  1. I had read a theory that Kaeya says it differently because of their Khaenri'ahn origin or something
But Jean and Amber??? Thanks for throwing this cute headcanon off.😒😤

  2. I would say that this pronunciation makes sense and we are just used to saying it one way. Because "E" in English can be differently pronounced so when we say "bed" than Albedo the way Jean says it would be correct. But the community already agreed that it's Albedo like in the word "beta".

  3. This is what happenes when english voice director doesn't care. So we had Liyue sounding different in each person's mouth, plus many other terms and names.

  4. It is French! (But I had never heard of that word before) But they decided to remove the accented character: “albédo”, pronounced like you always did: al-b’eh-do
They probably told Jean that the word was French, and maybe she tried to pronounce it without the accent, which really sounds akward: al-b’huh-do

  5. Actually (yes, I'm doing an "actually"), I think they are pronouncing it the way a German would (since mondstad is inspired by Germany). In Dutch you'd also say al buh do. depending on the place in a word or name. The E can be pronounced as a U. We call it a stupid E (stomme E). German also has this. I know someone with a similar name to Albedo, Albeda. His name is pronounced Al buh da. Since Lisa came from Sumeru that's probably why she says his name differently. If this is the case then it's a neat little detail.
