Her fellow eremites hold her in high esteem for her courage and power. We learn about Dehya’s background and her journey to become an alpha in the trailers.

We also learn about her abilities, talents, constellation Mantichora, and lore. The first video starts off with Dehya demonstrating her normal attack. After that, she then switches to her Molten Inferno, a charge attack that creates a wall of fire to defend her allies. Additionally, her elemental burst, known as Leonine Bite, restores HP and temporarily accelerates attack speed.

We also learn about Dehya’s other abilities. As a result of her Unstinting Succor, anyone nearby will heal more quickly, and The Sunlit Way will cause pyro AoE damage to nearby enemies. We also learn about her talents known as The Flame Incandescent, The Last Stand Charge, and The Sand-Blades Glittering. It is easy for these attacks to dispatch powerful enemies.

The trailers introduces us to Nahida, Tighnari, Candace, Alhaitham, Cyno, Nilou, Dori, and Layla, who are Dehya’s companions. Dehya demonstrates her true power, roaring like a lion, she unleashes a raging fire that leaves enemies in ruins.

“That wall was never meant for keeping things out. It was for protection.”
During the early morning hours, the blazing sun rose high above the desert plains and crags, casting rays of hope across the land.

A lioness’s mane and tail glare radiantly in the scorching light.
Pure gold and crimson sand shine alike in the sun’s searing gaze.

Mercenaries make a living using the edge of their blades, and so, deception and obsequiousness fester in such a lifestyle.
As such, a straightforward and stalwart mercenary like Dehya is one that employers desire.

  1. Love dehya but she's so clunky and honestly really bad and this is coming from someone who will pull for anyone even if others label them bad.
Getting frozen, overcharged or jumping in her ult cancels the whole ult.
Her damage is abysmal compared to other Pyro 5* like hu tao, yoimiya, diluc and Klee even when dehya is at c6 a c0 of any of the characters I mentioned would honestly still do more or slightly less damage.
She's also not a replacement for a healer or shied granted she gives you offield Pyro application, thoma is better.

  2. Dehya is like an onion. Every peel shows something bad about her, as seen from all the coverage on her. Realizing that all the peels make up her character really makes it feel bad that the player have to contend with so many issues just to use her. For example, Kokomi players have to contend with negative Crit Rate but she still heals and applies Hydro similar to Barbara and can be better at it. Same can't be the said about Dehya.

It's a shame because she is well designed outside of her gameplay.

  3. Dehya's trailers confirmed the opinion I formed of her in the story: she's a professional who prefers to take jobs focused on protection rather than destruction and who knows every person she kills is one fewer potential future ally or client. She's good for keeping herself alive while keeping enemies away from a region or target and applying fairly steady pressure. She's not good at quickly killing enemies – which happens to be what most people would have wanted her for because it's, well, the main thing people focus on when evaluating new characters. Personally, she seems to have what I'm looking for and I consider it a pity I'm quite unlikely to get her in the one or two times I'll be able to pull on her and Cyno's banner while they're up. (Don't have either yet, so I'll be pulling on both.)

  4. Dehya is not a character anyone needs, but if one wants her, she is playable. We saw that experts can even make her part of a team that clears the Abyss. The rest of the game is much easier and any character leveled and built in a proper team works well enough.
I have seen videos about Dehya being better in co-op than single player mode, but I don't co-op and even if I did, I would not dare to bring Dehya there with the negative opinion almost everyone has of her right now.
That said, I do have fun with her in my 'friendship team' and I do think she will improve in the future. I don't recommend spending funds on pulling her, but if she should some day appear from another banner, it is not the end of the world.

  5. For vaporize combination at this moment, I dont think she is a good unit. However Kokomi and Kuki is considered not good until Dendro appeared. So I wonder if they publish more units to use with Dehya. Especial with Fontaine where Hydro archon is.

  6. She's a meme character, her kit is all over the place, she doesn't have a specific role in a team. If you a casual player only care about exploring the world or enjoy the stories quest, then it's fine to use her. If you care about combat content like spiral abyss or damage number then oof too bad for you.

  7. After saving for her and her weapon for 3-4 Banners… I have her C0, C3 Jean and 2 cyno spears…. It was a painful banner to pull on for me. But i'll still put primos into the weapon banner since the 3rd pull will be her weapon.

After that i'll save up for the hydro archon next. But by the love of the archons… stay away from weapon banners. :^D
But in the end i love Dehya, her style is amazing. And she is fun to play even though not as stong as other 5-star.

  8. she has a top tier design an excellent personality and backstory but Mihoyo made her unplayable

interrupt resistance is good and damage taken decrease too

however the multipliers are extremely low and her skill ticks are 2.5 seconds which makes her almost not apply at the right times

not to mention that Yelan or Xingqiu don't work with her even though you have to click to attack on the ult and also the ult is canceled if you jump so if you get frozen you lose the ult

  9. about the teaser at the start: every 5 star character that was added after launch has a teaser in that style, except xiao, who got a short trailer much later (which I commented about on an earlier video). these teasers are usually released a couple days before the demos. perhaps you could react to all those in the same video as the teasers I mentioned in my comment on a previous video (xiao short trailer and teyvat chapter preview travail), since they're of a similar style, so they'd fit well in one video.
