Why The Genshin Anime is Guaranteed to be a Success

The Genshin Impact long term anime collaboration with Ufotable has been recently announced and it’s plain to see that it will definitely be a huge commercial success. In this video I dive into exactly why I believe this to be true.

  1. Only way I could see the anime not doing well is if they completely butcher the story. In terms of literally everything else (visuals, music, atmosphere, etc) both Hoyo and Ufotable are the masters of their craft so that’s basically the only way I could see this not being incredibly profitable for both of them.

  2. ufotable alone would carry a genshin anime, the fact they chose genshin out of all things too with its popularity fr is just a guaranteed trending every episode regardless if story isn't the best LMAO

  3. I hope they tell a different story with the anime, kinda like how the manga was basically a prequel. Would be a bit boring if the anime was just the game's story again, but I wouldn't mind that either.

  4. I love and hate the idea of an anime for Genshin. What I’m worried about is the anime making the world in the game feel small or incomplete. The anime has the biggest potential in creating and fleshing out the world of teyvat that could evoke awe, wonder, and the wanting of exploration. Meanwhile the game is very limited in making the world feel full of life. Thwn if you compare the anime to in game then the game would feel boring or falsely advertised or something. That is assuming if the world in the anime is gonna be drastically different and not mirroring the in game world 100%. I say that because I’m judging it on the promotion animation because it doesn’t show any recognizable locations in game. If the anime completely makes the world as in game then I guess I’m fine with that. But even then the in game world would still feels kinda empty. The anime would probably make the world seem more lively but that’ll only show how empty the game really feels. Maaaaan idk how to feel bout this anime D’x
