It is no understatement to say that players are hyped for the version 4.0 update, which will finally introduce Fontaine, the land of justice. Although Hoyoverse is yet to announce the date of release for the Fontaine patch, it is expected to go live on August 16, 2023. Hoyoverse will conduct an official live stream before version 4.0 patch release to tease upcoming characters and weapons, the Fontaine map expansion, and the much-awaited new chapter of Archon Quest. The release of Fontaine will mark the beginning of Archon Quest Chapter IV- Masquerade of the Guilty. Hoyoverse will tease Fontaine’s upcoming release with a Special Program that will be livestreamed on their official social media platforms. The Special Programs are usually scheduled 10 to 12 days usually on Fridays before a patch release. Therefore, you can expect the 4.0 Special Program Livestream to be scheduled for around 8 am UTC-4 on August 4, 2023.
The 4.0 update of will bring out the Fontaine map expansion, allowing players to finally visit and explore this foreshadowed land of justice. Fontaine will also introduce diving mechanics to the game, allowing players to explore submerged areas.
During the livestream, Hoyoverse is expected to announce the new characters, weapons, events, and other important news about version 4.0. It will also drop three unique codes worth 300 primogems, and of course the rerun banners. Lyney is the newest five star character, so he will surely get his banner in the first phase of 4.0. Along with him yelaan is also expected to get her rerun in the first phase. In the second phase, child and zhongli are expected to get their reruns. And this will be child’s fourth rerun since his releaserelease, and zhongli’s fourth rerun as well. Overall this live stream will be very special and different from the other special programs so far, so make sure that you don’t miss it. And don’t forget to redeem the codes as soon as you can, because they usually expire after 20 hours or so.
