  1. Any corrections and/or additional info will be added to this comment! (P.S. Thank you to those who told me about the new lore in yesterday’s livestream! ❤️)

    • It's insinuated that Remus is the first usurper, and the Primordial One is the one who gave him a goblet of dew that Remus used later on to support his civilization.

  2. Also Vol 3 talked about the present day (present for the writer of the book series, I mean), which talked about the rise of Egeria, the Noble Navigator, as the Hydro Archon.

The name Egeria itself is a reference of a legendary nymph that was said to serve Numa Pompilius, the 2nd king of ancient Rome. Obviously we know Remus (and Romulus) were the twins that made Rome, which ended up with Remus being killed by Romulus.
So this is just a nod that Egeria (alr being referred as a Nymph, in the artifact set the Nymph's Dream) was a Nymph who served Remus one way or another. In Roman lore, Egeria was King Pompilius' council and semi co-ruler as she acted as a link to the other gods.
Egeria in Roman lore died the same was as Egeria of Genshin: she turned into a body of water. In Roman lore: it's in grief to Numa Pompilius's death, which was meant as an insinuating bait that those 2 were more than just king and counsel.
I don't know how much did Genshin adapt, but considering how the author of the book series mentioned that Egeria united the area around Fontaine in merely 100 years from Remuria's fall (a very short time for Genshin lore), and she settled the conflict between the tribes, preventing the people from falling to barbarism, this just heavily suggest that Egeria was involved in some capacity to Remus' reign.

  3. Maybe the traveller will connect us to the rest of the honkaiverse at the end. Afterall mihoyo did confirm that genshin exists in the honkaiverse, a leaf of the imaginary tree

  4. So the people got bored of living in peace and prosperity so they ignored all wornings and rebiled against heaven, and after a great king give them powers they used said powers against said king, yup thoes people don't deserve sympathy, they got what they deserve, I hate it when people literally get everything they ever wanted, yet they bate the hand that feeds them, and try to fly to the sun even after everyone told them it's a bad idea

  5. Actually we can confer the fate of Remuria to the actions of other civilizations around this period.
we don't know the exact timing, but:
    1) We know Remuria was established some time after the rise and fall of Gurabad, and the flooding of the Guili Assembly (which means it's after 3700 BA. BA = Before Ascension, or you can just call it Before Aether, if that is too complicated).

    2) We know Zhongli had a difficult time moving the humans down from the mountains and the guili plains to the harbor that now is Liyue. He was mostly aided by the junior adeptus such as Ganyu and Guoba, and the Yakshas. The other senior adeptus chose to went up on the mountains, instead. The God of Salt chose to lock her people inside her realm.

    3) This was also around the time when the war between Decarabian and Andrius was on its height. At the time Decarabian built a storm to shield against Andrius's eternal blizzard. But even after Andrius's demise, he still didn't put the shield away.
    4) Vice versa: Andrius chose to die so that the forest may grow and his people may live. This wasn't an issue before, but say: there were survivors from Fontaine area migrating to Andrius' territory, it might necessitate the end of the eternal blizzard.
    5) We know what happened after that. The war in Mondstadt seemed to be implied to be the last to conclude among the Archon War, and it concluded around 2600 BA with the coup and death of Decarabian.

    6) and then there's Inazuma, chilling with their monster issues and the repatriation of the Enkanomiya's people to the surface again (which just turned into a colonization, bcs of the Orobashi incident).
The timing of Watatsumi revival was never mentioned in detail, but if we just assume Remus was sent down there to rework the civilization, it might have been a collective effort by the Shades to rebuild the 1st civ (the rumor of the existence of Khaenri'ah also started around this time).

    7. We never got a time for Nabu Malikata's death. Lots of theories have tried to confer, but I fail to see a convincing one. But I do know that at this time, the Vorukasha Oasis did not exist. Instead it was the outpost of King Deshret, known as the Molten Iron Fortress (which center is now the domain we farm for artifact). This was a border town, but also a prosperous town made by iron and bronze. The area that was Vorukasha was still submerged under water, as they actually put a lot of details regarding the differences between the desert area of Deshret, and the Vorukasha Oasis' rocks and stone.
Notice the importance of naming the place "iron", as opposed to Remus' extensive use of the word "Golden".
By this time, Deshret was already deep into his forbidden knowledge study and his intention to rebel against Celestia was already known.

To me, it just looks like the Archons actually shared the opinion that Celestia is the source of the problem. Venti is the only one playing neutral, and that's why the Fatui had to play rough with him. This also explains why the witches went to Mondstadt, and sent their precious ones to Mondstadt for protection.

  6. Warning! This is more Ramblings than it is a Theory. … you have been warned!

There is a weird … pattern in destroyed civilizations. The one thing that this civilization strives for, is usually the one that ends up nearly destroying it.
    Deshret’s was knowledge.
    Remus’s was Harmony.
Sal Vindagnyr’s was Divinity. (Might be stretching it with that one.)
    Khaenri’ah’s was Humanity.
    Seelie Kingdom’s was Humans.
Old Mondstadt’s was Aristocracy (maybe? We don’t know Decarabian’s motives)
    Enkanomiya’s was the Sun.
… the Seven Nations’ is the Seven Ideals’???

… I might be looking too deeply for a pattern, or maybe there is indeed a pattern that is just so … weirdly hypocritical?
It kind of reminds me of a quote from Pablo Picasso, “Every act of creation begins with an act of destruction”.
And the fact that the weapon ascension material, Echo of the Ancient Chord, has a line that says “and all returned to chaos.” is only confirming that there is some weird Destruction and Creation Samsara Loop thing going on, and I have no idea how to even begin wrapping my mind around all of that. I’m worried that the World Formula that … the one guy whose name I can’t remember right now … made, also supports this Samsara monstrosity that endangers all Civilizations. … and now I’m getting very suspicious about the Arkhe Annihilation Reaction, which I am very positive was created by the Hydro Gnosis, which would mean that Fontaine will be experiencing the Samsara Monstrosity since it is a Civilization that strives for Justice.

