The game is fine. These fluctuations in player count are normal for every game with this type of model. Could Genshin be better, yes, much better. But the most recent Baxophone video about the CN theories made me realize that Hoyoverse is just rushing the new characters out, which means that the 6 weeks they have between patches isn't enough for them to flesh out the characters. Yae Miko is the prime example of this. I mean her set doesn't even work on her! So unless they actually expand their team releasing more new characters than they are doing now would only lead to worse and worse characters!

Never thought i would quit but i just did 4 days ago after playing since day 1. Playing lost ark instead. Too little too late. I dont have time for multiple games anymore. Genshin started to feel like a chore rather than an enjoyment. Lack of multiplayer focus unfortunately caused its demise.

This happened after they didn't timegate the new event. (for first time to experiment) I hope Hoyoverse don't have the wrong idea that lesser people become inactive because they didn't timegate event. People become inactive because there's no real content outside events.
it took me 107 days on genshin to get bored, tired and extremely pissed off with where the game is going …the rewards suck the events suck tbh abyss even sucks its fun doing it every month but it gets boring . I didn't hold back on that survey. .everything gets boring after you hit AR60 . Takes literary between 1k to 1.5k to c6 a 5 star and months and months of dormain to dormain rng artifact to only get like one or 2 decent sets for characters.. I went from being a genshin fant to bored of genshin . puzzles were awesome but then that gets old .

I agreed with a lot of things in this but the artifact grinding really sucks man.
It shouldn't be the only thing that keeps you playing just because it takes ages to get results.

yeah i feel the game is better and more fun as an f2p buuuuuuuut due to no content and no new chars as an f2p it feels like there is no game

Youโve spent over 100k on the game ofc itโs easy to beat everything in the open world.
After like a year of none stop playing I finally stopped last month, its just not worth it anymore. There's so many things that need to fix or even add. Fix resin, give us more primo gems, make daily quest entertaining. Some sort of weekly event to keep coming back to. Lower pity or increase the chance of getting a 5 star. Don't get repeats of 4 star characters. They have the money and people for it but they don't care
I hated this event in Enkanomiya (prob wrong spelling) it just felt so boring
I've been playing every single day since April and honestly this seems like a perfect time to take a break with all the big RPGs coming out and still no Sumeru in sight for at least 1 or 2 more patches.
I mean, i have 500+ days active in this game. Played everyday (literally everyday, didnt skip a day). I think a major impact had the release of Lost Ark and another reason would be the artifact system in this game. I keep farming and farming for months and months to get A DECENT artifact set for a character that i pulled 3 months ago. Game becomes something like a chore and you are not able to have fun and build different characters, try different teams and different builds. Game is fun, but the amount of time and RNG for artfacts its insane. Another big reason is old characters dont feel like 5 stars anymore (im looking at all the standard characters and at you Klee). The game pulls out more characters than content so the content becomes the characters and not being able to build your character that you pulled means you have no "content" to play.
Honestly I still get playtime out of Genshin but itโs just purely for building more units out of bordem, I havenโt even started the new event out of fear of not having jack shit after it.
The Chasm and Sumeru really need to be good or Genshin is gonna take a massive hit.
I had a feeling that the playerbase has been decreasing lately coz there isn't much hype energy in Genshin anymore. With awesome games like Elden Ring and Lost Ark its no wonder players are transferring there.
Quit a few months ago and man im not even hyped for that upcoming new region coz Elden Ring has been taking my time. The game its just too good.
