I think its kinda different leaks in anime/manga are bad, but if you spend primos for example on Klee and wouldnt know about yoimiya then some people could be angry cause they would rather have this char instead of the other one
Is it just me, or are the leakers going a little bit too far? Character, map overview, and weapon leaks are fine, BUT WHY, why do they gotta leak lore related stuff?
(Istg if they leak a playable character dying i'm gonna lose it)
I honestly really like the character leaks, seeing what the characters can do, their element, the weapons and the gameplay is all I want to see, anything else I don't care until it's official in game

Ok, honest question. Are all these leaks coming from digging through the current game's public version? Because if yes, its the devs own fault for it all happening. All the other gacha games I play almost never have leaks because they never pre-load future content into the game and the few times that leaks happened it was simply a text post by some insider.
I think there are certain tiers and etiquette to leaks, and this is true for all games. I think leaks for story content should be clearly labeled and easy to avoid, if they are posted all which maybe they shouldn’t be. But in the context of genshin I think leaking certain content can be helpful. For example plenty of people and interesting in sayu because she is a cute ninja tanuki girl. But since her abilities have been leaked people have been very interested in pulling her for [redacted]. Now some people might know to save primos for her. Additionally there are rumors Inazuma will bring new 5* characters to the permanent banner. If that is leaked to be true then people may want to start saving standard pulls. Even as far as knowing what items to pre farm, not that we can pre farm inazuman ascension materials right now.
At this point I feel like to find any kind of Genshin content that you'll enjoy you have to slog through leaks. And most of them are the same leak over and over :<

both a manga reader and anime watcher here, and i gotta say i understand both sides. when you have read the manga you can't help but feel excited and wanting to tell people about it. though i never spoil anything cause i myself hate spoilers.

The manga stopped at Ch 13 in the genshin mihoyo site.
I honestly don't have a problem with the character leaks since they get us prepared on when to start saving up and to debate whether or not we truly want that character by their playstyles. What I dont like is when they just spoil a whole entire map, storyline, OST (although I've only really seen bits of the map on youtube but it's still just dumb to spoil it).

Leaks about characters are probably the most okay-ish thing to leak(I put the word "ish" because it's not exactly okay to leak anything of future content)
BUT there's a line that leakers should never cross, and that's leaking story, maps, cutscenes, and everything else other that characters. Because WHO would benefit over story leaks?
They're basically the same as saying stuff like "Eren will turn into a dog in chapter 69 and 420"
