  1. oh that's a tough one for me, as a new-ish player i'm really interested in Noelle's potential on top of liking the character overall. From the Eula banner + starter banner i already got her C5 so if i get the star glitter during my Yae Miko summons and don't get Noelle C6 before the end of the month then i'm probably picking her up from the shop.

  2. 7:50 I understand both ways of thinking. Getting 5 stars is fun and I'm gonna just use my starglitter on wishes cause that's how I have fun. But I also understand why a person ould go for 4 star cons for performance

  3. Nah you're wrong about your critique on starglitter being used for fates as opposed to 4 stars from the shop.

First of all constellations for 4 stars amount to nothing but power, they don't typically add anything new or exciting to your account other than said power which is debatable on how fun that is (some people claim to enjoy being OP but I doubt they are being 100% honest with themselves because if you can put in cheat codes to 1 shot everything you don't keep playing that game for very long, but people think that would be fun because they don't know shit about what makes a fun game they just think they do, they are just players that don't think too long about shit like this in the end it's no real fault of theirs but you can't trust players to know whats best for a game, or even best for their own enjoyment of said game unless they are the rare individual that actually has amazing self awareness.)

5 stars on the other hand are literally the driving force behind continuing to play the game, the f2p player is never gonna own every 5 star, and most 5 stars they do pull for are gonna be the first copy of said 5 star, which means adding a brand new playstyle, a brand new resource sink (and thus a GOAL for them to invest resin into once they run out of ways to efficiently upgrade their current roster) and just the raw cool fun factor of getting a shiny new character in general. THATS where the fun is, not a power constellation pull. A power constellation pull is a means to an end of beating content that you otherwise can't, but otherwise will always fall behind pulling a fun new character in terms of whats best for that players enjoyment long haul.

All that said, even from a mathematical perspective, the 6.8 wishes you get from 34 starglitter is ALMOST enough to guarantee a RNG 4 star anyway (and when you factor in stardust and starglitter you get from those 6.8 pulls, it's actually more than 6.8 pulls technically), and the RNG isn't even total RNG, because banners you pull on are going to have a roughly 2/3 chance of you pulling an ON BANNER 4 star, so for example this current banner with XQ and Beidou, two great 4 stars on it has a really good chance of your starglitter fates pulling you a XQ con or a Beidou con, so it's not like you're likely to pull some dogshit con you would never use as long as you spend your fates on the right banners. There's the chance of getting something trash, but hey, if we're talking about chance, there's also a chance you hit a 5 star in those 6.8 pulls, where as there's a zero % chance of that happening if you take a Xiangling con from the starglitter shop instead.

Then there's the building of pity aspect on top of it which is super fucking relevant, it just is, f2p players can't get every 5 star they want, so slowing their progress by like 7 wishes is no joke and will cause them to miss out on a 5 star eventually. Also on the topic of eventually, whatever fucking con you're taking from the starglitter shop isn't even equivalent to an outright purchase of said con, it's more similar to taking out a LOAN for that constellation until the day you RNG pull that same char, at which point you have paid for the loan by losing out on that pity building, so essentially you had BETTER make use and get your fun out of that 4 star shop buy in the meantime to justify losing that pity, and I'd argue most people don't, they might clear 1 extra floor of the abyss here and there if were being generous, and odds are they don't even use that 4 star on their overworld team the bulk of the time they play because it's probably a national comp constellation and they probably prefer playing their Eula or Ganyu or whatever on the overworld where they spend 95% of their time playing the game anyway (which are fun 5 stars, aka what you're giving up when you throw your starglitter away.)

  4. My problem is why save up for a four star when they aren’t adding any new four stars to the shop? They have yet to add inazuma characters so it’s been the same 6 or so characters for more than a year

  5. hey seka would be interesting to review fixed banner 5 stars (mona, diluc, jean,Keqing,Qiqi) WITH cons in comparison with c5 'new' 5stars. as more f2p and budget players are progressively getting those constellations

  6. I picked up Bennet's constellation from the shop a few months ago thinking I was at C0 and it would be great to make him C1. However, apparently I was already at C2. And then when pulling for Eula, I got 3 Bennet's constellations, making him C6 because of that purchase. Now I have one constellation hanging doing nothing while I could have bought Fischl constellation instead.

  7. If you got all the constellations of 4 star characters and weapons, you don't need to save that starglitter and can spend it for wishes. But I do wonder if refining Blackcliff weapons is worth it or not. Cause using the Blackcliff catalyst feels underwhelming on Klee.

  8. By the time you earn enough starglitter to buy a Blackcliff weapon, chances are you already have better weapons or will obtain them very soon. I will probably never buy any of those weapons from the shop. I'm happy to finally have enough starglitter to get some much needed constellations. I thought I was safe at 30 pity to pull for more Cs on the current banner and build pity, but now have a C1 Zhongli. Not the worst thing, but it did reset my pity. Waiting to see which 4 stars are on the next banner before I keep going. There's something to be said for the guarantee you get from the shop!

  9. Hard disagree with wishes being the least valuable option in the shop. By default, wishes are the ONLY option worth purchasing, because everything else (or a functional replacement) can be obtained from repeatable farming or through pulls.
The only reason you buy the other stuff is because you want it NOW, but at the severe cost of losing x number of wishes in the future. You even mentioned this yourself earlier in the video, about how bad it feels to pick up a C7 copy of someone you bought in the shop previously because that means you flushed 7 wishes down the toilet.

In order words, buying the non-wish stuff is short term fulfillment, something spenders who can impulse splurge can afford to do, but not F2P that need to be super conservative with budgeting every primo/wish. F2P can always wait multiple months, multiple banners if they have to for the next pull. F2P cannot recover 7 lost wishes because they cannot swipe to reload.
