I think this is the first character in beta that hasn't been subjected to the common doomposting, and that alone really speaks to how good she is. At the moment I'm probably leaning towards Raiden Yelan XL Kaz/Suc being the best team in game too

Unfortunately most husbando collectors are starved for units, so we reward MHY by pulling for Ayato even though he is utterly mediocre.
Never again…even if that means I have to give up Cyno.
Is R5 stringless the best 4* option for her cuz I can't think of a better 4* weapon for her besides maybe BP weapon ?
Im not saying something others haven't already said, but I think this comparison is rather unfair. Something like C6 Xingqui is what Yelan SHOULD be compared to.
This is like comparing Diluc Vs Hu tao in a single target situation. You're putting up an AoE character against a Single target character in again, a single target situation.
Note, Ayato is a character who does damage over time, but Yelan, just like Xingqui is more like a nuker, so of course Yelan does more damage.
Any reason wangsheng recommends 200% er on her?
Careful folks things may be subject to change don't get your hopes up and get disappointed. If you like the character go for it just be prepared for any changes to avoid unmet expectations.

As long as we can use her burst with other characters that would be great. Wish Klee could do that. Tho I’m mostly going to be spamming her skill cuz I love mobility uses just like Kazuha and Xiao and Keqing Sayu.
Great video, but I’m waiting to see the video that compares the weapons, because I’m not pulling for the 5* weapon. Looking forward in particular to the 3* weapons slingshot, recurve bow, Sharpshooter’s Oath (even the raven bow is possible for some nice vapes for those that don’t have better options) and the 4* stringless, the 3 er bows (including the new one) with emblem and the mouun’s moon
In the Yelan mains discord, the current TC on her ER requirement is to get 200% ER. This is in rainbow team without Raiden. They say 4 piece emblem of servered fate and getting at least 200% ER would be ideal for C0-C5 Yelan so her damage would be less than the math video but her burst uptime would be reliably up every rotation.

I am really curious about stringless versus her signature weapon. Stringless is not a crit dmg weapon but R5 48% DMG buff to skill and burst is significant for this type of character.

Are you comparing Ayato vs Yelan in a single target setting? What about aoe?
Why aren't you comparing Yelan to Xingqiu instead of Ayato? They both serve more similar roles than Yelan does with Ayato. Why not compare her to Childe or Kokomi? You're already doing cross-role comparisons.
You sold us on Ayato for weeks, hyping him up with your math guides. Are you going to oversell Yelan, too? Or do you just specifically hate Ayato now for some reason? Not sure which is it.
I think you should compare her to Xingqiu since he has more hydro applicaiton, I don't think Yelan will work in the same comps he does since she's a weaker hydro aura.

I honestly think it's ridiculous that she does so much damage comparing to ayato. Yeah sure ayato is aoe and yelan single target (but she can hit multiple targets easly as well so) but to think that her solo dmg can be compared with the one of a full team comp ayato is just stupid. She should be a sub dps too right? Then why she does more dmg of a proper dps? Also she seems very versatile too for the buffs and hydro application; not even including the boost difference in costellations. I just hope Yealn is going to be nerfed before release and maybe ayato will get some buffs

Koinzell, her A4 damage buffs are most likely not a separate modifier, but will instead be added to the other dmg bonuses.
Even if you don't think they are, can you consider them as a worst case scenario? The buff being a separate multiplier would make other teams too cracked.
