  1. Been playing genshin since day 1 and never really felt bored of it yet. Im still free to play and don’t ever plan on spending money on it. Here are some thing id like to share.

There are no bad characters in genshin don’t listen to tier lists. Every character can be built to be great so just use whoever you want.
The pity system is a bit more generous if you know what your doing.
The pity is really 80 not 90 of you do 10 pulls. From what i seen if your pull falls between the 80-90 mark it will force it. I have never had to go to 90. Also the pity count is shared between banners of the same type. Limited character banners, weapon banner and the standard. And character banner have a second pity system where the chance of pulling the character is 50/50 if you fail this the next 5* pull is guaranteed to be the character for that or any future banner you do. That being said i have only failed the 50/50 once in all the time i been playing so maybe I’m just lucky or something

  2. if u r f2p u get around 8000 primos each update (around 40days). which means around 50 wishes. and that is events only and dailies. if u add that 5 bucks welkin to it it would be around 11000. no exploration included. each region has around 100-200 wishes worth of primo just from exploration

  3. Excellent review. I would be interested… but the lack of character customization makes it a solid "pass" for me. Tower of Fantasy lets me play as a dark-skinned mc, so why not Genshin Impact? That's bonkers and a real lack of foresight for the developers in my eyes. Maybe when/if they patch that in I'll give Genshin Impact a go.

  4. Wow was not expecting this review but imo I think the game is really fun, been playing it since 2020 release and yes it can be confusing or feel a bit to grindy and the enemies can be really tanky. Building you character is a lot more difficult because it’s not just about the level or weapon u also need to get artifact sets that match your team synergy and upgrade your characters talents. I highly recommend to all new players to look up some guides for new players and character/ team builds for characters u have. The game opens up a lot more there’s so much more content right now than the 1st 2 areas and alot more enemy variety. It’s good not to over play and stress yourself out take breaks. I took a few months off and now I’m having so much fun in 2 new areas named The Chasm and Sumeru the new region. The game is very grindy to get to end game but I think it’s worth it. Oh and there is so many ways to get premogems in game my friend is free to play aside from buying 2 battle passes and he has so many good 4/5 star characters and weapons. When u explore and open chest and do certain quest u get a lot of premogems like a lot over time and another big way is through limited time events but sadly most are for higher level people so start grinding. Hope new players enjoy this game and don’t take it to serious please be cautious on spending money the only things I would ever recommend if u get into game is BATTLEPASS and or welcon moon which is $5 US (you get primogems for 30 days every time u log on). Thanks for anyone who read this and enjoy ur day/ night

  5. I literally blinked when I saw this video. Was not expecting to see one of my favorite Bioware creators make a video about this game XD. Just wanted to say tho don't listen to Genshin Impact tier lists ever. They've all been proven wrong dozens of times (i.e. Bennett was put in C tier before but he's now considered one of the most powerful 4 stars in the game). It is important to keep in mind that ALL (yes ALL) characters in Genshin are good when built with the right artifacts and weapons. I've seen people use full 4 star teams with 1 star weapons and STILL complete (36 star clear even!) Spiral Abyss, which is the hardest content in the game. Haven't spent a single dime in this game, and yet I have multiple 5 stars already and most of the 4 stars.

  6. I suggest you need to at least experience inazuma or even sumeru region and its archon quest and the newest chasm archon quest to fully give your thoughts on the quest lines because based on the footage you shown here you only experience the first 2 archon quest and that 2 quest are literally the game based quest on the game release, they are foundation to the newer one.. the newer one are more detailed, more high quality specially the cinematic cutscenes and they give more lore for world building.

  7. 'I go deep into genshin impact's gameplay, open world exploration, combat, gacha mechanics'. Well, no, it's not a deep introspection. It's actually 15% to 20% of the game that's been covered.

  8. Hey Big Dan, if gambling is good is swooping still bad? Lol. I was on the fence with this one so thanks for the review, I think I'm going to give it a try. Love the content, keep doing what you're doing. 🤟

  9. Here's the thing, they spent more than 5 years and $10m to make the game (up to liyue). After the game's massive sucessful they basiclly fourfold their development team(only on genshin, not to mention they started multiple projects like ZZZ), recuiting that number of new employees in a relatively short period of time is an extremely risky and unhealth practice. It takes a long time to fully absorb the new horsepower and we are just starting to see that taking effect in 3.0. In Sumeru there's better music/level design and everything especially a huge improvement in story-telling. A good script does not instantly come with a newly formed writting team. If you know anything about writters, they may be the most talented but also the most chaotic in terms of team-working. It took them two years to finally present to us the future of Genshin Impact and I think that's a reasonable amount of time needed. But for new players tho, they still had to sit through that 20+hours of 'old' gameplay before they get to the new content. This reminds me of FF XIV, I know it gets better…but still that first 10 hours or so is so unbearable I stopped playing.

  10. Ay man as a f2p myself i have to say, I started Genshin in update 1.2 or later i remember when albedo's banner was out and i had 0 idea what i was doing, but nonetheless- the music, the world building, characters and even the story itself so far has been absolutely phenomenal! Granted that yeah we don't have any endgame content yet, i would still say that genshin is still as fun as it was a year ago for me and i am happy with it 🙂 (P;S: it'd be best if we also stayed away from the genshin social community, twitter for the most part it's an absolute mess sadly)

  11. At least do Sumeru or Inazuma Quest.

Based in my experience in Genshin as F2P. You need to save primogems at least 2 months without pulling (if you do event, Daily, exploration and character story quest).

