Nahida’s story quest part 2 opens a lot of mysterious tales about the world beyond and the world before the reign of Celestia, and today, let’s shift our focus to the central pieces of the board and ask the question: what do the Archons really know about Celestia?

Because as shallow as this question seems, each of the archons have their own way of coping through their silence, or sometimes, lack thereof. So, I want to investigate further into all of the four; what have they said so far about Celestia? How willing are they to open up? And how much do they know about its inner workings?

  1. Quick Mini Theory on on the 3.6 world quest, more specifically, a certain name that stood out to me; “Gnade”.
    I believe this is the name of Sandrone’s robot and is the main reason she is even in the Fatui harbingers in the first place.

    Let me explain…

    1) “Gnade” was an abandoned ruin machine that was potentially one of the strongest creations during its time, using the energy resource that the fontaine explorers wanted to utilize (forgot the name).

    2) It seems to have been broken out as shown within the area where we fight Killjor and his buddy friend, most likely by the fatui.

    3) Sandrone at this point has shown very little expertise in making machines, with her only potentially useful trait being the katherynes (doesn’t justify the 7th placement, though)

    4) “Gnade” seems to appear more advanced than the typical ruin machine, yet Sandrone is known to not have owned the ruin factory in the Childe story quest (that was Dottore). This can imply that she didn’t make it herself, but most likely has the most control over it compared to the other harbingers.

    TLDR: Gnade big funny robot butler.

  2. You know, imagine if Venti doesn't turn out to have a large impact in the story by the end, gonna make all those Venti sus theorist look very silly. Honestly I think I figured why I have a problem with Venti sus theories, they're emblematic of something I see too much in society especially among my generation right now, gen z. Its jumping to a conclusion without proper evidence, just acting on gut instinct.

    Did anyone ever think his hesitation when talking about Celestia might correlate to his drinking habits, that its tied to his regret rather than any ulterior motive. Its a common theme in Genshin actually, that actions in the past coming back to haunt the present. Its something we actually get to see in both Ei and Zhongli's story quests we see how these people deal their past sins. We don't see it with Nahida herself because she's relatively young, but we see it with Apep. We have yet to see it come to forefront with Venti like how it did with Ei and Zhongli, but we can see glimpses. Honestly, I think Venti might have some imposter syndrome given his story quests.

    Its actually kinda poetic, in the game a nun didn't believe Venti was Barbatos despite saying it directly, and here we are players believing Venti is deceiving us when he has never told the Traveler a lie…ever. No seriously, when has Venti lied to us?

At the end of the mondstadt archon quest venti gives a LOT of information about visions, explicitly saying he shouldn't be telling the traveller this (calling vision holders allogenes) and the fact that this hasn't been brought up directly since then is very interesting to me. I believe that venti and zhongli both agreed to the same contract with celestia/the heavenly principles/whatever made the contract, but only venti is willing to break it, since preventing him from speaking about what he wants contradicts with his philosophy of freedom. I think he is worried about whatever his repercussions will be, or what the repercussions will be to anyone he divulges information to, which is why he is so fickle and avoidant, but I think if it came down to it and he thought it was the right time he would definitely reveal Big Things to the traveller. it just hasn't been the right time yet, maybe the traveller doesn't know enough for venti to feel like they're ready for what he needs to tell them? or maybe he's very guilty about what happened at khanriah like zhongli seems to be.

Venti lies yes, but he never withold important information from the traveler, if he doesn't want to speak about it yet there is a reason, the traveler is probably not ready yet, remember the wind brings the seeds and accompanies them but the seeds are ultimately cultivated by time. Venti will tell us what he knows when the time is right

I get that zhongli descender theory doesn't have anything to do with his trustworthiness and most of the parts of the story he's involved in, but is there any particular reason you don't believe the theory? I haven't been able to find any evidence that points to the contrary, even in other translations of Genshin.

  15. One thing i am not too sure about is if Zhongli's contract was with Celestia.

    Do we really know who made him promise not to talk about the Cataclysm? It wouldn't be entirely out of question for that to be our Twin, or even some Pierro.

I feel like Nahida knows the consequences of giving top secret information, it's just that she doesn't care as much because if Celestia destroys her, the Irminsul will have another copy of her which again is a blank slate that "doesn't know the consequences"; so it's like she found a loop hole and is abusing it.

  25. Well the hydro archon knows not to make a enemy of the divine, the pyro archon for some reason, shares her secrets with the travler to eventually prepare the story for tsaritsa rebellion against it, I think it pretty much summarize every archon opinion and trustworthiness on the subject

  26. i highly believe in nahida that she isn't hiding anything as she is a baby god sort of and she really wants to help traveler, i don't think that ei actually knows anything but she may hide it to protect her nation, zhongli i guess has told us truth abt everything he knew and anything else he can't say as he has a contract he can't break it, venti is the sussiest of all. he does help us with his poems and songs and we have to decipher it…but i guess venti has visited celestia in person and has the strong ties with a shade of P.O so if he wants tell the truth he has to take risk of the safety of mondstadt as the nation might get nuked or venti may die if he reveals anything
    i am really waiting for fonatine as i heard that CHUNK OF ISLAND is floating on FOUNTAIN

    VENTI IF DIRECTLY TELL US
    ZHONGLI IF HE BREAKS THE CONTRACT WITH CELESTIA AND TELLS US
    AND PYRO ARCHON AS IN TRAVAIL ITS STATED THAT SHE SHARES SOME SECRET TO TRAVELER AND ITS NATLAN SO I BELEIVE SHE WILL TELL ABT CELSTIA BUT WHO KNOWS?

  32. genshin archon is the real enemy of the game the names of archon is base on demon lords of purgatory (statue of the seven) the 7 demon lords. i guess the real god of genshin is the one they called them the sinner maybe the twin of traveler knows that.😅😅

  34. After lantern rite this year, I honestly believe that Zhongli is trying his hardest to push the traveler towards some of the answers but can't say anything himself due to some contract. He accompanies us on journeys and tells other peoples tales in hopes that we will read between the lines and see what he is trying to say.

    He has told us about the horrors of the Archon War via Havria (and that history can be changed), the danger of erosion via Azdaha and with lantern rite, started to clue us into the tale of Guizhong.

    Interestingly enough, he hinted that there are more sides to that story and that the researcher who was suspicious almost of how Guizhong was able to be killed was mentioned as the closest to the actual truth. I really think he wants us to know more about this but can't say himself due to some contract surrounding her death.

Maybe lord rukadevatta wasn’t particularly scared of divulging information or wisdom just like Nahida, sure she’d of course be careful with forbidden knowledge and knew the dangers of the needles, but wouldn’t rukadevatta be a literal extension of Irmimsul? Maybe she inherently had less of a leash on her by celestia as the extension of irminsul, maybe she didn’t have “true” fear of celestia but rather some form of distaste, after all the censorship of celestia would inherently go against wisdom and what irminsul stands for as a sort of historical timekeeper

  36. It doesn’t seem that zhongli is afraid per day he just has a contact and he values that above all (because he tries to get past celestia by metaphor) that brings up a question why isn’t he afraid as much as ei or venti