Honestly, with all of my ramblings done, I hope that I am completely wrong to worry about any of that … because if it is something that is confirmed, and I do indeed need to worry about it … I’m going to need to sleep for a day to recover my mentality.

  7. Another interesting thing to mention is that a Melusine who has special sight describes the Traveler as something like a monster poised to eat the world. And Nahida's mention of Samsara sounds very similar to Rene's World Formula. The World Formula is a concept that Rene constructed based off multiple tests, where his formula is that civilizations will rise and fall until one fateful day where everything ends with no life to come. He also says that the waters that create life(probably the Primordial Sea) will dry up, and then "the world will look like what it does before us", most likely referring to a giant flood as this would be around the time the Narzissenkreuz Institute just flooded as well as many other parts of Fontaine, and perhaps many other bad things will happen as well. Maybe this is the fate that the Traveler must save the world from, changing Teyvat's fate so that all life on Teyvat doesn't end

  8. Enkanomiya got manta ray haha
I predict primordial sea is located at Enkanomiya.

As Enkanomiya is Greek mythology influence.

    Where fontaine is Roman Mythology.
    In history.

Some Greek god and goddess are link to Roman god and goddess.

    Eg Aphrodite(Greek) as Venus(Roman)

Pneuma and Ousia is present in Enkanomiya. (the on and off light thing)

    Chronologically

Enkanomiya>Fontaine (old hydro Archon)>Fontaine (new hydro Archon)

  9. Well done very impressive Just remember that we know what the victorious side wrote about that period of time we do not know directly from a Seele for instance which would suggest there stories about the war may be very different, This becomes complicated because we know actual texts were changed when Rukkhadevata was erased and people no longer have any memory at all of her ever existing.

  10. I don't get any impression that Remus is anything special. Just another god who was around during the Archon wars, was looking good for a while but ultimately failed. So; like Deshret or Guizhong or Decarabian or Orobashi who fill that role in the other four nations. No doubt we will get similar names for the last two nations some day. As for a specific date he is later than Deshret's Gurabad but it's not clear about whether he's before Zhongli/Guizhong's Guili assembly. He's after some civilization around Liyue but that could be one of the now ruined civilizations of Lisha or Minlin, such as Dunyu, Lingju, Qingxu or Tianqiu. So anyway Remus dies and is replaced by Egeria who later becomes the Archon around 2000-2500 years ago. It feels like these god-run human kingdoms in Fontaine don't last that long, so to split the difference maybe the historian refers to Guili (and not the even later Liyue Harbor civilization) and Remus founded Remuria only around 4000 years ago. It seems like he can't have lasted even a mere 2000 years or the Egerian era scholar couldn't mock it for arrogance of thinking it could last 2000 years, which isn't really very long at all as these things go, though we may allow that lasting in the era of the Gnoses is a lot easier so maybe don't count that.

Actually outside of Archons we don't know much about the duration of human kingdoms. Maybe 2000 is a lot. Enkanomiya seemed to have beat that easily, as did Khaenri'ah. However if Khaenri'ah had a dynasty system then any given dynasty might have lasted shorter times. As for Enkanomiya we don't get much suggestion of political instability beyond the Sunchild vs Aberaku cultists stuff, and then it's plain sailing by Orobashi. Possibly the constant external threat of Vishaps reduced rebellion? Perhaps we're just meant to vaguely imagine a bunch more minor gods doing battle over the ages in the seven nations.

  11. I feel like we‘ll get to know more about this exact topic in Fontaine? In the Mitternachts Walz (Fischls marketed weapon) there’s a dialogue between (og?) Fischl and Ozvaldo where they talk about the “sins of the people born to this world“ and how “when the clock sounds judgement will fall upon them“ and the “skirts of the night“ descending once more (very much travail trailer -esque)… also a lot of talk about the three moons and the primordial sea, and possibly the three realms ….. it really feels like some serious stuff will GO DOWN this patch and I‘m here for it! Also, the weapon description might be the first time I’ve read about the Reman republic falling!
    Great video, thanks a lot!🙌
I’m having a lot of brain worms about this specific lore bit lately since I’ve made some research about childe‘s possible involvement with all of this and I’m just producing lots of crack in my mind… but now I can’t stop thinking about this stupid weapon lore and I’m glad I’ve found more info here!! It really feels like a mystery game from the perspective of lore people at this point huh😂

  13. 3:19 now that I think of it: the Lunar Chain is all 3 symbols.

    – Top: Star of Ishtar(oth)
    – Middle: the Crescent Moon, the symbol of Sin (Nanna), god of the moon.
    – I don't know what the bottom is. can be a goblet. or can be a solar disk. can be an egg. can be a seed.

Just a matter of finding the right reference in-game, now.

  14. Thank you for the video! Actually, one of the Knights in the Chasm called the Traveller the Calamity. Also, one of Melusines says that the Traveller looks like a monster that can eat the world (in Melusines' unique view). I think, that actually means that the Traveller is going to do something really game-changing, whether to the good or to the bad, is still unknown.

  15. The fact about the traveler being the calamity or the possibility of destroying a world, it reminds me of the MC in Honkai star rail that has in his body the stellaron…and we know that the stellaron is something really dangerous and catastrophic…and something that can destroy everything…this is just a guess..
