While playing this quest, the Chasm's Bed reminded me of the Sea of Quanta from Honkai Impact in some ways.

A chaotic place whose entrance lies at the bottom of a very deep place (in Honkai, the Eye of the Deep in the Mariana Trench leads to the Sea of Quanta). In this chaotic place, many spaces intersect with each other and the passage of time is also chaotic (in the Sea of Quanta instead of spaces, bubble universes often intersect).

In these spaces, there is something and/or someone the characters were looking for. In the case of Genshin, Yan Fei was looking for the Fantastic Compass and Xiao was looking for Bosacious. In the case of Honkai, Bronya was looking for Seele and the Herrscher of Reason's Core and Einstein was looking for Joachim/Welt Yang.

During the escape from these spaces, the space resisted by sending a flock of enemies to prevent the characters from escaping, and a sacrifice was almost made. On Genshin, the red phantoms tried to prevent the escape and Xiao nearly sacrificed himself. On Honkai, quantum type beasts (mostly angels and chariots) and some formless sludge tried to prevent Bronya's and Seele's escape which almost resulted in Bronya sacrificing herself to let Seele out of the Sea.

  3. Dear Hoyo•Mix,

Since you decided to take a step further on making progressive variations of Overworld themes for the battle Theme, I'd like to inform you, you're NOT allowed to go back.

    Thank you,
    Kind regards.

  4. what's interesting is that iirc the original of this is almost exclusively string instruments and by giving it that Chinese flair it compliments what already felt like a complete track. kinda makes me excited since Enkanomiya's Combat Beneath the Waves is also almost exclusively strings and if they'll do something similar to it in the future.

  5. Fun fact: the woodwind instrument used at 0:51 is also called Xiao (exactly the same pronunciation of the name of the yaksha in chinese), and it is also used in Xiao's theme and many other 2.7 OSTs.
