  1. He didn't burn the kid, he just cremated him.
we saw the kid die in the Scara's story cutscene in the archon quest. Also it's heavily implied in the Husk of Opulent Dreams set that the kid was sick.

  2. Ai! If you’re ear is hurting pulsing and it feels like you can’t hear well, then around the area of your ear it means that you have an ear infection. It’s usually normal it is painful very painful but It tends to happen.

  3. Thank you Hoyolab for making us sympathize with and romanticize yet another 'antagonist'. They do such an amazing job with their darker/ more serious character arcs. Originally wasn't planning on wishing for Scara, but with everything I've seen in regards to him over the past couple of weeks … I guess I'll be adding another Anemo boy to my team. xD

  4. I actually remember watching the original Tin Soldier animated story as a kid, it was written by Hans Christian Andersen and watching this brought back so many memories. It was such a sad story and I can’t believe they made Scara’s story based on it. Scaramouche burning the place his friend died in makes much more sense now.

  5. This teaser story was very poetic the more I watch it: The idea of one's heart being found from the embers of disaster loops around a couple times just in the span of this short trailer.
The child tells Scara the story of the Steadfast Tin Soldier (albeit slightly altered to fit the narrative here). It seems that the soldier always had a heart and it was only revealed to be so in the ashes of misfortune. Then later on when Scara utters "what a joke… it's just ashes… nothing left but ashes" is the confirmation of the world's ultimate joke in his eyes. No hearts are truly born from ashes. It was all a lie. Not even the child left anything behind.
Then, at the end we have Wanderer going back through his memories (I presume) and finally finding the "heart" that always eluded him; turns out it was him all along in the center of that fire.
Not all of us have the courage to go back to our past selves and show understanding, compassion and reconciliation but it is surely an effective method to help heal trauma. I can't wait to see how Hoyoverse tells his story in the next update.

  6. Mhm Patrick did a very very good job on this teaser.
But I just can't get off the Bohemian Rhapsody reference, it caught me off guard, started watching this seriously to burst out laughing

  7. Ok as sad as this is, and as great as a job his VA did, THE SONG BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY JUST BECOMES INCREASINGLY RELEVANT TO HIS CHARACTER TO MORE WE LEARN ABOUT HIM.

  8. There Hoyoverse goes again… making it hard to dislike any of the characters, whether foe or ally. The VA did an amazing job with the portrayal. Now I don't know what to feel because he's become too pitiful to hate, too twisted for me to like, and too relatable for my comfort. Props again to the VA, editors, and everyone behind the scenes who made such an amazingly emotional teaser.

  9. When he said "It hurts…"…..it really got me and his lines at the end really resonated with me, as someone who has depression, I never once asked myself or anyone that question….made me cry for real.
