The game has been going on for more than 2 years now with so many characters, I highly doubt they will make her the way as described now. 5stars are money spinning stuffs for the company, don't think they will dig their own coffin.

They make rosaria boobs half the size of the event with Albedo, but introduce enemies with triple her size LOL
At this point i call mihoyo a troll company, and don't take me wrong, i still love Genshin is still an absurdly amazing game.
But whatever game mihoyo will make in the future, I'm out. Even star trail that i wanted to test and try, no thanks. I wont even look in that direction just because its mihoyo.
Dehya is (probably) going to be an off field tank. They will (probably) introduce new enemy units that deal lots of damage and easily break shields.

Not gonna lie I heard the info on dehya but yall forgot. Last 3 regions or hydro, pyro and cyro. So far dendro Mc was pretty good and hoping it's an upward trend.
IVE BEEN SPEAKING ON THIS FOR MONTHS NOW! EVERYBODY WOULD CALL ME OUT, I TOLD YALL THEY ARE POWER-CREEPING ALL OF THESE NEW 5 STAR CHARACTERS TO THE POINT THEY'RE NOT EVEN PLAYABLE. FOR WHAT REASON? THIS ISN'T A PVP GAME, WE PLAY AGINST CPU. THEY'RE ONLY MAKING IT HARDER FOR NEW PLAYERS TO GET MATERIAL WHEN THEY PULL FOR A 5 STAR WHO CANT EVEN COMPETE AGISNT BOSSES/DUNGEONS. NOBODY LISTENS TO ME, THEY WILL STILL PULL AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR CHARACTER BEING WEAK LATER. IF PEOPLE WOULD STOP ALLOWING HOYO TO COPY PLAYERS KITS, RELEASE TRIPLE NERFED 5 STARS, AKA STOP PULLING. HOYO WOULD FINALLY LISTEN TO US AND USE THW BILLIONS THEY HAVE TO MAKE GOOD, CREATIVE, STRONG CHARACTERS!
What is the harm of making a character too OP? They kill bosses easier, and its easier to get material?? Worst case they can easily patch and put a nerf on the character. Its MUCH harder to patch and buff a character after a release, I don't understand why they would rather release a 5 star that cost $2000 US to get C6 so weak. Why make them so weak?? It would just be logical to make them stronger and then have to nerf, so that way fans can enjoy some of the damage potential the character has. Make better characters who do more damage and increase the difficulty of the monsters, but nerfing 5 stars is not the answer, especially when we have the OG 5 stars that set the standard of how characters should scale. It makes no since why the past 4 5 stars that were release (besides Nanhida) we actually 5 now with Alhaitham are this weak. You can't even compare them with the other Main DPS units. Im just done with his game dude. Before anyone makes excuses, there is no reason a billion dollar company gives us products like this. How day you make billions and this is what you give to the consumer. Its just unacceptable, & thats something everyone can agree on. A company that makes billions, should be doing more than what HOYO is giving us. End of Story.
Personally, I'm going to pull. Dehya's personality and design is what caught my attention.
I really like that, hope they left her like that, I am curious how many people will go for her even that. That shows us how much-cursed genshin and this community is.
I want Yelan and Dehya before first leaks. And was very sad I can't get both. Now it's way more easy to choose)

honestly i knew something was off when hu tao and yelan rerun were right before her banner. people in the comments are like "oh she'll be good for fontaine characters" which is fine for a 4-star but if you spend money to get a 5-star she should be usable for current game content at C0. and even if fontaine units help her her split scaling and the rest of her kit will still be an issue because mihoyo never goes back to fix kits w/ split scaling not for candace or xinyan and definitely not for dehya
I don't understand why the strongest member of a contracted military force that already has overpowered cyborg soldiers with cyborg familiars as an arsenal be so incredibly weak that she doesn't do good damage or support any teammates well enough to take down that said military force in abyss.
What baffles me is that her skill has a “unique” mechanic (not saying it’s good just different). Why they wouldn’t incorporate the “dmg sharing” from her skill into buffing her burst, is baffling to me. This would allow her function like a tank who can defend teammates and use that to buff her burst damage. Something like “For every hit that is mitigated/shared, Dehya’s burst is increased by 20% dmg (maxing out at 500%)”. At least then she could be interesting, right now she’s looking like a mediocre damage brawler DPS.
As far as comparing her to Xinyan goes, the sad part is that Xinyan can be somewhat redeemed with a Redhorn Stonethresher, provided your Xinyan is C6. Her kit is still a mess, worst designed kit in the game so far, but she becomes a viable four star at that point, comparable to most other four stars with five star weapons. With Dehya so far, though, I look at her kit and I just have to wonder, "What is her purpose?" The 2.5s on her pulsing seems way too slow for Burgeon, and while her damage absorption seems like it'd be handy against the self damage, well, why not just use Thoma? And for burning, well, why not use Xiangling or Bennett? Then there's her constellations, which suddenly add more hp% stuff, whereas before, that is pretty much missing from her kit.
The only thing I can see so far is that maybe she'll work with Yoimiya, if you want to run Yoimiya without a shielder. She'll get Yoimiya interrupt resistance, plus soak up damage, helping with her squishiness. You'll get pyro resonance without needing Benny. The pulse should trigger Yoimiya's burst. Not saying she'd be good that way, compared to other options like Zhongli, but that's one use I can see for her.
I do have to wonder if this is a bit of an Alhaitham situation. He was nerfed before release as well, and then tweaked/buffed. It seemed more like it was done for a vision of how he should play. So maybe that is what is in store for Dehya. She still is a ways out, there is time for them to adjust her. But, even then, her being an off-field support doesn't seem to match how she is portrayed in the story. There, she comes across as an upfront fighter, not a commander in the background or other support. She should be an on-field character.
Overall, I'm far more interested in her sword at the moment. Finally a five star claymore that is both a good crit-based stat stick and has a useful passive for non-def scalers.
Still we never say that enough, pull the characters you like the most, all the meta talks is about floor 12 – 3, If you think she's badass and good looking go for it , you don't need to do 431K dmg to beat an hilichurl
Just to let you know, if you plan to play Burgeon with Dehya as she is now in beta, she's going to be outclassed by Thoma in every way. Thoma has better pyro application and uptime than she does to trigger burgeon. Plus his shields completely nullify burgeon self-damage as opposed to Dehya who will only mitigate 50% of the damage.
Dehya will be a burning DPS, Baizhu will unlock her full potential. #hopium You’re not going to use her with hydro but will use double dendro, double pyro (Nahida, baizhu as buffer, bennet and Dehya)
They killed Candace, they're gonna kill Dehya too. They only care about Liyue /China characters, that's how dumb these CN devs are.

Weren't you an advesary of challenging combat content in genshin? How does it compile in your head with caring about character strength, if it's irrelevant once you build 2 abyss teams? As an old time player, you should take the hint and ignore meta completely when choosing who to roll for.
Personally, I'll be obtaining Fire Punch KINO day 1 and probably 36 starring abyss with one true Deshia team, which is mono pyro.

Cyno, Candice, Xinyan, and Dehya all have kit issues…… Well, if Dehya's nor fixed, then y'all know deep down what the issues are…. Tan character. I've ignored that argument before now I can't. CCP is not going to let a Darker skin characters take top.
