's random nonsense made up to sell a cult.

I don't really buy any of the Celestia wipes out nations stuff. We know Khaeri'ah was wiped out by the abyss now.

In summary I don't think the root race stuff relates to actual samsaras at all and I guess you agree because actual samsaras barely got a mention. You quoted Rukkhadevata but going back to that quote it makes no sense, right? In connection with root races it would suggest that Rukkhadevata is representing one root race somehow, but that can't be true as she's too old so she'd overlap at least two of them. Well 3 of them since were half way through the 4th supposedly. So is Nahida the 4th root race or the 5th? Well we'll never get to have a 5th so I guess she'd have to be saying Nahida is the 4th? So she's the 3rd? So why is the hand-over half way through the 4th root race era? None of it relates.

  6. It makes sense. The Primordial One had a sacred plan for humanity, so wouldn't it make sense that he or she created a type of loop for one to get stronger and stronger.

Which if you relate them to the playable characters every constellation could be representative of everytime a characters dies Which lights another star in their constellations….in sense my making the individual more potent than in a previous life

You're missing the part from Neuvilette Character story where the primordial one and the second who came created the gnosises together since the PO was badly injured and functions ruined… I still believe that the 4 shades were the second who came and they were imprisoned and bound to teyvat by the PO

  7. Genshin and Star Rail are linked -> Star Rail is Teyvat's "past". It's "Intertwined Fates" (Tears of Themis is also linked but less relevant)
"For a Tomorrow Without Tears" (Genshin) -> "Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow" (Star Rail)
    (F)ischl + (O)z = Finality + Origin
    (P)rinzessin der (V)erurteilung = Present Version
(P)ale (P)rincess + (Six) (P)ygmies = Past, Present, Six Cycle(?), Pygmalion (Herrscher of the End?)
The "Ring of Nibelung" is essentially this six cycle loop/"Fortuna"
From Vera's Melancholoy -> "Only the future can save the past"
(G)enshin (I)mpact = Genius Invokation, Genesis Inversion, Gravity Something?, etc
But also if you add G + I to "Star Rail": (I)star (G)rail (Istaroth? Idk where the "oth" goes though)
HYV were inspired by visual novel "TRianThology":
"When three worlds become one, Alice will awaken." (Even the genres of the three worlds match the 3 HYV games)
    But also Umineko:
"Clad in a little whirlwind, the new Game Master appears before Battler. A piece sent by Featherine Augustus Aurora, she proudly describes herself as an "assassin". With a vulgar laugh, she announces the start of a new game…"
"After some debate, Battler and Ange determine Piece's true identity: Asumu Ushiromiya"
"Piece resolves to cure everyone's sadness by erasing herself from existence, thus making everyone forget about her."
"The name Asumu means "tomorrow" (明日) (asu) and "dream, vision" (夢) (mu)."
From the Pyro Gem text the person who represents "truth" has been semi-erased from Teyvat's history. But if they also represent "tomorrow" then technically "tomorrow" will never truly come.
Something interesting from Klee's alt outfit desc:
"Those who are unhappy surely have their reasons for being sad. Would a smile forced upon their lips through magic be even more painful and ugly than tears?"
Teyvat seems to be a schrodingers box type thing in order to keep certain people between life-death (the "usurper"?). But also maybe a prison? The "usurper" seems to be a "wizard of oz" type character
At least from Venti + Nahida voicelines and Furina character stories it's going to have a happy ending so that's good ig

  8. the traveler's twin isn't a descender, because he/she "was" a descender. the twin died during the last samsara cycle. he got reborn inside it, making it so he ain't a descender anymore, since descenders are those coming from outside the world of teyvat. the traveler may think they slept for 500 years, but that's physicaly impossible as they would have starved to death in their sleep. the traveler can't have been in a coma for 500 years neather for the same reason.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ_DAoV-NWU

now, what was above is what i know, but what i'm about to write is my own theory. the twin seems to have memories which differs from the traveler's reality. the twin is sure they were both born in kaenriah, which can't be true as it would mean the traveler, by definition couldn't be a descender. the twin was a descender, but isn't anymore. there are curently 4 descenders. this mean 4 are alive and never died. the traveler, of course, is one of them. the primordial one is another, just like the sinner. who might the 4th be?

some might say it's nibelung, as when he came back with abyss knowledge, he wasn't the same being, but until proved otherwise nibelung is dead. even if he would get reborn like neuvillete got to be, just like the twin, he wouldn't be considered as a descender. not anymore.

skirk's master, then? she was alive in kaenriah. for as far as we know she have yet to die. she created albedo and is klee's mother. this makes her 1 of the oldest being in teyvat. clearly a strong containder. on the other hand, klee is way older then her appearence and behavior might suggest. if klee is her mother's biological child, instead of a artificial child like albedo, who knows how long her species life span is. a mere humain life span is, compared to her as the 1st goldfish of a humain, compared to said humain.

skirk. maybe? we know little to nothing about her. for all we know she could be like the traveler. looking young, but far more old. she do look younger then tartaglia and yet she became childe's master back when he was a kid. a doubt she was a kid's master as a baby and that's without taking into account the time her own master passed with her, before skirk first encountered tartaglia.

skirk mentionned the gnosis are the remains of a dead descender. although, one might think this put that unknown descender on the same boat as the twin, since, if we go along the theory the the harbingers are collecting them to use them to bring back to life a descender, this would be a completely different matter. true, since that descender is dead, it can't be 1 of the 4 descenders. on the other hand, if the fatui bring back that descender, this wouldn't mean said descender would be reborn like the twin was. this would actualy mean it'd be a 5th descender. although we don't know who that descender is, for all we know, it can't be nibelung, since the archons already had their gnosis before his death.

that's just my theory. a game theory!!! 🙂

Well the Abyss Twin ain’t a descender bc like there was this letter thingy from one of the Narssizenkruez (god I hate that word) quest line that said “In order for one to qualify as a descender, one must hail from beyond the stars, have the power to create, protect, sustain or destroy the world and must have a will that can rival the whole world.” As we can see, Primordial one created the world (is a descender), Sustainer of Heavenly Principles (literally in the name) and Nibelung tried to destroy the world, so Traveler would be the one to protect it. The Abyss sibling hails from beyond the stars, sure, but they probably don’t have a will that can rival the entire world and is probably poking around the abyss to exchange wills with it to become something like a false descender ig???
