The novel is call " journey to the west" of by the way the weapon the monkey got from the dragon king was stolen, its a safty pin for the sea went say monkey remove it it cost the ice age to end and drown the earth . Monkey did now found out he kill most of earth population till later and why a lot of gods is piss at him

  2. Harbingers' origin:
    Confirmed:
    Tartaglia: Snezhnaya
    Signora: Mondstadt
    Scaramouche: Inazuma
    Very likely:
Pierro: Khaenri'ah (his star-pupil basically gives his origin away but since it wasn't explicitly stated, I'll keep him here)
Pulcinella: Snezhnaya (as the featured character of Snezhnaya chapter appearing in Travail, he has a really high chance of coming from the nation)
Dottore: Sumeru (the name Zandik sounds Sumerian enough, unless it's a pseudonym)
Pantalone: Liyue (he shares similar view on money with Zhongli, the god of Mora himself, also the way he says "in the name of money, I shall uphold our contract" sounds very fitting for someone hail from the land of contract)
    Barely any info:
Sandrone (though many think she's Fontaine due to her attire and her steampunk Big Robot, we know too little to say for sure)
Capitano (many think he's Natlan due to reason stated by Ashikai, plus the fact that Capitano in commedia del'art represents a Spaniard, while Natlan has some Spanish element to it in addition of its Native Americanand African aspects, but in the end, we barely know anything)
    Arlecchino
    Columbina

  3. hmm I can't get behind this theory just yet. the link between the 2 characters still feels too weak. I'll keep it in mind so if one day, we learn more about the harbingers, something might come up that can finally convince me.

also, disagree with the VA change thing. true, voice actors are changed when the character grows up. but menogias already looks like a grown up. when a character somehow changes physical form, their voice are usually only edited to fit the new character design. that, or if the VA is skilled enough, they can change their own tone when voicing for said character. so at this point, there wouldn't be a reason to change VAs unless of course Menogias' VA refuses the Capitano role or there would be scheduling conflicts or just some other reason why he can't play. But even then, the whole theory still feels like a stretch

  4. Bran there's a really great series on YouTube from Overly Sarcastic Productions (OSP) chronicling Sun Wukong's story in Jouney to the West!!! I would highly recommend, Wukong is one of my favorite mythological deities 😂 lil guy is just a meme

  5. childe being undead is a popular theory because hes the only character with no light in his eyes and what happened to him in the abyss was unclear and caused such a drastic change in instincts/abilities/personality that he may as well have died and been revived (to be a host for the foul legacy, for example).

as for signora, i assume ashikai was referring to the fact that she was undead before her death in inazuma, as she was intially human i believe but would have been over 500yo by now.

  6. Oh~my~heavenly~principle, Ashika actually summed WuKong's story not bad.
BTW, for our western friends, if you are interested in WuKong and also like action RPG, you can go to check out an upcoming game called Black Myth: Wukong. Some really sick work-in-progress footages are on YouTube. It is no doubt one of the coolest games which hugely base on WuKong's story and Chinese culture.

  7. We actually DO more or less know where most of the harbingers are from, in no particular order being:
    Pierro: Khaenri’ah
    Signora: Mondstadt
    Childe: Snezhnaya
    Arlecchino: Fontaine
    Dottore: Sumeru
    Scaramouche: Inazuma
    Pantalone: Liyue

The ones still in question atm are Sandrone (I think Fontaine due to her mechanical knowledge) Capitano (possibly Menogias according to this video??) Pulcinella (I’d say Snezhnaya but he seems to be the same race as Klee, so who knows,) and Damselette (literally no clue given her seraphic motifs.)

  8. I'm very surprised bran has never heard of Son Wukong before or his story because as Ashikai said at the start of the video he has been a major inspiration for the popular Shonen characters of Goku Naruto and Luffy also bran you forgot that as we met all the harbingers they each wore the big ass harbinger coat so we don't know what they actually wear and seeing as Capitano wears a helmet he probably wears a full set of armor personally I really believe this theory because once you play genshin long enough it teaches you that every little thing you can get interested in isn't just a coincidence to something else ok final edit I feel like with how well done Xiao's character was in the second archon interlude chapter Hoyoverse can build from this and do a really well done Xiao and Capitano confronation

  9. Ok so i get a feeling Ashikai is western and i'm too but lets get to Babylonian/Persian Times and get the Heroes of Heroes GILGAMESH into the mix, now his stories are just as ridiculous as Sun Wukongs in my opinion… ^^

  10. Im sorry but it really is a stretch right now. Xiao picking stone is bosacius stone? And menogias dies leaving stone too? But what about the other yakshas? Are they not leaving stones too and somehow resurrected too? Id say that the girl who singing at signora funeral is more like bananas girl. I don't care how. They just look similar… How about that?

  11. Imagine it was actually Menogias but its just that he forgots every memories he had while he was still a yaksha and then he met Xiao and manages to convince him and makes him remember his yaksha past? then because of that Capitano now is Menogias again? Then Childe vs Menogias will be a great battle because Childe says that he wanted to show Capitano what he is capable of. That will be childe's opportunity.

  12. the only issue i have with these speculations is the idea of "equal representation" as if there is suppose to be one of each nation represented in the harbingers..
think archons for example.. there is 5 females two males
there is no reason why most cant be spear users right.. i remember before EI was revealed.. people assumed she wouldnt have a spear because we already have an archon with a spear and people were upset started pushing the idea there needs to be "equal representation" of weapons not "repeats"

so to me the idea that a harbingers might or must have one representive of each nation.. its not supported nor nessicary in my eyes..
majority might just be from snexyhia..also teyvat does have a history of other cities that were independent of the 7nations

example Sal Vindagnyr.. which is now current dragonspine and part of mondstadt . it wasnt always part of mondstadt..
some of the harbingers could indeed be from or at least descented from kindgoms no longer around..

we know that some nations have mutlple different ethnic groups..
example sumeru's erimites are literally part of another nation that was destoried yet the persist on IN SUMERU as part of sumeru population butt ethinically are a different group..
some of the harbingers could be from any one of these dozens of groups dotted thru out teyvat..

or consider in liyue.. people of the salt god still exist and simply intergrated into liyue under rex lapis who took them in…
i notice when we had interactions with some of these groups.. they seem to take pride more so in their background then the current nation they are now part of..

this is my grip with using representation of each nation … im not at all convinced that has to or needs to be the case…

  13. Bran, talking about Honkai, I missed your last stream so know writing this here. You don't need to read manga, it actually even spoils you on stuff that will be shown in game story. BUT you can read it after completing game story.
Also Kiana's battlesuit that you used is free battlesuit, BUT you need unlock it, which took a bit long pass. But you can unlock skill set pretty easy, and just buy from shop simmilar outfit(it wouldn't cost gems, just some random stuff that you already have). Also Kiana didn't use the sword. she used Spears that use Hersher of the Void but in close combat.

  14. Sun Wukong is really a famous legendary Chinese character and powerful at that. I'm shock that Bran didn't know him. In western they prefer him as Monkey King and we often sees him in different games as well. The movie series of it are also good tho I haven't watched the latest one. It's amazing how ashikai came up with this but truthfully the theory is still weak.

  15. Son wu kong is as popular as romeo and juliet as in the west for east and south east asia. I learn it in class and everyone knows about this novel so yeah he’s pretty influential.

Yeah she sum it down a lot, the story it self is pretty long and she did a good job summing it down.
