    Thank God I'm not alone, he reminds me of Marik, in fact a lot of the Sumeru characters remind me of Yu-Gi-Oh characters. Candace is Ishizu, Dehya is Yugi (she has her own millennium puzzle looking pendent), and Alhaitham is Kaiba

  13. Adepti is similar to the concept of 仙人 in chinese folklore, so they're something like.. celestials? But not gods
    The concept is that mortals train and cultivate their souls to ascend to a higher form of being.. There's a lot of importance in being guided by a celestial on the path of cultivation because it's supposedly much better than trying to blindly seek the way themselves.

    Well, not sure how Adepti came to be in Genshin, but it seems they are borned like that already, but the motifs of 'seeking the adepti' and 'being trained by them' is the same

    1: If something crosses the line from Dori to her lamp, it inflicts electro dmg(I forget if it deals DMG)
    2: Her C2 lets the lamp attack dealing Electro DMG using 50% of Dori's max ATK ( effect activates when The lamp heals )

    I don't think it gives any buffs

  15. not that well, ganyu doesnt pair up with ayaka that well. Both being super dps characters, its not really ideal to have them both on the same team. best ayaka team needs one more cryo for resonance, and shenhe, rosaria and diona are prehaps the best options. Any other cryo would work too, but not that well.

Fun fact about Mona and Fischl's friendship: They first met during the Version 1.1 limited event Unreconciled Stars, and their friendship has progressed off-screen and in limited events from there. It's sad that newer players who weren't there for these events haven't gotten to see it, but yeah, these two didn't know each other in 1.0 and met in that event while the Adventurer's Guild was helping investigate meteorites that were magically putting people into comas.

    If you haven't seen the Unreconciled Stars story, you should. It was the first voice acted event in the game, and its story content is actually pretty significant. Not only that, but the limited events are canon in a way. Those of us who participated in Unreconciled Stars got altered dialogue in a certain Inazuma Archon Quest cutscene to acknowledge that we participated.

    11:54 "I know [Childe's] an asshole" Speaking as a Childe main/simp who has gone through his whole profile and dug into his lore, nah he's not necessarily an asshole. Beneath the abyssal corruption that makes him battle hungry, he's still a sweetheart who loves his family, and I think a lot of players would see him differently if he had gotten to become an adventurer like he wanted instead of being forcibly recruited into the Fatui by his father. He doesn't even get along with the other Harbingers, partially because he dislikes the way they do things by sneaking around in the shadows.

    And one thing I've noticed is that he is weirdly honest. There was an Inazuma event called Labyrinth Warriors, which had the interesting setup of having both Childe and Xinyan join us to investigate a strange domain that popped up. We got a scene early on where we could hear Childe and Paimon's thoughts. Childe recognized that Xinyan is from Liyue, understood what that meant about how she would view him if she knew what he did in Liyue, and still decided it was only right for him to tell her the truth about his identity. Buuut Paimon panicked and didn't want there to be conflict if Xinyan got mad, so just as Childe was trying to introduce himself, Paimon interrupted him and claimed he's an adventurer from Mondstadt.

    I could even get into the evidence that he doesn't kill people if it's not necessary. For example, it's specifically stated that the guards in the Golden House were unconscious, not dead, even though it would've tied up loose ends if he had killed them instead. He's into the thrill of the battle itself, not the feeling of killing people.

    I've heard Xinyan's country accent is because she uses a rural dialect in the Chinese voice overs. Either way, I like it because it fits her character theme of "don't judge a book by its cover." Her whole thing is that people keep judging her and making assumptions based on her appearance, but she's different than what they expect. You don't expect a punked out rocker chick to have a country accent, and that's the point.

    Albedo and Klee aren't really related. Basically, Albedo's mother, Rhinedottir, is good friends with Klee's mother, Alice, and when Rhinedottir had to leave to do something, she had Alice help Albedo get an alchemy lab to pursue the task she gave him of discovering "the truth of this world." Alice agreed to help if Albedo would help the Knights of Favonius look after Klee and act as Klee's big brother.

    Alice kinda has a habit of considering people to be her children, tbh. We learned in a limited event that she sees Diluc as being like a son to her because he was really kind to Klee despite Klee ruining part of his vineyard. She even sent him her condolences years ago when his father died tragically on his 18th birthday.

    I, too, ship Eula and Amber. They just have that vibe, and in the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event, Amber was a little too eager to take a bath with Eula for any straight explanation.

    It's implied that Thoma's name is actually Thomas, but Inazumans had trouble pronouncing it. That's why it's spelled Thoma and not Toma. It's like how the trader association NPC we helped in Ritou is called Kurisu, but his name is actually Chris.

    Edit: my bad you said you weren't caught up on quests. Yeah no. Not cousins

    Also, you do know those hand moves aren't exclusive to Naruto, right? 😒

    Edit: no, Yelan's dress back isn't a zipper. It's just trim. It's hard to get a decent look at in this trailer.

