I saw the email, I saw it was officially P.A.I.M.O.N, yet I just ignore it because there was a chance it could have been a SCAM mail from even a unofficial Hoyo account to use to be able to fish your account informations, I like primogems, but I don't click on anything, link or not like those.
Who knows, that email could just be Hoyoverse way to see how many of their playerbase are gullible and easy to deceive by just using Primogems as its bait 😂😂😂😂 🤣🤣

There is no reason why Mihoyo/ Hoyoverse gave exclusive primogems reward unless you win a contest from them.
