I think if you hand in the decoration one by one, you will get 1 new character interaction each time. Kinda weird how they did it this way not taking into account of players just handing everything in all at once.
As a completionist, and gameplay archivist, I was so pissed to have missed the Yae Miko encounter that has apparently gone un-noticeable by the majority of the player base because she show up at such a small window.
It seems that you have also missed the encounter as well.
