The Genshin Impact long term anime collaboration with Ufotable has been recently announced and itโs plain to see that it will definitely be a huge commercial success. In this video I dive into exactly why I believe this to be true.

i hope it gets to be as good as fate or demon slayer but i might expect Tales of Zestiria level
Only way I could see the anime not doing well is if they completely butcher the story. In terms of literally everything else (visuals, music, atmosphere, etc) both Hoyo and Ufotable are the masters of their craft so thatโs basically the only way I could see this not being incredibly profitable for both of them.
ufotable alone would carry a genshin anime, the fact they chose genshin out of all things too with its popularity fr is just a guaranteed trending every episode regardless if story isn't the best LMAO
Yea
Looking forward to an animated Dottore.
The anime will have all the success you want, but the game will remain stale and abandoned.
I hope they tell a different story with the anime, kinda like how the manga was basically a prequel. Would be a bit boring if the anime was just the game's story again, but I wouldn't mind that either.

All I want is to see the fluffed up hair compared to the character's in game hair.
I CANT WAIT! ๐คฏ
Khaenri'ah's fall. Check my comment in a few years.
Genshin and ufotable seem like the perfect collab its already the best anime for me
Honestly, the best direction the anime could take is an exploration of the pre-history ofTeyvat (phanes, the Archon War, the Cataclysm, Enkanomya, etc.)
sorry but no
I hope they follow the main story as I only played till the second region ingame and got cold feet cause there was too much content ..
Short summary: Weebs have no interest playing game but will watch the anime
I really hope they donโt just retell the game story again.
This will either be a welly aged video or a poorly aged one. There is no inbetween.
I didn't expect the Anime to be amazing story-wise like many video game adaptations in anime (Edgerunners is an exception lmao), but I really hope this video ages well.
My biggest fear is the plot too.
I love and hate the idea of an anime for Genshin. What Iโm worried about is the anime making the world in the game feel small or incomplete. The anime has the biggest potential in creating and fleshing out the world of teyvat that could evoke awe, wonder, and the wanting of exploration. Meanwhile the game is very limited in making the world feel full of life. Thwn if you compare the anime to in game then the game would feel boring or falsely advertised or something. That is assuming if the world in the anime is gonna be drastically different and not mirroring the in game world 100%. I say that because Iโm judging it on the promotion animation because it doesnโt show any recognizable locations in game. If the anime completely makes the world as in game then I guess Iโm fine with that. But even then the in game world would still feels kinda empty. The anime would probably make the world seem more lively but thatโll only show how empty the game really feels. Maaaaan idk how to feel bout this anime Dโx
Hope they include all of the cutscenes with full story we been through. Even include cutscenes from events and stuff ๐
