You're gonna need a decent amount of er rather than focusing on Attack. TL;DR Catch is still better for utilizing Raiden's Kit and still gives a good amount of damage.
dont think a test is even needed since its obvious who had more damage, the catch has an er main stat so the one with atk is gonna do more damage. and also critrate and character max energy are variable and cant be measured easily, it wouldve been better if u can do a complete comparison where you balance both stats as much as possible
so all those hours that i waste fishing for my r5 the catch , lol now i have this weapon r1 but still bether. but i got staff or homa i just need more crit rate on sub stats for hutao (was using primordial spears)

Damage is bigger but Raiden's passive grants her with 0.6% (for each 1% above 100) greater ER from her ult. So catch provides with big Damage and ER.
Can you also try fully stacked her ring before using her ult

Since I pulled on Homa banner, I got multiple copies of this weapon. Definitely using this and passing on The Catch to Xiangling now.

WHY DOES THIS 4* HAVE A HIGHER BASE ATTACK THAN OTHER 5* WEAPONS, THIS WEAPON IS BASICALLLY A 5* GODAMNIT
You should use ER time piece with baal because most of the people are going to use it, reason: baal needs atleast 230% ER
Still prefer the catch for more burst uptime.

instead of both fin anf catch, i use r2 skyward spine, i love the attack speed buff!
