still dont understand why dehya was put on the standard banner, a 5* claymore pyro user… like diluc…. instead of a 5* geo user.
I feel like that banner was for market research. They put the least meta banner imaginable straight after the most meta banner ever. Seems like theyre trying to find out exactly how much people care about character strength and are willing to pay for it. And now they want to make sure that it’s her strength that was the problem and not some other issue with her design.

WWhole thing kiled any anticipation I had for future characters, and honestly any faith I had in their design ability. This patch wasn't B team, this was like Z team. They've been rolling out hot garbage characters for a while now, just not 4 stars. When a character is good, it's like it's an accident. Definitely not playing Star rail now, I have no reason to suspect that they'll design characters any better over there.

The problem here is that Dehya's kit is like a mish mosh of kits thrown together with no synergy, and too many factors working against each other.
Normal attack Combo3 knocks the target away from combo 4 seriously just make combo 3 stagger, stun, or inflict burn instead of knockback because it's such a counterpreductive effect for ANY Pyro unit frankly.
Split Scaling Hp and ATk % an issue that could be fixed by simply having both stats raise the opposing stat by a percentage of the chosen primary stat to help
Mitigation is lackluster
Interruption Resistance doesn't last the full Skill duration the fact this doesn't scale based on being surrounded by 2 or more foes or if the target is either an Elite or Boss enemy feels off-putting.
HP Regen that ONLY benefits Dehya and doesn't carry over to the party In a truly useful manner.
Honestly This should be a universal thing for both Dehya and on-field units simply to better control the mitigated damage to not become something so overwhelming it outright kills Dehya with her own ability.
Passives and Skills that are supposed to synergize instead clash with each other
A skill that doesn't reset it's duration on recast nor provide any noteworthy utility.Her skill has too many issues to fit here frankly.
a Burst that is lackluster to the point I now believe everyone hears a Squeaky noise in their head-canon when she punches..
Seriously that can easily be solved by transferring a portion of the mitigation damage to her burst dmg per strike.
as well as canceling with a jump tap.(If it were "Hold Down Jump Burron" then I seriously doubt anyone would complain)
a Lack of reactions with elements due to her burst not reacting with Normal attacks.

While my c1 r1 Dehya E After Bennett and Kazuha buff doing MELT, 160k first E, 190k 2nd E, 110k when trigger just once before Q.
My c1r1 Dehya doing 460k from Her E alone. While fake Dehyamain doing 11k and start complaining. By the way, Dehya E snapshot Bennett and Kazuha buff in case you didn't know. They just throw away so much damage because they play Dehya wrong.
Need Buff?
Lower burst cost? Why would she has c4 and c6 then?
Higher multiplier? Her c1 increase her Damage almost 40% and can get it for free from losing 50/50.
Get Bonus from getting hit? Have you read her c2 yet?

Dehya is the last character on which I spent money. If they can't make her work, how can I be sure next characters are going to work ?
The simple move is to stop expecting anything from what comes next, live in constant fear of disappointment, and stop spending on the game.

I got dehya, and I love her. So if they buff her, it's a bonus for me. What will be hilarious if they make her insanely stronger and the rest of you slept on her while she slips into the standard banner. Karma is a thing. She's an awesome character and hella fun to play. Period. Yall slept on Kokomi, too, and look, she's a must-have. Why are travelers so entitled? You should be grateful to Hoyo.
If only they could have character future support updates to change metas and maybe follow lore, like childe finally getting his final form in the future and like klee getting a patch to make her burst off field. Like character changes to fix their issues like zhongli.
They need to buff dehya's burst cuz if they do dehya would be an AMAZING character. Her eyes are so pretty in game and I think she pretty much deserves a huge buff. I've been seeing leaks of dehya from a while and I did see players were excited for her UNTIL they saw her kit. But I don't expect much from hoyoverse, hoyoverse is kinda bad there's a very low chance that they buff dehya
The main problem for Dehya's backlash is due to her marketing and hefty roll as a story driven "Main" character for the Sumeru story quests if she wasn't marketed in the way she was, nor played such a domanant roll without the archon storyline not many players would be so upset, Yes her kit is dook dook, but would most of you honestly care about a hero you barely know anything about? No that's the underling answer here. That in lies the problem, however WE Got to know and like Dehya as a character her kit was supposed represent WHAT we grew to like or even love about her but it was an utter farse a mish mosh of failed ideas that didn't mesh nor correspond well with Character we "KNEW". THAT's WHY everyone is honestly pissed off, and rightly so. HoYo NEEDS to COMPLETELY Overhaul Dehya's entire kit from scratch, end of story.

And this game still lacks characters cause its young, so why release niche characters this early on

Dehya is a 5 star and definitely deserves her buff.
Fix her atleast her burst should do 50k per slash
The thing about why people are making comparisons to zhongli and dehya because the situations are very much the same as far as momentum. Zhongli was when the game was taking off and Dehya is when the game is winding down. People were willing to quit when bcz of zhongli kill its momentum and people are willing to quit over Dehya spiraling the game to its death. The thing is that Dehya is just kinda the last straw for a lot of people where the Sumeru characters and content as a whole has not been received well outside of a few characters. You got Nahida at the top who was received well, alheitham and yao yao are good, Wanderer was eh, and the rest either were underwhelming, had a restriction issue(nilou), or just plan bad. With the exception of Nahida and Yao Yao(she is prolly good bcz she isnt from sumeru lul) all their best characters are pre 3.0. Dehya needed to have at elast a good kit to spark some life back into the game, especially since so many people were looking forward to her.

On Dehyas Design?
Dehya is a Bad Dps, Bad protector, and Bad support. Any team/role you would use Dehya, theres a 4* who would do the job better because she has no identity or purpose.
For reference of my personal experience, My Dehya is Lvl90, C1, Skills 9/9/10, and I have an R1 Beacon. I use her in Burning Melt Ganyu team because its the closest to almost good she gets.
I LOVE Dehya and I just want her to be worth using. We are not asking for her to be OP, not asking for an early Pyro Archon. She so far below all the other 5*s that shes actually weaker than almost all the 4*s. Thats absurd and needs to be fixed. The only possible justification for current Dehya is your playing Future Impact again like with Thoma and Kuki and Dehya will be good in Fontaine or God forbid later. Theres 2 problems with that though. 1, Kuki and Thoma got saved by the new element Dendro being added. There no new element left to fix Dehya. 2, if something in the future is going to make Dehya decent that means the game is not ready for Dehya to be in it and neither are the players. Stop giving us useless characters that dont become useful till 6 months later.
