  1. About the PVP thing. I'm totally fine with non-combat PVP. You know things like the Windtrace, the hide-n-seek event.
    I guess the reason people are really sensitive with the term "PVP" is because most of the MMORPGs which are considered trash are because of combat PVP. This issue has existed for decades.
    I totally agree that combat PVP will definitely make Genshin a trash.
    Just stick with non-combat PVP or non PVP and the game will be safe.

  8. I agree with the whole list. But you missed one. I just love it when someone goes "You are AR XX, and you still use X? How many hours did that take and you still play like a noob!". Or some such thing. Like… no, just no. I'm not going to be taking that sitting down, or even standing. It's my prerogative who I use, even if I'm AR57 now. Oh and I have just walked away from conversations that included anyone saying "X character sucks". Genshin is not a hard game, you can beat the abyss with any char if you really invest in them. I ain't sticking around a meta zombie who measures everything in "Ganyu" and "Hu Tao" factors, and anything that falls short is automatically labeled as inferior.

  9. In my opinion, the GENSHIN IS DYING topic is an overexaggeration or overreaction. I had played multiple gacha games in the past where after 1 year of release, the the number of players just falls down most of the time due to mostly of lack of new content and other reasons.

    The game overachieved in terms of sales due to the tining of the game released during the peak of the pandemic.

    I do also hope that some better content coming in the future in this game its just a matter of your willingness to wait for it. Some people is just not willing to wait that long for new content to come and its fine, just move on to other games.

HYV has been worried about player retention for a while now… it's likely that the numbers have been on the decline for a while and it's probably going to continue, particularly since the game itself prevents players from jumping in. The "how likely are you to recommend the game to others?" question has been present in the surveys for a long time, the regularity of the surveys in general, give away their insecurity and awareness that things are far from how good they could be. 

    I doubt the game is going to die any time soon but I think it's going to keep taking hits as the confluence of their major problems (lack of acknowledgement of the player's contributions to the game's success, their strange game choices, the lack of meaningful communication, and the high costs of premium players) become more and more difficult to ignore.

Felt like the other end of the spectrum, saying anything that indicates that you're a whale, is just as taboo-ish as F2PBTW tbh…Give even the smallest hint that you're a whale and ppl start talking down on you…especially those F2PBTW ppl…Thus why a lot of time I become hesitant to enter some discussions since being a whale feels just as much of a taboo as F2P players…=_="

  19. i think hype has definitely died down, but i think it’s silly to say the game is dying since it’s normal for people to talk and trend things when there’s stuff to talk about. also, mihoyo listens to the player base for sure, i see a lot of people say they ignore the player base but most of the time player suggestions are just not that good. if you don’t think mihoyo has thought about resin adjustments, artifact drop rates, abyss difficulty, etc. then idk what to tell you except that they have people whose job it is to consider those things. people have been saying the game is dying since the first month the game was released, so it’s hard not to roll my eyes when it comes up every single slow patch

  22. I'm F2P btw and I really proud
    to say that. I won all the banner from kazuha up to yae miko without spending hundred of dollars. So It's given I'm not loyal to a single account. I have 210 intertwined ready for c2 raiden. Another with 175 wishes for yoimiya weapon or ayato.
    A fun freeze team with ayaka,shenhe and kokomi. An elergy waiting for venti and many more. I'm not saying this to flex but to give option to other people that you don't have to pay overprice characters and weapons to have fun or just to avoid regret of skipping and fear of missing out. You
    don't have to burn your
    wallet or to sell your kidney because hype is only temporarily. And pls don't say "oh so you have so much time" ffs you can finish an account within 5-10mins 🙄.

  23. 1. tier list itself looses validity depending on the game state. genshin's meta is extremely dynamic. Apart from that it also depends on the characters you have in your account or have already built, which character would be on top. Most tier lists creates negetive discussion because there are no clear difference between say a S tier with an A tier character.
    2. Saying "X character sucks" is altogether a wrong approach in my opinion. every characters has flaws , you need to circumvent to play them optimally. Look at kokomi for example.
    3. you need to look at both sides to understand why PvP is extremely polarizing subject. if PvP doesn't involve the characters you have built in 1v1 combat, (or 4v4 whatever), it defeats the purpose of building the characters, grinding artifacts etc.
    The existance of the obvious possibility of being run over by whales is also there. that is why mihoyo seems to avoid it altogether.
    4. i still have full respect for any F2Ps who achieve the goals of the game but i think it's a toxic vocal minority of the F2P community that created the bad rep. I personally do not hold them as representative of the whole F2P playerbase. I think everyone should also not do that.
    5. Genshin right now going through what we would call in anime, filler episodes. plus some new amazing games came out. Not to mention, google trends represent the trending topic being searched. since the new year, nothing exceptionally new was added into the game that you would go search on google. it will climb back up as soon as chasm drops and climb to the top again, when sumeru drops. just like what happened before inazuma
