You gotta do scaramouche’s boss theme(s) now
To answer the questions I remember:
Boss fights in this game are not necessarily hours to fight, but they are significantly longer than your average fight. Or significantly shorter if you were unprepared…
You always fight with your whole party, although you do only have one active character at a time, if you play co-op you share party slots, so with one other player you have 2 each instead of 4.
You are definitely meant to be scared of La Singora. In the first phase, which just sounds creepy, she is basically toying with you. She barely moves, dropping massive icicles on you. At the end, she transforms into a massive ice cocoon. When you break it, she takes on the crimson witch form, her true form. A being of pure fire. Now she is pissed.
As to why she looks like a bug, the crimson witch has moth symbolism, not entirely sure why.
Have fun fighting her while you and everything around you is turned to ash.
Congrats, you started with one of the best Boss Themes. I don't want to spoil anything, best to find out yourself when you play the game, but La Signora is, um "COMPLICATED", in a good way.
I still remember fighting La Singora the first time, I was experiencing 10 different emotions, AT THE SAME TIME! Then I read up more on her backstory and Lore, then fought her again and felt 12 emotions simultaneously. Still one of the best Boss Fights and best Boss Themes.

The G is considered silent by most people in La Signora, kind of pronounced like "senora"
The boss fights in genshin can be as intense as ones in destiny or world of warcraft but very rarely last longer than 10 minutes. If people build their characters overly strong they last 2 seconds (lmao). But in general the first time you come across the bosses they are extremely hype and the boss theme usually indicates how long the first time should take you.
Also, for how they made it, yes they use an entire orchestra, they have one specifically for genshin and all of its music. Every track that I know of is made from the same orchestra.
Can't wait till he gets to childe's and the whale moment.

The boss's actual name pops up in the image at the transformation phase, Rosalyne. La Signora is her title in her organization.
The next theme will either need to be Azhdaha, Shouki no Kami (Scaramouche), or Raiden Shogun. These four are easily the pinnacle of Yu Peng Chen and Hoyomix's writing and composing abilities. Raiden's theme will be a good follow-up to this, and you'll see why when you hear it.

To answer some of your questions for game play: You can fight her solo or in co-op. It's pretty epic either way and she does transform mid-fight xD I remember wanting to just listen to the music when I first fought her in the story line.
You should listen to
Almighty Violet Thunder, Thunderings of the Merciless and Polumnia Omnia, those are banger tracks
When u get too deep into Genshin Music you'll start to realize that despite having such diversity, it's so subtly interconnected. You'll feel refreshing but still have that nostalgic feeling lingering in your mind. HoYo-MiX does a phenomenal job at writing/composing music.

One thing suprise me is that they mix metal rock with opera, like damn. I only heard opera with orchestra but this one is very special
it would definitely be very interesting to check out the lyrics for these as well! especially the signora ones reading the lyrics makes the experience so much more interesting and it would be very interesting for any future boss music to also watch the videos with lyrics 🙂

It’s a cutscene that involves traditional Chinese Opera with a modern twist in short terms but definitely one worth checking out
And a fun fact, Hoyoverse (the company behind Genshin Impact) has their own dedicated music studio called Hoyomix (which has their own playlists and such as well) Hence the reason why every single one of their tracks is so good

I personally think that her theme perfectly fits the vibes of the whole fight really well.
In the 1st phase it's simple but the whole room is slowly being overtaken with frost while you as well start freezing to death also while dodging icicles being thrown at you.
In the 2nd phase it's the exact opposite where the room is all being turned into smoldering remains while you are being burned alive and trying to scrabble out of the way of the flames.

From what I've heard, the anime is going to be set during the time of the Archon war, 500 years before current Teyvat. I don't think they'll be animating scenes in current Teyvat. Which I find to be exciting if that's the case. I'd like to see what Khaenri'ah was like instead of animating events that already happened in game.
You really should try Raiden Shogun Ei's Battle Theme (All Phases), it is incredible.
So according to the latest info the Anime is going to be set 500 years before the game starts and the animation style will be similar to Demon Slayer and Fate Zero.

for your question the boss fights only take a few minutes, transformation phase is a cutscene music for this one, La signora lore tidbit: she's from one of the antagonist group called Fatui and they have 11 harbingers at the top, La signora is the 8th of the Fatui harbingers and each of them is from a certain italian comedy, La signora's name means something like "the fair lady", as for the anime we don't have any info aside from it being animated by ufotable.

Her backstory is heart breaking😢
Before becoming La Signora, she was Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter, a young woman from Mondstadt (The starting area of the game.) Around 500 years ago she fell in love with a knight. After some time she left to study. While she was studying in the Sumeru Akademiya Rostam (the knight) died in a war agains monsters. As Rosalyne comes home to Mondstadt, she finds out about the fate of Rostam, leading to her insanity. After mourning, she decided to use “her life’s flame” to cleanse “the world’s crookedness,” becoming the Crimson Witch of Flame. She let liquid fire consume her, abandoning her mortal body. She only ever used her liquid fire to burn monsters and demons, but it gave her infamy amongst people and they started to fear her as the Crimson Witch of Flames.
4:33 Yes. Her and the other Fatui harbringers names are inspired by the “Commedia dell'arte”, which is a type of Italian Theatre play that was popular between the 16th and 18th century in Europe. Her name translates to The Fair Lady/The Lady😊