6,000 or 8,000 primogems every months we get in Event, Daily, website event, live stream code and Character story / Main Quest / Side Quest. Basically you can play Genshin as F2P as long you have self control.

By the way you get guaranteed between 75 – 80 pulls.

  12. Imagine if this has a dragon age level of party banter and suikoden character world placement where the playable characters are living their lives or at least there waiting while they are preparing for combat/recruitment.

  13. This review is kinda bad if you ask me, alot of your points kinda fall flat if you just continue the game. I wont explain myself because I cant be bothered to type it to a guy that blatently ignores critasism (reading comments).

For the people watching feel free to find other f2p reviews as this one is pretty misinformed.

  14. I"ve been playing as an f2p since the launch back in 2020. I still absolutely love the game: the characters are nice, the story/lore is fantastic and the exploration brings me joy (not all the time but especially when a new region is out, summer at this moment more specifically). As far as saving up goes: depending on how active/grindy i'm playing at the moment (say: events, new archon quests, etc.) it may take as long as a few months to save up for characters. I don't mind it as much as most of the characters that i like are four stars anyway.
For the combat: it's true that elemental reaction based teams are more favorable, considering the last physical focused 5star was Eula from Mondstadt, and deal more damage. It's also easier to do a quick-swap team that focus on elemental reactions rather than physical damage.

My bottom line is: there's no need to actually pay money for characters but it's true that staying active in the game such as completing all your dailies, the events and the archon quests all the time is necessary to collect enough primogems (excluding the occasional livestream codes that appear before major updates). But that's just my opinion at the end 🙂

  15. I love your mass Effect videos, but man honestly u have no clue about the combat system of genshin impact lol maybe play more & unlock more areas to find all those bosses out there which needs different type strategies to kill also about the mobs having high hp? 😂😂😂 my advice is play more before making a review or release a part 2 video, otherwise you'll be clowned by GI community as one of the most clueless review about the game

  16. I haven't watched your videos before but Youtube autoplayed it for me some reason and I was on board until at 4:25 you leave out Dendro element which has existed from the very beginning but with the latest update has been made available for players with the newest characters. You should correct this as the video was published after the said update.

So to me this puts the validity of anything you say afterwards in question and having listened for a while I seriously have to ask how much of the game did you actually play? 10 hours at most? None of the points you make sound like you understand anything about the combat system in Genshin or even explored more than 10% of its current map or seen the underground areas.

  17. Dont know what patch this review is base on but i believe you barely reach the next region or beyond and the mobs are more. Keep it up just need more research or give facts with patch you have base on your videos to avoid misinformation.

  18. Dude please stop talking out of your ass I've been playing this game free to play since launch and if you plan out what characters you want you'll get them. Plus your daily commissions won't be your only source of primogems there are the world quest, events, chest, etc

  19. Good to see you decide to continue playing. There is no video on YouTube evaluating Genshin content since Enkanomiya launch, curious to see your take on late content of the game.

  20. Wasn't expecting a Genshin review from you Dan….but I'll take it👍😂

Only gripe i have with the review is about the story being…not that dark. Give it time….it gets darker 👀….and it'll keep getting darker as the new regions unlock. Dont expect it to live upto Mass Effects story tho…..you cant improve on perfection 💁‍♂️

  21. I'm really curious to see your part 2 on the regions they built when they had raked in the money and put it back into the game. The parts you've reviewed are what the game released with but it was an enlightening experience to hear a fresh perspective on the release regions after playing so long in the new regions.
    Subbed.

  22. You haven't played much to say "is it really worth it" I will be honest
If you still early in the game you should do the research at least

Yeah and genshin story is really big, deep and dark it's not covering only main story quests you can find lore everywhere, genshin story is like a puzzle: world quests, books, npcs, descriptions of materials, weapons, wind gliders, characters voice-overs, time-limited events etc

You can get at least 8k primogems as f2p every patch and as f2p player myself I'm basically getting a 5* character every 2 patches (ofc if I want that character on the banner) and 5* weapon every 3 patches I would say genshin is really f2p friendly and you don't need to pay a cent to enjoy it I have been playing for almost a year now and I have no complaints 🤷‍♀️ it will just take more time than for whales that's all it's free game after all

And about enemies that's always like that in the beginning I'm not a meta player at all I hate that I'm just a common lore geek and even for me mobs are easy now

And don't look up tier lists all characters are fine as long as you give them enough attention, your time, care and love

  23. You should at least leave the starting area before making a review. It's obvious you haven't left mondstat much, most of your review falls flat just for that, if you'd explored further and did your research you'd realize this. Of course there isn't much variety in the starting area, it's supposed to be easy. Too much HP…really? I can one-shot all those enemies, I'm 100% f2p and have quite a few 5*, I've played since version 1.2.
I'd advise you to play more of the game, and make an updated review, otherwise you're going be seen as nothing more than a joke, with a massively misinformed review
