One interesting thing is that this song has five versions, the two French versions are presented by a French Juliet and a Chinese Romeo. However, this song is not only about the lover, but the sacrifice of the girl who chooses to change back to water to save her love and country. And Funina, the character who song it, separates herself into a human and a half-goddess to save her people. The girl keeps the secret and pretend a goddess for 500 years, and the half-goddess hide in the law machine to enough save energy to kill herself and convey her power to the water dragon to save her people.

As a French and Furina being one of my favourite characters of the game, I almost teared up when she started singing, what a way to showcase Fontaine
As a musician I'm impressed by the Hoyomix team to nail the French style pieces/songs, they keep delivering even after Yu Peng Chen's departure. They surely have spent countless hours researching the "formula" for each region's music.. melodies, arrangement, orchestration.. what a team!
I'm mainly a classical musician now but I have exposed myself to various type of world music (so much amazing stuff out there but so little time I have! ðŸ˜), so this just makes me appreciate Hoyomix team and the composers even more.

i gotta say, i really didnt like how paimon and the traveler handled her quest. after the impact of being thrown under the bus and suffering for 500 years she is then pushed past her boundaries waaaaay to soon. yes the ending does have her in better spirits, now able to perform as herself instead of just an act, but putting so much pressure on her after all of the things we did to her without even a sorry wasnt good. i do love how beauty the song and furina is in the ending

Hey Marco, I heard that the name of each Furina's constellation is a reference to an Opera, will you tell us more about them? I think it'd make a good video material.
You know why many people can relate to her? Cos deep inside we have secrets too heavy to convey to another person being. And the weight of carrying it all alone, really takes toll on you. At some point we have something similar to Furina. Just that my opinion.

The lyrics are so peaceful, beautiful, gentle, and solemn, while having a tinge of sadness. So short, yet such a masterpiece bloomed within that time.
