Zen Buddhism references in his design (that I know of):
– His description confirms the overall design is of a wandering monk (Komusou).
– Wandering monks are known for playing the Shakuhachi (bamboo flute) which is the main instrument for his themes.
– Ensou (Zen circle) shown at 3:42. It symbolises many things: enlightenment, strength, harmony, the void, imperfection, the circle of life, infinity.
– The hat is obviously the Lotus Flower. Raising from the mud, from the murky parts of life towards ascension and enlightenment.
– His weapon is in the shape of the Buddhist Bell, which promotes peace and calmness of mind. Same with his blue-white color scheme. You can hear a bell chime after the Ensou appears, a very nice touch in the track.
Man, chars with Japanese references are always so good.

6:30 you’ll find out at the end of the Inazuma archon quest. At the very end you can talk to yae miko and there’s multiple questions you can ask her about a variety of different things. Yae mentions scaramouche in one of the options but I’m not sure I remember which one being as I did that quest a year ago. But it’ll give you A LOT of info abt scara lore wise that everyone needs to know !!

Not sure, but I don’t think there’s piano in this music. Or at least at the beginning. It sounds like a Guzheng or Koto— string instrument with 8-21 strings that’s plucked. Either way, such a sweet track!
