Hey guys, Chop here! The 3.6 world quest Khvarena of Good and Evil as well as Nahida’s second story quest involving Apep, both gave a lot of little lore hints, but perhaps the biggest is the hint at a ring Dainsleif was holding tightly during the Cataclysm. From this and the – at least part – confirmation of my Nibelung video related to Khaenri’ah’s downfall, I’ve been able to dedicate this video with relations to the Snake Ring constellation, the serpent in the Gnostic Hymn/Chorus and the Dragon King Nibelung himself. Plenty more 3.6 content is on the way, but I’m still researching into it more, because it’s incredibly abundant, but also shallow. So, it’s quite hard to make a dedicated video out of everything I’ve been finding so far. But be sure that when I do work more out, I’ll let you all know about it. Until then… Chop out, bye!

The land things sparks something interesting actually; remember that someone/something stole the lands from the dragon kings what if khanrians are actually descendants of the dragon kings taken human form think enkonomya aka dragon people and they wish to reclaim their lands using abyssal power e.g the dark ocean. Just thoughts that came to mind
Alberihhrhrhh?! I love it.
Now this caught my attention. I believe in a theory that Marshal Knight Regent Anfortas is an Alberich and possibly Kaeya's grandfather. Maybe Kaeya mistook him as a pirate because Anfortas lost his left eye after fighting Hadura.
When you brought up that the dragon kind was the sinner, I had to pause the video and think about it for a minute. When I really think about it, it makes SO MUCH SENSE! In the hierarchy, that's why the Abyss twin is called the prince/princess! Because above them in the power of the Abyss is the Dragon KING! This makes so much sense!
However, it would also make just as much sense if the other theory I've heard that King Deshret is the sinner was true. Both have "king" as their titles and both were inflicted with forbidden knowledge. Both are equally viable options as the "king" of the Abyss.
As for what could've been taken? I think the Abyss sibling has knowledge that the sustainer didn't want them to take with them. Perhaps the Abyss sibling themselves is tainted with forbidden knowledge and the sustainer didn't want them to take that knowledge to other worlds. That's just a thought though.
The fossil fighters theme 😌
I think the ring is very likely what could be what allowed dainsleif to survive the curse imo. In the “Requiem of the Echoing Depths” archon quest, dainsleif comments that Halfdan couldn’t have survived without “It”, if this “it” is indeed the ring you’re talking about then it makes sense
I have a theory in my head that because sumeru had three gods, the green rainforest belonged to Greater Lord, the desert belonged to King Deshret or Al-ahmar, and the new desert map are belonged to the goddess of flowers. I think in the lore the goddess of flowers and king deshret stayed pretty close to each other because he offered a place for her to stay or something, and also liked her, but I could be wrong. Also because there’s a large tree with flowers in the new area so that kinda confirmed my theory but who knows 😀
What if kaeya is a decandant of niebelung( a vishap person )
Roozevolt is great
The Sinner and Nibelungg are someway connected right, both know forbiden knowledge. And Apep in some point of the story said that he gave the forbiden knwlegde to Deshret (Amon) who is introduce to Apep by Nabu Malikata. So who is the Sinner…. the second to come?
I love this video and I really believe this theory is somehow true
Where is the Turkish text :/
I also believe the Dragon King is going to be the second who came. The account of that war match up well with Apep’s description of the war and after math.
Sooo @ about the 5:00 mark you said khaenri’ah was fighting the abyss instead of being the ones who actually unleashed it and I agree BUT I have also developed a crack theory that I think there are 2 sides of “khaenriahn’s” …the ones who we now know fought against the abyss (from the 3.6 world quest) and then the ones who were on the side of the abyss , aka the albreich clan who took over when Irmin was “incapacitated” and their followers that also were on the side of the abyss !!
This is really weird. I've been having similar thoughts about Dainsleif's ring being a reference to Der Ring des Nibelungen since a few days after 3.6 came out, but I don't find it strange that someone else made similar observations. No, what's strange is that I was just talking in detail about this in the comment section of ShadowX5452 Gaming's newest video just a few hours before this was recommended to me. What's even weirder is that, while I was mostly just making observations, he equated the potential power of the ring to the Genesis Pearl.
I don't really feel like rewriting everything I said, so if you don't mind, I'll copy and paste much of what I said, and maybe there could be something useful or interesting gained from that conversation of mine.
"I think Dainsleif’s ring that Zurvan mentioned could be a reference to the titular ring in Der Ring des Nibelungen. In Norse mythology [I meant Germanic legend here] , Dáinsleif is King Högni’s sword, so Dainsleif being called the Twilight Sword in-game makes sense, but in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Högni(or “Hagen”, as he’s called in the opera), is the son of Alberich, and spends his time in Götterdämmerung trying to seize the Ring from Siegfried.
Although these are two different iterations of Högni, I think it’s interesting to see Dainsleif mentioned anywhere near a ring.
Now that we have a Nibelung in the game and he has been directly connected to the pursuit of Forbidden Knowledge, which the Khaenri’ahns are also known to have gone after, this ring being mentioned in the same version just sticks out to me.
I do admit it could have simply been his signet ring, which is something the knights of the Schwanenwritter were said to carry. Being another knight of Khaenri’ah he probably had one.
Even if his ring is a reference to the Ring, I don’t really know what it would do in Genshin. I don’t think it would have the exact same role and powers as the one from the opera, so while I think it is a reference, I don’t have any theories at the moment as to why it’s important, just that it’s a cool reference."
A couple of other observations I've made since having that conversation are that Dainsleif may further be connected to the Ring cycle because Hagen is a character from the Götterdämmerung, or "Twilight of the Gods", which could be the inspiration behind his title of Twilight Sword, and that Dainsleif serving under the Alberichs in the final days of the kingdom could be a parallel of Hagen's subservient position to Alberich, his father, in the opera.
the ring lives rent-free in my head 😩 Dain needs to come back so I can shake him down for info
"curse" is just a figure of speech. It's an environmental contamination.
