Theorists, it’s been a while since I talked about Genshin Impact and with the 2.5 update there is a new development I think I should cover. We need to talk about Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon of Snezhnaya. Now, we the player have never actually SEEN her, but boy does she hold a lot of implications as to the future of the game’s story. Get ready to go DEEP and find out who the real bad guy is and why you may have been fighting the WRONG PERSON this whole time!

  1. Some parts missed in this video:
-The Crimson Witch and Maiden’s Beloved artifacts are about Signora.
-The Raiden Shogun didn’t sever her ties with Celestia because of control, it’s because she has this ideal of eternity where she does not want change even in herself.
-Even without the gnosis, the Raiden Shogun still goes needs to go to the place of Euthymia to avoid erosion.
-Khaenri'ah isn’t fully destroyed. The preview video to Genshin Impact that you showed a bit of at 6:18 also previews that we will visit Khaen’ria right after, and that the “destroyed” region is actually the last place we go to.

  2. Also c'mon, guys, don't bother trying to reach. It's crystal clear that MatPat is neither a fan of the game nor a player. He only did a quickie for sponsorship, and he wouldn't care if there wasn't a quick buck to grab. I mean, if a "quality" of this "theory" didn't gave it away for you – this whole theory covers about half of info I knew about Teyvat after about 12 hours of play (4 sessions of 3 hours). And I'm not a crazed loremonger or something, just a casual gamer.
How come a casual gamer can learn more about the game's lore in four sessions than a team of "dedicated researchers" managed in whole year? The only answer is – they didn't actually play the game, just read an update summary and called it "doing research".
Frickin shame how the channel has devolved.

  3. Did you guys even do venti’s story quest? I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt for not knowing some of the stuff from the labyrinth warriors event since that was limited but come on guys this is stuff that was made pretty obvious

  4. I enjoy this theory, however, its worth mentioning that the main reason the "Raiden" aka Ei retired her gnosis was because in the battle to destroy Khanri'ah (con-ree-uh), her sister Makoto died. She blamed Celestia and severed all ties in an attempt to avenge her sisters death. (the way I described it was a bit weird so apologies but its the gist).

  5. the tsaritsa doesn't actually have the electro gnosis, scaramouche does. there was an event with childe where he mentioned looking for him since he took the electro gnosis for himself. scaramouche was originally created by ei as a prototype puppet to hold her gnosis, but it he turned out strong enough. ei thought to was too cruel to kill him so she let him go to live his life as a normal person. during the first-ish parts of the inazuma archon quest we meet scaramouche in this dungeon thing where he poisons us but yae miko comes to save us and ultimately hands over the gnosis to him as a trade for the traveler. instead of taking the gnosis to the tsaritsa he takes it for himself.

  6. I'm actually really excited for the next chapter. I wonder what the fatui will do now that one of their Harbingers, the 6th, has turned their back on them and took the Gnosis for himself. Unless this is all some big act and Scaramouche is just acting (which is probably not the case).

  7. As a Genshin lore lover, oh boy Mat you messed up A LOT of facts and missed a ton of proof. That's probably what happens when the theory is sponsored and not done out of passion
