Also known as Gauge Unit Theory, we tackle this very dense and elaborate system that dictates the behavior of all Elemental Reactions in the Genshin Impact universe

  1. goddamnit i just wanna play a game, not to attend a class
jk, this is some good material
definitely not for starter but AR 40+ when player start optimizing things, build team farm materials, try some rotation combos
this is really helpful especially for getting max stars on abyss

  2. This is the easiest to understand video on elemental gauge theory i've ever seen. Awesome stuff. Better than all the stuff that came before. If there's a new player, I'm linking this video to them instead of others. haha

  3. Also worth mentioning the 'a', 'b' and 'c' decay rates. 'A' comes from 1U attacks, 'B'=2U & 'C'=4U. 'A' decays the slowest overtime with the other two decaying faster ('B' decaying slower than 'C' obviously). If you try starting with a 2U attack and reapply with a 1U attack, the 'B' type decay will only be refreshed and wont decay slower due to an 'A' decay application being utilised. This means applying a 1U attack four times will actually last longer than a single 4U attack. Although they will consume the same costs from reactions it is usually not relevant and in practice only has a split second difference. [[Random additional comments below]]

Sorry if this is a little hard to explain but thats the general gist of it and hope it gets pointed out somewhere or noticed. (Also fun side note there was actually an 8U attack source from using a skill in a limited event [supersense skill in day 5 of Fayz trials]) As always thanks for updating the new gauge unit theory with the introduction of dendro since I needed to be caught up with it. [[Edit note I also didn't realise that u missed out on this topic because of how long the vid was and I was about to ramble on about reaction limits but I'll leave this comment out anyways]]

  4. The visual gauges are very helpful. I hope you continue making videos for any game like this. They obviously require lots of effort to consolidate information, so thank you for putting in the time.

  5. Zhongli kinda « apply » geo since the geo symbol appear on foes after ultimate which make em unable to move, but we cant define this as an aura application since it only exist for zhongli

  6. Kinda random question but for dendro characters like nahida, does having crit substats on her matter? Does the frequency of max damage dendro reactions also depend on crit rate/crit damage?

  7. Holy this video is sooo good! As someone who finds joy in genshin theoryctafting, it's really nice to find someone explaining it a really informative, engaging, and relatively easy to understand!

  8. This might not be as an in depth topic as others but I was really curious as to how attack buffs work? People have figured out how Bennett and Sara scale with base attack but by how much exactly? How much bigger would Bennett's attack buff be with an Alley flash over a Skyward blade etc

  9. This is my favorite thing tbh
I dont play genshin but seeing people get to SUCH levels when talking about game mechanics it always takes my interest
Even if its a simple thing seeing it complexified with fandoms findings is just the best thing

  10. Fantastic explanation, especially the use of visuals to help demonstrate. I can only imagine how much work this was to make, so I want to give credit where it's due.

  11. That bar really helps in understanding the theory
I used to read the theory but it took me a while to understand what's written there, especially in regard of mutilple aura reactions

I'd like to see what you left here explained in future video

  12. Man I can't help but need someone make specified video about quickbloom. It's the most confusing comp to understand. It doesn't really matter when we're using slow hydro apply. But now Alhaitham, it can't be help but need to use fast hydro applier like yelan, and especially xq who provide interupt resistance to protect him from ruining Alhaitham combo.

At least thanks for this video I got a little bit idea what happen.

  13. Simultaneous auras with reaction priority is also why Fridge/Hyperfridge teams are a thing. Dendro + Cryo can both be auras at the same time. When hydro is applied on the target with both, freeze gets the priority first, and thanks to the aura tax and the fact that freeze's coefficient is 1, if your cryo and hydro sources are the same gauge, the cryo will "shield" some of the dendro aura but let a little hydro leak through, which lets less hydro react with the underlying dendro. This can let you squeeze an extra bloom core out of the same amount of dendro application.
