He set fire to the house with the dead boy, hoping that his friend's heart would be born in the ashes. This is breaking my heart😭
I think that the contrast between the ingame scene and this one is heartbreaking. In the ingame scene, we see him instantly accept his last friend's death. He goes straight to his vengeful thoughts- Because Scaramouche doesn't want to remember when he felt most vulnerable. What Hapaysia and the Traveler see is what remains on the surface. But here we get to see him grieve. He holds onto the doll and sits in the flames, wishing he could burn away too. But he doesn't. The flames avoid him, and he has to move forward. He joins the Fatui, and crafts a new persona for himself. He doesn't need his old self anymore. All that emotion, all that pain shouldn't be held by a puppet with no heart.
Scaramouche is ignoring a lot of his feelings, but I think he's going to be forced to confront them soon. I'm just hoping for the best for our favorite Bohemian Rhapsody boy. Which, by the way. HE SAID A LINE FROM IT! Scaramouche cover when…. HE SAID A LINE FROM IT!

the story about the soldier and the ballerina is actually a real story written by Hans Christian Andersen
Fun fact: The story that was mentioned by the boy in the video is a original one and is called "the steadfast tin soldier" by Hans Christian Andersen. But in the original story the ballerina, who is made out of paper btw, also jumps in the fire because she also loves the soldier and they both die happily.
Fun fact: the story the boy mentioned is actually a real life fairytale called “The steadfast tin soldier”, the actual story is a little bit more detailed and it is a bittersweet love story that I suggest you give it a read sometimes!
This trailer made me sad, angry, shocked, disbelieving, in mind bogglingly quick succession. This made me go through the 7 stages of grief better than my grandpa's death did, do you see why I'm so angry at this stupid 2 minute teaser? And I can't stop REWATCHING IT so you crying actually makes me feel better

I'm really impressed with what miHoYo has done with his story. I /despised/ Scaramouche right up till Nahida took the gnosis away. Like I honestly considered him worse than Otto. At least Otto saw his evil as a necessary means to benevolent end. Scaramouche seemed to enjoy killing and hurting people for the fun of it. That's way, way worse than Otto. And yet, with the ending of one cut scene, a version trailer and a character teaser miHoYo has made me feel sorry for Scaramouche and care about him, even if just a little.
Good writing can make you truly hate a character. Masterful writing can make you hate a character and then make you rethink your stance and come to like them more. miHoYo is really good at doing this…
