Im so happy they interacted for like 4 seconds I can sleep peacefully. Though this also makes me feel that Xiao and Venti will be playing a big rule this Lantern Rite, judging by how their backstorys are a bit connected, and of course this interaction. Reminds me of Xiao's namecard description where it says, "he wishes to hear the sound of the flute in a pool of flowers" maybe Xiao will finally be able to hear that flute again

it makes sense that Venti is here since Xiao overheard him playing the lyre made his karma subside
Zhongli is concerned for Xiao, but he acts more like a merciful boss to Xiao.
Venti, however, feels likes someone that's genuinely concerned for his well-being.
Venti seems to have real compassion for those he gave a vision, and it seems like he wants to free Xiao from his curse, but unlike the others, Xiao is bound by another archon, so Venti takes special interest in him. He may even fight Zhongli to break Xiao's contract one day.
Father/son? I think Zhongli takes the dad role for Xiao, or a master/boss role. Venti is something else, someone a little more special I feel. From this trailer and the calm/non surprised way Xiao acted towards Venti, this suggests that they know each other well, potentially drink together, and have more of a special bond compared to the professional one he has with Zhongli, or the respectful one he has with the Traveler. Idk, I think Venti is that one who genuinely cares the most about Xiao and is basically the one to keep his darkness at bay. Since we are seeing Xiao having tougher issues to face with himself, I feel Venti is there to really make an impact. What a special bond I feel like he has with Venti and no one else. I am excited for this Lantern Rite Festival!
