I think the 3star harbinger of dawn is an amazing weapon for Layla too
Edit: And if you want to build easy crit on Nilou since not everyone will have her 5star signature.
The way I'd do it is Harbinger of Dawn to carry the crit, ER sands, Damage bonus or HP% Goblet and HP% head piece.

Layla is basically the powercreep version of diona
4pc Tenacity doesn't seem viable on Layla unless you have fast skill using characters like Yae Miko or Nilou
If you wish to build her as a dps I've compared her physical dmg to other characters and she has some of the highest scaling I've seen among other 4 stars (and some 5 stars!) and I personally plan on making her a physical dps ! 4pc tenacity would work just fine on her, but I think a 2pc with 2pc pale flame would also work wonders! For stats you want your standard phys dps stats of atk/phys dmg/crit and atk/crit substats since she scales off her base atk for her autos instead of hp. Dont be afraid to give her a little bit of HP as well! It's always nice to have some elemental damage with the physical! Swords for physical layla are obvious. The new 5* with hp is great to give her more hp but if you want some more physical dmg bonus, Aquila or Prototype Rancour are both viable options. I wish all Layla wanters will be Layla havers! This build sheet is a good start. I’ll build my Layla with 4-pc Noblesse Oblige w/ Cryo DMG cup and the Sacrifical Sword. Provides a good balance of shield strength, energy recharge, and damage.
Can she work with Heizou? Or maybe Ayato?
