He's not as bad as people are making him out to be already BUT it is terribly scummy of Hoyoverse to lock something that should've been base kit behind a constellation. Wrio feels bad and like there are better options because of that but we will see, when he gets a personal support to back him if he's truly good. It's like a weirder Hu Tao. They both have cancels as their gameplay but Hu Tao wins because she's 1. Pyro 2. Her base kit is insane enough to make up for it and Wrio's just fucked by his makeshift C0 passive.
The people from r/Wriothesleymains have discovered that he doesn't need to keep his health on 50-60% threshold. The gracious rebuke aura won't disappear if he got healed by external source, meaning he only need to drop below 60% to trigger the passive and use it whenever.

I'm passing on wriothesley, but I do want to say he has one of most impactful bursts in the game. So much energy and oomph…. If you get a good melt crit, it will feel soo satisfying.

Im gonna be honest, im a little conflicted about Wriothesley. While his personal dmg is nothing to scoff at, it’s not the greatest. I was fortunate enough to get his c1 but it sucks that his c1 benefits him a lot despite being locked behind a constellation. Im still in the process of building him and he is a newer character so i’ll give him that. Although it’s sad to think that they built him this way because future characters, most likely 5 stars, will boost him a lot better then some of the current ones. The hype for this character was big, but I really think they did him dirty. With the hydro archon being announced, people decided to skip him for furina, and people posting videos about his dmg, which for what i’ve seen is that he’s a decent character with constellation to improve him and overall an okay character, the hype died real quick. Wriothesley could of made him an amazing character seeing as he is the first crying catalyst but overall reviews say otherwise. My personal take on him, and from what i’ve seen, is that if you want him for the sake of just wanting him and his fun play style, go for it. If you’re more of a meta player who wants big dmg, he might be a skip for you. All that being said, he is still relatively new so who knows what might happen in the near future with new supports and characters coming out

I agree his C0 does feel a bit clunky, it's very similar to HuTao where it helps with stamina.
