i wanna name this guy "tekiou", because in japanese, tekiou means "to adapt" or "to change", and from what i've seen so far, hes undergone a shit ton of character development and it makes me really happy for him.

fun fact (though idk if anyone else have talked about this before): but the way wanderer lounges forward while in the air is the same as peregrine falcons when they dive into their prey. they're the fastest bird and animal as their speed can be compared to that of an airplaine, i believe. his constellation is also called peregrinus, so i believe that peregrinus and peregrine falcons are also a direct reference that hoyo used for his wanderer transition.
anddddd, most peregrine falcons vary from blue to bluish gray to dark grey.

They’re really ramping it up for Fandango man aren’t they? And to be honest he looks AMAZING, and the attention to detail as usual with Hoyoverse is insane, a lot of reoccurring elements coming back with a slight twist from the Raider Shogun’s demo. Sick demo. The callbacks to Kazuha and Ei's demos, the VAs (both EN and CN), were amazing. Everyone from Yu-Peng Chen and Patrick, and 鹿音kana to the animators knocked it out of the park. Can't wait to see what they come up with for Al-Haitham and Dehya.

Put another way, this pair of Fatui was wandering on a road and chanced upon what looked like a teenager. Having been ignored, they threaten the teen with physical harm and open fire when the teen asked if they were asking in jest. They absolutely deserved this beatdown. On Teyvat that is. Violence isn't the answer folks.

About nicknames for him…
I like to call him Aiwenil. I started looking at an online Elvish dictionary, because I’d grown interested in the language, and according to the dictionary, ‘aiwe’ can mean ‘small bird’, and the suffix ‘-nil’ can mean ‘friend’, in the Elvish dialects Quenya and Sindarin, respectively. If you combine these two, it wouldn’t mean ‘small bird friend’ exactly, but rather, it would be more as if ‘small bird’ was his name, and that you consider him your friend, at least to my understanding. I like it because of his apparent association with birds recently. The fact that he has aerial combat and that Ei’s bird shows up in this demo are some of the many things that tie him to birds.
So, yeah, I named this sassy menace ‘small bird, my friend’ in Elvish. Alternatively, we could just use the name for Ei's bird, seems to fit it more…
Anyway, it was fun to think about this, I do wonder what everyone will eventually end up calling him, if not one of his old names or Wanderer. I've seen some suggestions for Bongo-Head, so maybe we should just let Paimon name him!
