  1. one thing that bothered me is that Paimon is one of her kind; there's no one like her anywhere in Teyvat.. but when people see/meet Traveler and Paimon, they only focus on Traveler (because Aether/Lumine dressed differently).. sure Albedo asked what is Paimon, but no one in Teyvat asked where she came from, even Traveler (assumed) think Paimon came from Teyvat.. is there a place where species like Paimon exist there.. it bothers me a lot that no one like "ooooh! a flying crreature!" but no.. they looked a Paimon as if they saw a normal child.

  2. Of course paimon is a fairy…. Her design screams Celtic fairy everything from her fair hair and eyes which is why they are called fairy’s it comes from the term “Fair folk” – “Tylwyth Teg” which is what the welsh people would call them and describe them as in old folklore, also paimons costume is covered in Celtic symbols

  3. Some people think she’s the primordial one that got Guabafied. Or that she’s a seelie. Or that she’s specifically the seelie that fell in love with an outlander and had her memory wiped. Either way she doesn’t know her past. Knows a lot about tevat and the whole tekeportion thing. She’s joked about being a god. Who knows.

  4. 5:35 I think it should be safe to say that this is wrong after Act V of Fontaine Archon Quest.. Descenders have a very high affinity with elements, that their remains can be used to create Gnosis. And MC is a Descender..

  5. for the upside down world i think is true since when i just came back to genshin. paimon send us an email of welcome and it said this: Teyvat is a fantasy world where the seven elements flow and converge.

In the distant past, the Archons granted mortals unique elemental

abilities. With the help of such powers, people formed a bountiful homeland out of the wilderness. However, 500 years ago, the collapse of an ancient civilization

turned the universe upside down… Though the calamity the world suffered has ceased, peace has yet to be restored.

upside down can mean just peace flip to chaos but the choice of word is interesting

  6. 6:40 So, the theory that Teyvat is upside down isn't necessary when you add the fact that Genshin is in the same universe as the other Hoyo games, especially Honkai Impact 3rd, where there's concepts called the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta.

Basically: Imaginary Tree is where the "living" and "thriving" universes exist as if leaves on a infinite tree, worlds that still wasn't destroyed and are still passing the test of the big filter. The Sea of Quanta is where lies the universes that either ended, got destroyed or tried to hide from the big filter to not get destroyed.

If a universe gets destroyed when passing through the big filter, they fall from the tree and go to the Sea of Quanta and get dissolved over time, with fragments of it (or the universes as a whole) being called "Bubble Worlds".

The "big filter" that I mentioned before is the Honkai, a force of nature that exists all across the Imaginary Tree (in other words: the whole multiverse) and manifests itself in many different forms (especially because it is "imaginary" in nature). But, the force that dissolves the universes on the Sea of Quanta is still to be named, although there are monsters that are called "Quantum Monsters" and attack some Bubble Worlds and destroy them.

The thing is that the Sea and the Tree are both sentient in some manner snd are trying to absorb one another. The Tree wants to drink the whole Sea dry, while the Sea wants to swallow the Tree and if that happened, it would fuck the whole multiverse. That's why the Honkai exists and tests the universes, so they can prove they are worthy of keep existing or just become part of the cycle of the multiverse (what you may call the Samsara) and serve as material for new universes to be born.

Where do I think that Teyvat is? My bet is on the Sea of Quanta, because there are many quotes about Teyvat being a world on hiding, the name means "Arc" in Hebrew, the fact that the management doesn't like imigrants at all (fucking racist colonialists, a joke that 2 people will get) and the fact that the Abyss creatures doesn't seem much like Honkai Beasts. I mean, the moon doesn't seem to be a giant Herrscher Core too (yes it is a thing)… Probably it is either a Bubble World hiding from the Honkai (and suffering with Quantum Monsters) or it is a world trying to hide from the Honkai through other means.

