Oya it's interesting that some characters (such as Kaeya) don't have collected miscellany, but we know that Dain "knows" every character in Tevyat. Even the one who talks abt Wanderer is Alice. it means that Dain does not know those characters??
KAEYA IS SO SUS. notice how he said "I'll be just as delighted to hunt down the Abyss Order tomorrow as I have always been" ? but we dont KNOW for sure that he's ever taken any delight in that.
at the very end of the domain where we get him, we see him about to confront an abyss mage before Diluc swoops in and takes care of it – we dont know for sure that Kaeya would have tried to take it out. there was also the time at the very end of the Mondstadt archon quest where the knights had the bridge all barricaded because there was apparently an abyss order assault while we were dealing with Stormterror, and we find out that Kaeya conveniently avoided this battle with the pretext of remaining in the city in case the assault was just a distraction from some other infiltration.
we never got any concrete evidence Kaeya is against the abyss order. the way he worded things here would make you think sor, but it's such a specific phrasing that he wouldn't be lying to us either if he hadn't in fact been their adversary this whole time – and that would mean he still remains on their side, or at least neutral.
he is such a silver tongue it's insane. remember Diluc's voiceline about him ? you can only trust about half of what Kaeya says.
I wonder if, after seeing his son and others be turned into hilichurls, Eide killed the mother himself before she was able to be transformed? That’s dark
I know Edie’s va! He voiced a character by the name of the Mad Duke in WoW Shadowlands expansion. He left quite the impression which is why I immediately recognized him
I think the "Sinner" is Pierro. Khaenri'ah doesn't have a God yet he serves the Tsaritsa. Plus as a Harbinger, he already knows about the Traveler.

I was having fun playing this quest in Chinese when Dain and Kaeya shares the VA, like Sun Ye is just doing a long monologue with different voice lmao. I think that's the interesting part of this story as for the rest was just kinda boring for me even though they give more lore stuff

It’s clear that clothar had the power to break the curse placed on him by the gods, it’s likely that he would’ve used it to cure caribert as well. If caribert was returned to his human form then as a half khaenrian, now that khaen’riah is destroyed, he would seek out the other half of his origins which would be in mondstadt. Now who is the only confirmed half-blooded khaenrian that isn’t a hilichurl? Who just so happens to be abandoned by his father in mondstat? It’s unlikely Kaeya is caribert but it’s incredibly obvious that he is going to be a key part to the “loom of fate”.
lmao ofcourse kaeya knew/had his suspicions. What else do you think he told diluc, the night crepus died. Diluc always knew kaeya was adopted, that night kaeya told his origins to diluc, which threw him in a fit of rage. Kaeya divulged whatever he knew/had suspicions about infront of diluc(and only Diluc in mondstadt knows about this truth…maybe varka too but eh, we havent met him yet so cant say).
41:46 Doesn't matter if Kaeya is pure blooded or not. He was born waaaay after the Cataclysm and he's aging normally since he and Diluc grew up together. He isn't cursed. If he was born during the Cataclysm then chances are he would turn to a hilichurl as well.
actually forget our traveller for a second, has dainsleif been mentioned by Nahida? I remember her saying that our sibling made the journey across teyvat, did she mention about anyone accompanying her? Why do i feel any instance of past that we see, dainsleif is always forgotten. Other than abyss members, dain isnt all that prevalant in flashbacks despite being very important to the lore. well this quest atleast confirmed, that Dain is not one of the descenders. Because traveller sees him in his siblings memory. Traveller sees dain, chlothar, caribert and their sibling. Meaning, they all are not descenders, as the leylines had them recorded(and travellr saw that recording).
Sheesh… I played it through JP dub but the english dub hits different.
Also i know i m commenting like crazyyy, but the reason why Eide got no blessing from the statue, because either nahida was not found yet, or was entrapped by the sages. Rukkhadevata had died, and new born nahida was put in cage or didnt have her powers at this time. She could not help or even respond to his plea.

Also holy shitttttt i just saw something in your video, the two npcs that you talked to(after you drew water), there are two people, one researcher and one eremite there, outside travellers memories as well(this all is happening in traveller's sibling's memories after all).
but there is a difference, the npcs taht you talked to, were named Hajjan and Fateh. But when you go there any other time(other than doing this quest), their name is Hayyan and Futuh. They are not the same people. It was a hint that you arent in real world, but most people missed it simply cuz people dont remember NPC names that arent all that important. And even if they remember the names, they are pretty similar to the quest exclusive versions Hayyan and Hajjan, Fateh and Futuh.
i think that this "sinner", "the one who understands fate", and the "self-proclaimed prophet" is the same person that was talked about in the statuettes that the black serpent knights and the heralds/lectors drop bc they accurately fit the description.

also in the hidden strife event (i could be wrong about the title but it was the diluc skin event) there was a hidden compartment on the roof of the knights of favonius hq where kaeya kept a box filled with letters and all sorts of stuff and there was one letter that talked about how "the alberich clan served as regents when the one-eyed king irmin failed" or something along those lines. so maybe this "sinner" is king irmin, the king during the final dynasty of khaenri'ah?
I managed to finish the quest without harming a single Hilichurl, but Bran, why?

I think the surprise for the community in general was less about Kaenriah and Abyss having close relations (bc I do think it’s obvious at this point) and more about Kaeya being perhaps a direct descendant of its founder. I think it’s the first time we hear about that

40:35 funny thing, 'my' Eide glitched out (I'm on PS4) and during the entire scene I was talking to… thin air. Then, after learning the Recipe, the whole Crafting Bench sequence STARTED AGAIN (still with 'invisible' Eide). Only after the second 'samsara' he appeared and the Quest went on regularly.
Did they ever say that the dad had more than one son? Or are we to assume that Kaeya is Caribert, reason he was put in mond was to find out his roots? (his mom being from mond and all that)
