  1. for the auto-targeting problem, i like how it works in honkai impact. targeted opponents can be swapped by holding down a directional key in the general direction of the desired enemy while attacking. however, the two games are fairly different and this may not even work (im not even 100% sure if this is how the targeting works in honkai).

  2. thanks for giving solutions to the problems you see genshin has, thats constructive criticism i consider needed. nice to see you dont just complain about resin or "theres no content" like others. you actually pointed out real problems

  3. Block auto climbing/vaulting. Instead you have to keep going at the obstacle for 1 second or press jump button to execute the action. Would greatly help Geo Trav and Zhong

  4. Too bad they probably won't do anything to the game much as they've shown they wont add certain features to the game that should be added on all platforms available like for example controller support. For those who dont know if you play the game on pc,playstation, and ios that all can (ps has to use a controller) use a controller but even after a good year+ since controller support was added for mobile in 1.4 update of genshin impact, android version of genshin impact does not have controller support for some bizarre reason that makes absolutely no sense that the ios side got the support but the android side didnt and still hasnt and even if you use a app to overlay the game to use a connected controller mihoyo (or hoyoverse I should say) can and will ban your account even though it's not doing anything to the game other then letting the user play the game with a controller.

  5. Maybe Z-targeting wouldn't work, but I see no reason for FromSoftware's type of lock-on to not function. It would make the entire game far more playable. (Hopefully not an exact copy, because the lock-on has always been a bit unreliable in their games).
But they'll probably say "such quality of life would only ruin the balance of the game" and wouldn't decide to implement it. LMAO

  6. 1:15 what about passives from characters that give buffs? I struggle to understand when a buff procs and this usually messes up my rotations. I think that all burst and skills that stay when you switch the character like xiangling or xingxiu that used it should have an icon indicating the time and the effect like DMG buff or elemental boost/shred and to what element. so many things happen in this game and people just ignores half of it

  7. OMG, when there's a quest dependency blocking you from doing some quest you selected, take the player to the quest that's obstructing it! Such an obvious simple feature that would improve so much. Also, I've joined lower level players to help them, only to hear them say "can't find quest, it's locked behind adventure rank." Anytime something blocks you from doing a quest you've selected, give them instruction how to overcome it. Such an obvious, simple, huge improvement!

  8. for artifact preset, there's an easier solution from what you said here. Just attach it to the party preset. When you deploy party 1, boom, you get all these artifacts attached. The trouble happens when you switch parties, and you need to take all the artifacts from members of party 1 onto members of party 2.

  9. My idea is new weapon type like dual blade, battle axe or hammer, sword and shield, guns, magic staff and Gauntlets. All this weapon is already in the game but only enemy wield it.

  10. Honestly even I play mobile myself sometimes when I'm on vacation however mobile ruins alot of stuff for genshin since there so limited. They wanted to add so many things but couldn't because of mobile players (thats my guess on why they never did the Switch in the end cause it be even more limited) Best example for this is the tea pot load limit .

  11. Me as an Ayaka main can say that yes, I frickin hate the sprint getting stuck and not able to jump after the sprint. But…I love it that I have like the fastest way ever to apply cryo to an enemy, and crossing water is so easy with her.

  12. I also would like to see the auto aiming changed, but more subtly. If you dont have a direction pressed it just auto aims, but you can override it by holding a direction when attacking. I dont get why this isnt a thing anyway because if you hold a direction and attack you just do the attack and dont move

  13. About the artifact sets: for me it would be better if, on the artifacts screen, there was a "Create Artifact set" option, so then I could equip all the artifacts I prefer without having to track them down and equip them one by one.

  14. For me, one thing I would change is consumable gadgets, which are just material sinks.

Instead of portable waypoints being consumable, give us a certain number we can put out, and having to pick up a previous one if we want to out another down.

The adepti seeker's stove does absolutely not need to be consumable, instead just have it work like the launch tube, with also an input to pick it back up

Also there's no reason why resonance stones can't function similar to the treasure compasses

The only consumable I'm somewhat okay with is the omni-ubiquity net, although I would like a way to craft them, instead of having to shell out 50k mora each for five a week.

Gadgets are supposed to be this thing that stays with you, and having to constantly craft them is tedious.

(Also as an aside, I have resonance stones sitting in my inventory gathering dust since I have every oculus so far so it's even more ridiculous that you have to craft them, with not knowing how many you'll possibly need)

  15. Yes i really hope they allow you to disable cons at will. I also wish theyd add some kind of character tabs that shows theirs most defeats, highest damage, frequently used etc. Thus doesnt have to be IN the game, but maybe on a separate website that you can see your own personal info. It could even tell you if your characters' damage is higher or lower than other people in retrospect.

Also, why cant we "enable" paimon on screen with us when we take a photo 🙁

  16. Would love it if they add a shield absorption meter and timer. Another small change that I'd like is if they add a timer to things like Diona ult, Bennett, ult, Rosaria ult, so you can make your combat decisions ahead of time. If you know Bennett ult is running out perhaps you can switch up your rotation a little bit.

  17. oddly enough all of these points you brought up in this video are solved in Honkai Impact 3rd, the previous Hoyoverse game.
So it really is weird, why similar solutions have still not been brought to Genshin Impact.
PS, they still havent added an above 60fps mode even though Honkai Impact 3rd does have a 120fps mode and i even contacted customer support about it like a year ago… still nothing.