  7. Im all in on the " paimon is the heavenly principles" theory, basically the theory goes that the heavenly principles pulled a guoba/rukkhadevata and lost her power/size/intelligence/memories and because she doesnt know shes the heavenly principles whenever something happens that the heavenly principles should react to and nothing happens it would now make sense since paimon doesnt realise that she should be doing something about it, like at the end of act v of Fontaine archon quest, the heavenly principles really shouldnt be silent at the hydro archons divine throne being destroyed and the hydro sovereign regaining his full power.

  8. But then in the recent and current event piamon is to play a fantasy and just goes to on claiming she is a goddess.
What if hoyo is dropping details now?
I actually think she could be a seelie. As commented elsewhere now that ive seens ventis constellation the wing shape matches her cape. But if shes actually a goddess she could be time forgotten or one of the moon sisters in my opinion.

  9. So what is fairy in Genshin? That should be the question.
The closest thing to a fairy in Genshin… is a seelie, no? and their whole moon sisters relation.

I myself am on the opinion that Paimon is a Moon Sister. The 4th one (so not one of the 3). And no she's not some lost moon sister or something. Paimon is something that happened because we are awoken in Tevyat, as the 4th descender. I'm on the crack that all Moon Sisters only exist/existed when someone/something becomes a Descender in Tevyat.

  10. Oke proof that paimon will never be a antagonist : every year paimon will have their birthday art.

Then, all protagonist (playable characters) will have their birthday art/post every year as well.

  11. Tbh I think it’d be extremely lame if Paimon was Phanes. I hate that theory. I think that Paimon is the last Seelie, or that she is a some sort of construct of Celestia that is guiding the traveler to the throne, or to the travelers death, (aka third descender) the same way that BenBen guided us to Deseret’s Throne.

  12. I'm pretty sure there are several mentions of her being likened to a fairy. The main problem that I have is that, depending on your interpretation, "fairy" (or rather "faerie") may be as exclusive as "yokai", and can refer to a very wide array of magical spirits including those not just from Celtic mythology. That said, the fairies that most people think of when hearing the term are generally based on the Celtic sidhe and seelie/unseelie.

  13. I don't give any significance to us players being able to move in-game time forward. Given we always use it when we're asked to wait till certain time certain number of days in the future, to me it represents just fast forward through time we spend doing nothing.

  14. Extremely loose connection but isn’t weird how paimon says how the 3rd descender and the traveler are similar because they can both use elemental power without a vision. But in the character voice line about storing weapons paimon asks how do you make your weapon disappear and traveler asks how do you disappear and reappear? Paimon says she could always do that but doesn’t know how and the traveler responds “I believe that the art of putting my weapon away follows the same principle”
Now I’m not saying they’re the same as in the 3rd descender and the traveler but I think this implies a very loose connection that wherever paimon is from/whatever created her, followed or used the same principles in creating the traveler

  15. I'm fairly certain that she's the daughter of the seelie queen sent to tyvatt to help guide the travler and seelies as they are now are a transformed people who guide others to treasure and float around like fairies only going off their base inticts. Paimon would be closer to how the seelie should be and it was all a part of a plan to resolve the samsara of tyvatt as it's been through many cycles repeating and changing slightly in each iteration to reach the conclusive end to the current way it's being manipulated.

  16. Everything very close to Paimon be like Elysia from Hi3rd. She copy of her E.L.F., but just other color and different voice actor. In Elysian Realm she give Signets that give to hero of this chapters part of power of other Elysia's comrads. Hmm… I only now think about new theory – what if real Teyvat already destroyed and MC just in simulation like in Elysian Realm? Confirmed fact – devs basic idea for creation of Genshin impact was – Samsara.

  17. In the current event quest with Freminette, Paimon is referred as “Goddess “, ofc we must consider that it’s fantasy and made up in a story but the entire story kinda reminded me of travelers journey so far, so it might have a connection even if just a little, we know mihoyo doesn’t include just anything without a reason 🤷‍♀️
