There is a virus out there, which cannot be contained by any means available to humanity, and yet, the Chinese Government, in a vain effort to protect its own vanity, chose to enact Absolute Lockdown upon its citizens. Hubris. For those saying "It sucks, but they have no choice," I don't know what to tell you anymore. It's been over 2 years. Red states have returned to normal since forever ago and are doing fine. Most of the Western world has relaxed their preventive and containment measures to only those which are least obtrusive to normal life, and are doing fine. Clearly China could do the exact same, understanding that Covid will always be with us and tragically reap a loved one every now and then. This foolish attempt by the Chinese Communist Party will only worsen the situation, by creating economic instability, poverty and deaths of despair, whilst falling utterly to reach the "Zero Covid" goal. Even if this campaign somehow curbs the virus in the local area momentarily, it will return with a vengeance the instant China reopens the doors as they are obligated to do at some point.

    Genshin updates are the least of my worries. Would they be delayed or forever cancelled, I will survive and be fine. There's much more at stake here than a Waifu Collector. Pray for the Hoyoverse devs and all the folks in China. They didn't do anything wrong and deserve nothing of this persecution enacted by the rotten elite running and ruining their country. Long live the Chinese people and fuck the CCP.

  9. I feel worse for China/Shanghai then Genshin players. The situation there is so fucked.

    If this is true and 2.7 is delayed but it's the way it's been described then I'm fine. Getting an extra double banner for three weeks but 2.7 will be cut in half length wise with just a Yelan banner is fine by me. They could make 2.7 full length and I'd be fine. Honestly I would be down for them doing nothing for three weeks. That's just more time to save gems for new mommy Yelan.

  10. Well, even if the patches are prepared before they're released, what about about the next patches after that? They'll still be affected as well. Either mHY would rush things to get back to their original plan or improvise for the current situation.

  17. It's a 50/50 on the postpone of 2.7 bc of what Teccy said, the fact that they make these updates weeks in advance. I see it being more likely that 2.8 is delayed since more than likely they have started on 2.8 now

  18. 4:35 I think this is going to depend on real world events.

    If they're still really struggling with COVID by mid 2.7, I think they'll go 2.8 do a double/quadruple rerun and shove in easy events to pull off (eg. Liben, photo, seelie, ley line, rerun the Archipelago by refreshing the chests, etc.) with potentially apologems if there's backlash.

    If things are NOT absolutely fucking awful, they'll probably pull the trigger on 3.0 even if they have to pull a few things from the line up like they're doing right now in 2.6. I honestly think this is the more likely outcome but we'll see.
