The real answer is that it depends on your situation and what you want. While the 25% is recursive you will have to have it hit 3 times before you get another craft. So depending on the material if you want just a few to lv up 1 character or weapon its better to try with 10% rather than get stuck multiple times with 1 or 2 useless materials where you could have already gotten the good material. If you plan to craft that material for a long time then yeah, the 25% is better
you forgot that the dupe can also be recursive as if you can get three dupes you can craft again. so unless you're crafting the highest tier use duplication passive.
I also use the refund. Dori, Xinqiu and Mona are great for crafting. It's not always good, but sometimes I can a decent return, enough to make 1-3 more materials (depending on the quantity I'm doing). It doesn't seem like much, but it's quite helpful.
The double product… Hmm, gave up on that a while ago. At least with the refund, you have the option to craft or keep.
Guys just use the refund when you have something like 5/3 because then you have higher odds of getting the bonus and then if you get one back use the double
Let's say I have 300 tier 1 material. With 10% chance – we can get 110 tier 2 material
With 25% chance. First craft will give you 100 tier 2 and 25 tier 1 Then 2nd craft (craft 8) you gonna have 108 tier 2, and 3 tier 1 (1 from the balance of craft 8, which is 25-24 and another 2 is from 25% of 8) Then last craft you get 109, which have 25% you have extra tier 1.
Of course this is not the correct probability calculation (like 10% chance does not always result in 10 in 100 tries), since I don't learn much about it. But I don't think it's wrong no? Idk how you get 33% though
It depends when u doing 4* materials for example and u run out of 3* ones and u need only 1 more even if u get something back it will not be enough so the 10% makes sense
if you have a dori or another character that gives you bonuses you should buy the smaller materials from the stardust shop so you can get a chance to get more
This is just strictly incorrect. Let's use the same number as in the video when explaining why the refund is supposedly better, that number being 210. If you craft 210 of a material with the refund passive there is a 25% chance of getting one of the base materials back with each craft: 210 * 0.25 = 52.5. You can't use all of those 52.5 so you instead use 51 to craft 17 more with 1.5 leftover of the base material: (17 * 0.25) + 1.5 = 5.75. Now you have enough materials to craft 1 more with 2.75 of the base material leftover: (1 * 0.25) + 2.75 = 3. You would now have enough for 1 more craft with a 25% chance of having one extra of the base material remaining. So to add up everything you crafted you would get: 210 + 17 + 1 + 1 = 229. So on average you would get 229 green hilichurl masks with a 25% chance of having one grey mask leftover if you have average luck. Now to compare the 10% chance you can just do: 210 * 1.1 = 231 It is strictly better to use the 10% chance of a double if you want a material, unless you are only crafting a small amount of materials where getting one or two 25% chances are enough, but not getting a single 10% chance will be too little. Some extra notes at the end: In the video when crafting masks, the results were significantly above average: 58 / 210 = 27.6% and: 7/19 = 37%. And even with these results it still only ends up being enough to craft 231 green masks with 2 leftover with 2 chances of getting the 25% chance for a refund that could give the third grey mask necessary to make another green mask. This is within a reasonable window of just getting lucky, but you could also get slightly above average luck when using the 10% chance for a double. The second note is that it does also increase mora costs to use the refund, because it doesnt cost extra mora to get the double, but it costs mora to craft more.
I do 10% up to the last multiple because sometimes you’ll have 2/3 left and then use the recycle on the last 1/3

So what we should take away from this is, Dont stop gambling? 😭 I ain't hakari
I only use the 10% when I have exactly a multiple of 3 drops for crafting
you forgot that the dupe can also be recursive as if you can get three dupes you can craft again. so unless you're crafting the highest tier use duplication passive.
What?
so ur telling me if i get insanely lucky i can manage to craft like infinitely??
If I’m doing batches of crafting I do 25% but if I’m only doing 1 or 2 I’ll use the 10% and do it one at a time
I know the maths but i still use sucrose simply just bcs she always delivered the double chance instead of dori that tends to give me nothing
But for books i use xingqiu bcs he da real mvp and layla just sucks she gave me nothing or ripped me off 90% of the time
I forgot i even had sucrose so I've just been using dori-
I use both
I literally never get the double so i have to use cashback cuz this way i'm actually getting something
So I should stop using both???
I was right, I use the correct passive!
Hehe
I also use the refund. Dori, Xinqiu and Mona are great for crafting. It's not always good, but sometimes I can a decent return, enough to make 1-3 more materials (depending on the quantity I'm doing). It doesn't seem like much, but it's quite helpful.

I just always use the 10%. I hit the odds pretty often and it's really nice when you're just making a couple materials and get almost double out of it
Plus less subsequent crafting afterwards
Doesn’t the argument you make in favor of the 25% option ALSO work with the 10% option?
I use Dori's passive since getting her. She is a good character (not play style personality) change my mind.
I always use the 25% one cause my lucks bad lmao
It depends if you have 3 crafts with 2 remaining its better to go with 25 to get the extra but if its a large ammount its better to go for 10
The problem is that the 25% for the cash back is a passive for dori, and I hate Dori
And I think the 10% is per used craft able not for the entire stack. So every piece gets a 10% chance in double. It's my theory.
Better yet switch then around depending on the situation
Really? Let's do some test
Let's say I have 300 tier 1 material.
With 10% chance – we can get 110 tier 2 material
With 25% chance.
First craft will give you 100 tier 2 and 25 tier 1

I don’t even have sucrose, so it’s not even something I have to worry about
Yeah I used 25% cuz 10% sucked
Jokes on you, I only have access to one of those talents
It only works if you have a lot of the same material and it has to be a blue or purple
i use the bonus for greys & greens, cash back for blues
It depends when u doing 4* materials for example and u run out of 3* ones and u need only 1 more even if u get something back it will not be enough so the 10% makes sense
Wait cash back is only 25%? Why I am getting it always then?

I just use that already because 25 bigger than 10
I do my crafting right because I only have one character with one passive anyways
I would use it if dori didn't have it tbh
I dont even have dori or sucrose 🥲
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOV UR CONTENT!!!!
Any mfs like me never use that craftinh thing bfr?(only for artifact
"Anyone with math knowledge-"
Me who has been failing math since kindergarten:
I do the 25% to round out my number then all in on doubles
Video is wrong. Long story short, check wiki talent efficiency , 10% double is ALWAYS better
the real awnser is if you have much use refund if you dont use double
Bro I play a gacha game, I will always gamble
