  1. You will notice people pronouncing things differently between each other here in Liyue, that's because Liyue is based on China so the Egnlish cast was very unequipped for reading some of these lines. It gets better as the game continues though.

  2. Also for the timeline:
500 years ago was the Archon ware, before that there where other gods. For example the godest of Salt ( in Liyue), or the one from Watazumi island ( in Inazuma ), or likely king Deshret ( Scarlet King) ( in Sumeru ).

  3. Almond tofu is not actually tofu, its just called tofu because its cut into cubes so it looks similar to tofu ^^ its more of a sweet almond jelly. Chinese almonds also have a different flavor profile than western almonds, its also one of my favorite desserts! Xiao has good taste

  4. Now we get to Liyue. (Also if you noticed how Liyue keeps getting pronounced differently by each person, the localization team did a poor job voice directing how words are supposed to be said. At least for early Genshin days)
The land based on China itself. So it gets the most attention to detail in terms of artistic design and lore.
2 things to know about this regionā€™s protectors.
    Adepti:
    – Celestial-like beings that have been with the humans of Liyue for many centuries. Most of whom we meet also go by ā€œIlluminated Beastsā€.

    Yaksha:
    – Is basically what Xiao is. Iā€™m not sure if the story actually explains them here or in his specific character quest. Either way, heā€™s got some stuff that will affect your emotions.

  5. WOOOOO
    7:14 WOOOO CRASH
8:52 pfft i knew the…[twist] before starting, so idk if thats why…
But right here I was like "Eh, lemme get closer — I purified Dvalin's tears, maybe I can revive him!

    9:01 Which was fair,
9:09 I literally tried to walk up to him earlier and got stopped so it really applied to me

(There are some Fatui that I do like)

30:00 He's the oldest… I can't say the second half of that sentence bc someone will say it later

    30:32…You know…I might do it

Also! I like this so much more bc I was always lamenting like "the fight is short, it feels awkwardly cut without it" etc.

Plus you can see combat now~
And I also like Xiangling's pyronado (and it's great because everyone has one)

  6. 18:41 Again this is likely an older version of the voice lines, hence some of the mispronunciations are very noticeable.
Aside from that the cultural significance behind the Adepti is derived from real-world Daoism and Buddhism, in addition to their related mythologies. Entailing that they each cultivated and found enlightenment, thus transcending into celestial beings that act as Liyueā€™s long-lived protectors