  18. One thing I've grown to appreciate since three months ago is a good targetting system.

I started playing Punishing Gray Raven again a month or so ago, and a look at the settings turned up a valuable find: Manual lock on system.

Before, I found that there was this symbol on the enemies, and I didn't realize what it meant until i realized my characters were exclusively targeting the enemy with that symbol (i accidentally knocked that enemy away and my character kept on attacking in that one direction despite the enemies around it).

With the manual lock on turned on, and an option to adjust the enemy my characters should attack, my gameplay is suddenly easier. No more wasting attacks on enemies and going too far from the rest and wasting valuable time going back to the main group! Now, I can just hit the lock on button, and watch the symbol change to another enemy. Want to kill the big enemy but the lock on is on the little ones? No longer a problem, I can just change lock on, and my characters will target the big enemy instead. I don't even need to stop attacking while changing lock on.

It would be kind of easy to implement: The game highlights the enemy you are currently targetting in some way (maybe an arrow above the head), and clicking the lock on button (maybe like the T one) and the arrow would change to another enemy. It's of course, an opt-in thing in settings.

This is gonna help when for instance, you're using a burst but the attack goes for the hilichurl nearest to you (in the wrong direction too hahaha) instead of the GROUP BY YOU-

  19. Artifact Presets are probably one of my most desired feature for GI, and I hate your implementation for it.

    1) Your entire implementation hinges on the assumption that characters will be able to share artifacts, and is just an attempt to work around the issues that arise from this.
I don't feel the need to re-use the same artifact on multiple characters, if I ever needed the same artifact on two characters in the same team, then there's no way out of it other than having two copies of that artifact; if I need two copies, then I'll need to make sure they're both good and leveled up, and if they're both good enough, I might as well just permanently assign one artifact to each character.
Not being able to share artifact across characters is a restriction I'm willing to put up with; it's how the game has worked up until now, it saves a lot of headaches, and it's not the reason I need artifact presets for.

    2) I don't like the concept of Prefered Set or Set Hierarchy. It hinges on the assumption that one set will be the Objectively Better one, and the others are nothing but fallbacks; which only makes sense if sharing artifacts between characters was the *only* purpose of artifact presets.
The reason I want presets is so I can give different specializations and roles to a character, depending on the team composition, and so I can experiment with alternate/unconventional builds. If I make a team where Yanfei is the designated tank, then the Tankfei preset will be her Prefered set for this team, instead of the usual Pyro dps preset; there is no way for the game to figure that out on its own, thus *I need the ability to manually assign a preset to each character.* I thought this feature would be a no-brainer, but you don't even make mention of it, and your implementation actually seems to make it completely impossible with how much it relies on automation.
For that use case, I would actually hate it if the game automatically switched Yanfei to preset n°1 everytime I changed the party lineup. If there is any automation to be had, here, it would be to have the game remember which preset a character is using for each pre-formed team.

    3) By switching preset based on a character's position in the party, you implicitely give a special meaning to each party slot. Party slots never had any special meaning, and I ended up building a very strong muscle memory with using specific characters/roles on specific slots; (e.g, healers go on 1, and tanks go on 4). To me party slots are primarily a form a keybinding, and I find it absurd to have character loadouts change when changing your keybindings; anything that would force me to change them would seriously upset my habits.

  20. For auto-targeting, another option I'd love would be to have it be toogled by movement keys, instead of per attack-type:
    – If all movement key are released, auto-targeting proceed as usual
    – If a movement key is held, auto-targeting is overriden; attacks are executed in the direction of the pressed keys.

The specifics of what "overriden" can mean are up for debate, either targeting is completely disabled, or it restrict targeting to enemies within ~45° of the pressed direction. The later would be particularly beneficial to ranged character, but anything would be a straight up upgrade so I wouldn't be picky. The gist of it is that I find movement keys to be the most instinctive way of quickly swapping between two targeting modes.

  21. Oh how I wish every single one of those this was real! 😓
Auto target and sprint blocking is so annoying… Also WHY ISN'T THERE A CONSTELLATIONS TOGGLE YET? The game feels as if there are limitations everywhere 😒
I think the artifact system at least needs an indicator which stats are recommended. Especially for new players it's a nightmare and I would have been interested sooner in artifacts if it wasn't a dive headfirst into deep water… it's just too complicated, taking so many factors into consideration (or check in shiori or some app in my case cause I have the worst memory ever).

  22. if you could aim catalysts, bows are simply worse automatically. most bows are used with aiming, so they can deal elemental dmg. physical bows are rarely used.
but tighnari, with his insta-charged shots. is basically a catalyst that can aim. imagine doing that with klee. it would be game-changing indeed, but then yoimiya, for example, is very much downgraded, since she cannot aim her infused attacks.
i just think bows would become trashed. they both have a good and a bad thing: bow can aim, but takes long to do elemental dmg, catalyst can instantly do elemental dmg, but cannot aim.

which one do you treasure more? aiming, or dealing elemental dmg fast?

  23. Another thing Hoyoverse should add is being able to change what type of controls you are using.
For example: If you have a controller for a pc, so that you can go into the setting and choose to use a controller.
Also if you have a touch screen laptop like me, and you want to play with touch screen controls, that you can go into setting and choose to be able to use touch screen controls.
Idk if there is such a thing with PS, because i dont own a PS, but if there are such problems with a PS, please tell me in the replys so i can edit this comment!

  24. I mean yeah these would be nice but like these are very easily fixable issues with how you play like for example with the auto targeting and hilichurl tower, you can just stand behind the tower and you’ll attack it