    Edit 2: as much as I love Kingdom Hearts (been playing since it released, when I was 12) it will Never happen. Unfortunately it's a Disney property and Genshin is more violent and not subtle with their dark plotlines. Disney would never okay one of their properties being a part of something like that.

I actually didn't plan to love her this much lol but when I got back to genshin it was her first banner on 2.0 so I pull once (10 pull) and get her immediately and the rest is history 😂 I was hoping her skin would be 5* but oh well ;-; (I'm an f2p so I just want to bought the 5* skin if I can help myself ahaha)

  33. Honestly I like her (Dehya) playstyle, if only her skill deal DMG overtime instead of on atk…. And if only her burst isn't technically one burst animation…. Would be nice for her burst like Cyno essential but yk still with the increase on interruption and such but oh well I guess that would be too good 😩 or yk? Just increase her multiplier 😶 I'll be fine with that as well… The thing is my artifact luck is so bad it's hard to make her actually have a decent DMG in the overworld ;-; I at least want to killed the overworld enemy with enough joy 😭

  34. I've lost quite a few 50/50s, but so far never to Qiqi. As of yesterday have officially failed to get Shenhe or Ayaka, to go with Dehya and Cyno(again). Do have Nahida, so some possibility of successfully getting Nilou or Baizhu. (Nilou would be a pain to learn the muscle memory for her stance system, since I favor dueling with a character more than constant switching, but is probably worth the effort. Baizhu – I just like the idea of playing "Orochimaru but good and with a sense of proportion, and a bit fruiter a voice.")

    About half of the Fatui are assholes, but Childe isn't one of them. (I'd also discount Signora, though that one's debatable – my argument is a lot of her worst personality traits come from a combination of living within her Delusion and having foreknowledge to be bitter about. Have also slowly grown more skeptical that I know what's been going on there.) Am still amazed he's friends with Yoimiya, not because there's anything odd about those two getting along, not even in that it means he can freely visit Inazuma (though that implies something else I don't know about), but in that the exact spot I found them talking appears to be a reference to a much earlier fan work (a Rawfler video).

    "Adepti" seems to be mostly a catchall term for the group of less than mortals in Liyue. I believe it was introduced by Rex Lapis, who basically got everybody together to do the work of carving room for human civilization out of the land in exchange for his ensuring that human civilization would respect them, their efforts, and their losses. The term's caught on over the millenia to the point it gets sometimes applied to those like Yanfei who haven't made contracts but look the part.

    Fairly sure Kokomi was referring to the whale AS shelter. A large predator approaching the whale will be seen by it as a threat. There are… a lot of problems with writing for Kokomi, and one of them is that it's hard to make her sound intelligent in every translation at the same time given that she rarely fully unpacks her sentences. (We think she's the reincarnation of a water dragon; it's definite that the ecology of Teyvat has diverged from plan to the extent that some major dragons will be reincarnating as humans, and Hydro's one of them. I'm hoping that she'll finally be able to leave her home alone for any period of time before we're done with Fontaine, since it's the most likely place to continue the hints of that storyline. I've failed entirely to get her for Fontaine, but I have Yanfei more or less ready, and now have Mona and some time to build her left.)

    Gorou shows his stomach because, well, dog, loyalty. It seems so far that in Inazuma it's a combination of a lot of Japanese youkai eventually reaching the ability to take a human form and thus able to interbreed with humans to the point where some nonhuman traits have just entered the gene pool. Something similar has happened in Sumeru – Tighnari gets his hair color from his human side (which is why he doesn't handle the desert well despite being descended from a species adapted to it).

    Since you haven't reached Sumeru and thus done the not-Pokemon tournament event in time, two of the contestants were Yae Miko and a pet novelist she brought for some inspiration on writing a sports series. She confided in me that the woman worked best in a near-hysteric state, and asked me (I main Lumine) to please utterly crush her in our match so she could turn the mixture of abject shame and forbidden arousal at being humiliated by a ruthless yet divinely gifted beautiful blonde foreigner into art. I am relatively (fanonically) sure Lumine ended up as a character in the resulting novel and that this somehow had something to do with Ayaka's later line about holding my sword. She and the rest of the literate Inazuman populace may now think Lumine just might have one. …Or she could have been referring to the umbrella youkai I used in the tournament, which seemed to appreciate the attention – as much as you can tell when it's basically leering at all times. Ayaka is probably just kinky in general. And I cannot deny every interaction I've had so far with Yae has ultimately left me at least a little better off. However, they have all done far more to entertain Yae at my expense, and she goes out of her way to avoid telling me important details.

    Failed to get Dehya, but I'm fine with her kit. Could use another tank regardless of how useful tanks are in this game. (I consider it less a flaw in the character and more a flaw in the variety of challenges the game currently presents.)

    Have you noticed it seems like about every Hydro vision is somehow connected to an ambition involving truth? Either revelation or deception?

    And I really don't want a Kingdom Hearts crossover, because that means dealing with Disney and they are very protective of their intellectual property. It could cause long-term issues with the final state of the game.
